Dr. Blume and staff promote preventive dental care including a healthy diet and great oral hygiene at every visit. Because of this, we love to have parents with their children during their first visit. This gives us the opportunity to educate you as well, so you can help reinforce these healthy habits at home.
Dr. Blume’s goal at Blume Pediatric Dentistry is to provide your loved ones with personalized care and attention. Each member of our staff works endlessly to create a safe and comfortable environment for our patients. We understand that when it comes to your children, you want to make sure you are providing them with the best care possible. Dr. Blume believes that knowledge is power, and patient education is also a top priority at our office. Beyond the treatments we offer, we want to ensure that the families that come to our office leave having learned more about proper oral health care and maintenance
The American Academy of Pediatrics, The American Dental Association, and The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, all recommend establishing a Dental Home for your child by one year of age.Visits by this age are an important step in establishing excellent oral health for your child with an emphasis on preventive health care.
Dr. Blumes priority is your childs oral health and positive self-esteem! You will find that she approaches dentistry with a focus on educating the patient and the parent about how to prevent oral health problems, not just treat the ones they may already have. She wants everyone to take away some new knowledge about their care and reinforce the strengths they already have! A mother of two children, she knows what it is like to be a parent doing your best to raise great humans and wants to help you succeed! You will also notice Dr. Blume is a dog person! She has trained her Goldendoodle, Raney, to help anxious kids be more comfortable in the office! Be sure you ask to see her if you are interested. Dr. Blume is passionate about spending time with her kids when not at the office. They love musical theater and can be seen at the Majestic Theater, The Public Theater, or The Woodlawn Theatre most weekends. When not at the theater, both kids play volleyball, so thats where you will find them. They also love hiking some of the local parks, like Friedrich Wilderness Park, Eisenhower Park, or at the Pearl.
