After graduating with honors from Creighton University School of Dentistry, Dr. Boain went on to become a Fellow with the American Academy of General Dentistry and an Associate Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He also joined Advanced Dental Implant Studies in Atlanta, where he travels to four times a year to learn advanced surgical techniques and attend focus conferences. He is passionate about dental health and understanding the complexities of implant dentistry. He recommends patients do their research to understand their dentists credentials when choosing a dental implant provider.
Dr. Boain has been in practice for over 13 years and strives to educate her patients for optimum oral health. She enjoys taking the time to be there for her patients and offer them the best care. Dr. B moved to Missouri in 2006 to join her husband in the dental practice. She was born in Fargo, ND and grew up in Wyoming. Although she misses the mountains, Missouri is filled with wonderful people and enjoys summers with her family spending time at the lake. She spends most of her free time enjoying her 3 children and loves to travel with her family throughout the U.S.
Dr. Michael Lorenz, Jr. is a St. Louis-born, second-generation dentist. Early in his career, Dr. Lorenz spent time in public health, working with an underserved population in Jefferson County, Missouri with Community Treatment, Inc. (COMTREA), and also in private practice in Chesterfield, MO. with Dr. Michael Grasso, DDS.
He was born and raised in Clarkson Valley, and is thrilled to be practicing dentistry in his hometown among fellow Cardinals and Blues fans! Dr. Lorenz and his wonderful team have the philosophy of patient-focused and compassionate comprehensive care that is gentle and empathetic. Using the most proven and high-quality materials available, we think you will be impressed by our services. In his time away from dentistry, Dr. Lorenz enjoys playing golf, hockey and mountain biking.
Dr. McCormick practiced general dentistry in the surrounding Pittsburgh area, with his most recent time spent in Buffalo, NY. As a dentist, Dr. McCormick strives to achieve the best quality care for his patients, with a strong focus on patient centered care. He looks forward to working with you to achieve your best smile. He is moving to the St. Louis area with his wife, who is continuing her fellowship training in pediatric critical care medicine at St. Louis Childrens Hospital. In his spare time, he enjoys running and playing soccer. You may see him around St. Louis with his wife and their 1-year old Italian Greyhound, Oliver.
Prior to joining Boain Dental Care, Dr. Guttman served as a Captain in the US Air Force at McGuire Air Force Base Dental Clinic in New Jersey from 1972 to 1974 before moving to private practice in 1975. Dr. Guttman is still enjoying his long career of providing compassionate general dentistry, often treating three generations of families. His loyal patients appreciate his philosophy of never forgetting that theres a real person with feelings on the other end of that tooth hes working on.
Dr. Guttman enjoys traveling, especially cruising, movies, reading, and going to the gym regularly. He tries to keep up with technology and takes pride in his ability to operate his tv, computer, tablet, and cell phone with only a little help from his grandchildren.
I have been a Dental Hygienist with Boain Dental Care since 1989. I really enjoy working with all of our patients but the best part of my job is the relationships I have with my patients and their families. My husband Gary and I have two daughters, Melissa, 17 1/2 and Janelle, 16, and a son, Hunter, 14. Our kids are very involved in sports and we spend a lot of time enjoying their games. I love sports and spending time with my family!
As a child, I had bad teeth, a mean dentist and dental fears. My prayers to the Tooth Fairy to make my teeth healthy and my dentist kinder were ineffective. I began my dental career with the promise that I would help people feel comfortable and confident about dentistry. I wanted to make a difference. I've been in dentistry for most of my adult life. I've been a hygienist at Boain Dental Care since 1995. I'm proud that we provide excellent, cutting -edge dentistry with compassion and understanding.
