After several years as a General Dentist, he proceeded to seek a higher level education and completed a Graduate program in Endodontics at the Henry M. Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry in Boston MA, where he obtained a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Endodontics as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry degree.
Dr. Blumenkranz is a Past President of the Venezuelan Society of Endodontics, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Venezuelan International Symposium of Endodontics (Twice), International lecturer, and coauthor with Arnaldo Castellucci in his Textbook Endodontics. He has held positions as teacher of Endodontics at the Graduate Programs of endodontics at the Universidad Central de Venezuela as well as in the Universidad Santa Maria, also in Caracas.
He is a Honorary Member of several Endodontic Societies, Life Member of the American Association of Endodontists, member of the American Dental association, The DC Dental Society, Alpha Omega and several other Endodontic societies and Study Clubs. He constantly attends continuing Education Lectures not only in Endodontics but in many other aspects related to Dentistry.
When not in his office, Dr. Blumenkranz enjoys golf, traveling, reading History books and driving his 1968 Jaguar E type as well as doing High Performance Driving School in Summit Point West Virginia.

I was dreading my visit but I know I needed the root canal. Starting from making the appointment to getting the work done. TOP FLIGHT!!!! It went perfect. This will be the only Endodontist for me. His Assistant was caring and patient. The Dr. OMG you will be in the best hands. Don't walk.... Run. You will be amazed and Happy!

Dr. Blumenkranz and his assistant are incredible! This was by far the best experience that I have ever had at the dentist/endodontist. I went in with extreme pain and extreme anxiousness (I have always hated going to the dentist). As soon as I heard the words 'root canal', I was terrified! But they made me feel completely relaxed, eliminated any outside noises and distractions, and paid full attention to my needs and concerns. The assistant/front desk worker was very welcoming and spent a considerable amount of time communicating with my insurance company on my behalf. During the visit, Dr. Blumenkranz was especially helpful in informing me, in a very patient manner, what was happening at each stage of the process. I am still in disbelief about how painless, easy, and pleasant the visit was. It was 10 times less painful than getting a cavity filled! I don't think I will ever again experience the same amazing level of care that I received at their office. Thank you to Dr. Blumenkranz and your assistant!

Dr. Blumenkrantz is an amazing doctor and a wonderful human! I have never had a better medical or dental experience in my entire life, and I am blown away by the kindness and service of everyone who works in the office. They are incredibly considerate, friendly, and radiate goodness and warmth. Root canals are never really fun, but the one I received from Dr. Blumenkranz wasn't painful, and was about half as uncomfortable as my previous root canal experiences. I highly recommend!

Dr. Blumenkranz gave me a root canal almost ten years ago. Since then, I have had at least four different dentists look at my x-rays and say that whoever did my root canal did a great job. I wouldn't call getting a root canal a "happy experience," but I'm very happy that I chose Blumenkranz to do my root canal!

I just had my first visit with Dr. Blumenkranz for a root canal because my dentist told me he was the best and referred me to him and I am very happy! I live in VA but decided to come to DC for my dental treatment at his office because I wanted to get my root canal with him. I was nervous when I heard I needed a root canal but when it was time for my visit he explained everything he was doing as the procedure went on so that I would not be nervous or have anxiety. He had a great attitude throughout the whole procedure which made me feel a lot better,and made me laugh too. He is a very professional and experienced doctor and very nice person! I had no pain during the procedure my 2 sessions either. I will definitely come back and would recommend him 100%. His assistant is lovely too. She is very polite and sweet. This a great office where you will feel taken care of and have a pleasant experience!

On July 22,2020, I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Blumenkranz and his staff. Very professional in how they handle appointments. There was literally no wait time in the waiting area. I experienced no discomfort during the root canal procedure. As far as I can remember, I had never been in a dental chair for over an hour and I began to experience just a little anxiety during some downtime during the procedure. Dr. Blumenkranz and his assistant were very patient with me, thorough in taking the appropriate time to ensure the procedure was done correctly. Anyone seeking an endodontist in the DMV, I highly recommend Dr. Blumenkranz and his staff.

I've had several visits with Blumenkranz & staff, having dental work can be very stressful & being this was my first Endodontist experience , it was not bad, at all. The staff is wonderful & Dr Blumenkranz made me feel he had full control over my dental needs. The 5 stars is well deserved!!!

Dr Blumenkrantz set my expectations at the consultation and guided me through a root canal process. On the day of the root canal he notified me of each step and asked to raise my hand should I have any discomfort. Penny, the dental technician was pleasant and helpful getting me set up. After on the next day, the office manager (Janice) contacted me to see how I was feeling. At the time I was fine, but the following day I had a lot of pressure sensitivity. I called the office and they were prompt at getting me a prescription sent to my pharmacy. I went and picked it up. The following day Dr. Blumenkrantz gave me a call to check in. The prescription was working and I was feeling much better. I was very pleased with the service and work Dr. Blumenkrantz and his office provided. I would highly recommend this office.

I had the best root canal in my life ! and, I owe it all to Dr. Blumenkranz. What makes him amazing is that he takes the time to explain your care in its entirety. His concern and compassion for his patients are boundless.
