Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

I don't usually give reviews but I had to give Dr. Kyle, Conner, Laura, and Violet a huge shout out. This office is the best! Super friendly, everything was explained in detail, everyone was very patient with me. I had some extensive work done today and the entire process was very smooth, they always made sure I was comfortable and doing ok during treatment. If you are looking for a dentist give them a call!

Dr Ragan is always super nice and patience with me. I've been seeing her since 2016/2017 when they opened the dental office, I believe. She answers all my questions and gives me confidence in what is next for my treatment plan. I really trust and recommend her, she does not push you to do every single treatment, she's super honest and tells exactly what you need. I drive 30 minutes just to see her :) - this time Angela also assisted with my cleaning and she was very kind and professional.

Absolutely the best dentist in Kansas City. Explains everything as she goes and very pain conscious for the patient. My fear of dentistry is over. Dr. Ragan Newland is the best.

I have gone to them over the last year for cleanings. I need some implants done and after researching cost the seem to run 30% to 50% higher than industry standatd..standard. They replaced a crown that I am pretty sure didn't need replacing.

After previously having a negative experience at my previous dental office I came to Bluhawk dental and Briana at the front desk was amazing and super friendly and Dr. Newland was very comforting and compassionate I will definitely be back!!!!

Both of my kids (5yo and 8yo) go to Dr. Hampton. He is very patient with them and does a great job making sure they're comfortable with what is being done. My daughter was terrified of needing to have some teeth pulled to help with crowding and he spent the time she needed with him to make sure she was calm enough to get it done (and believe me, it took a while). Can't say enough great things about this dental office, and particularly Dr. Hampton!

Could not have had a better experience here! Came in for a check up and cleaning and Dr. Hampton was very helpful and explained the best process to proceed and we were able to get all of my treatment done in just a couple hours! Dr. Hampton was very knowledgeable, efficient, and worked well with his team. He also helped work with me on price and they were all very reasonable with payment structure. I will definitely be going back and would only trust Dr. Hampton with my care!

Decided to try this office for a consultation and this was my experience. Waited for 30 minutes after scheduled appointment. Had to complete the same paperwork that I completed on-line the day before. #annoying Technician was awkward during 3D X-Ray. Room where exam was to take place was NOT SANITIZED upon arrival so technician had to scramble to clean it while I was standing there. Then asked several more questions that were clearly answered on-line the day before. When she left the room she said, "I'll see when the doctor can step away from surgery to see you." WHAT? Waited for an additional 20 minutes, then walked out. My time is just as valuable as theirs. They are refunding my co-pay and sending my x-rays to a different provider. This was one of the worst dental appointments EVER. Take your chances.

I had to change my review while I was still being treated by these folks because they hollered at my wife for my honest review and I was seriously worried my care would diminish even more if I left the honest review up. My honest review...go literally ANYWHERE else for your dental needs Prices changed, treatment plans changed they lied they hollered and in the end I think I would have gotten better treatment anywhere else

Great place to go for dental visits! I visited BluHawk Dental Group for a 6-month cleaning and they were efficient, thorough, and professional. My cleaning was quick and painless and the Hygienist, Holly, made sure I was comfortable throughout the visit. The entire office was very friendly and they talked through my dental health situation in detail to make sure my well-being was prioritized. Additionally, this office looks modern and has new technology which is always great to see in dental offices. I will definitely be returning in the future!

Look at the reviews. They are scamming people. My husband went in today and they would not do his cleaning because they said he needed a "deep cleaning" which would cost $500. They are trying to upsell services and refusing to do routine services through insurance. We get our teeth cleaned every 6 months. A "deep clean" was not needed or asked for.

When I first started going here a few years ago, everything was great. The staff were kind and they helped me through my anxiety of dental offices. But after the second routine appointment, things started to go downhill. I saw a new doctor every visit and felt like I never saw the same set of hygenists there-- like they hired and let staff go on a more than regular basis. Not a huge deal to me as the staff were still nice, so I kept going. I started having issues at my appoinment Spring 2021. I had to remind the staff twice that I was due for xrays. I had to remind the hygenist and doctor three times that I needed impressions to be fit for a new night guard (new puppy decided mine was a chew toy). They seemed annoyed by it, but I KNEW I was due for them and was in desperate need of a new guard because I'm a heavy grinder. They should have been eager to help. Then they sent off the wrong mold (sent the top, I wear a bottom) which took almost a MONTH to get back after they told me it would only be a week and I had to keep calling them about it. Then it had to be redone and took ANOTHER MONTH to get it back. I don't know why I went back for my routine visit this fall, but I did. And I needed another night guard because I lost my new one on vacation (it happens, okay). The hygenist was nice, but the doctor was very off putting and not friendly. He wasn't mean, but he wasn't that warm either. I get my cleaning, get a new mold made (which hurt because the lady doing it pressed too hard) and wouldn't you know... got the guard back and it didn't fit. I argued with the doctor for 20 minutes before he finally agreed to take another impression. Went back a week later and it STILL didn't fit!!!!!! (It can't be that hard, right???!!!) So at that point I just walked out of the office, no night guard, and I don't plan on going back.

I've been here twice--once for a check-up/ cleaning (during which the dentist caught a problem early) and once for teeth whitening (after which my teeth were noticeably whiter). Each time, the staff has been knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The tech they use for displaying images is also cool. But what really stands out about this place is the price transparency. More than any other medical/ dental group I've visited, this practice goes above and beyond to talk patients through their options and the cost upfront--it's really great.

This place is absolutely fantastic! They are super kind, and have amazing knowledge in the field. They are always making sure I am comfortable during any part of the process. Been here twice already, and will definitely be coming back.
