After graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1997, Doctor Andrew Burtreturned to Bowling Green where he has been in private practice . Dr Burt attended Western Kentucky University as a student athlete (Football) in the early 1990s and continues to be involved with WKU athletics as a member of the medical staff/team physicians. He loves all aspects of dentistry but truly enjoys the surgical/restorative aspect of implant and cosmetic dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Burt enjoys playing golf, boating, WKU and youth athletics, and spending time with family and friends.
Doctor Shuemaker attended the University of Louisville for his undergraduate studies, receiving the McConnell Scholarship for political leadership, and graduated with a degree in Biology in 2003, with a minor in political science He graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2008. He then practiced in Birmingham, AL for 5 years focusing on childrens dentistry. He moved to Bowling Green in 2013 with his wife Jennifer, who is a practicing Nephrologist. Together they have two children. Dr. Shuemaker has been practicing with Bluegrass Oral Health Center since late 2013 at primarily the Smiths Grove and Morgantown offices. While he enjoys all areas of general dentistry, he particularly enjoys Pediatric Dentistry and Oral Surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Shuemaker enjoys golf, softball, fishing, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
Doctor Thomas Birkenhauer has been practicing at Bluegrass Oral Health since 2010. During his time at the University of Kentucky he was voted class president by his classmates for all 4 years. After graduating he married Dr. Thomas and they joined the practice together. Dr. Birkenhauer enjoys many different aspects of dentistry, but loves full mouth rehabilitation because it requires the use of so many different skills and truly changes peoples lives. In his free time he enjoys fishing, hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his kids.
Doctor Meghan Thomas attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in Biology in 2006. She attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and graduated in 2010 and moved to Bowling Green with her husband Dr. Birkenhauer to join Bluegrass Oral Health Center. Together they have 2 children. Dr. Thomas feels lucky to be in a practice that allows her to be both a dentist and a mother. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Kentucky Dental Association. She is also trained in BOTOX therapy by the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics and has enjoyed adding another life changing service to her practice. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family.

I will not be taking my daughter back. Never in my 32 years has a dentist ever numbed both sides of a childs mouth, or anyones mouth for that matter, but they did to my 6 year old. Didnt even give the nitrous, or the shots in her mouth time to even help her before they started doing anything. My dentist actually give the stuff time to actually start working before he does anything. Guess I'll be finding her a new dentist.

This was my first visit with them and they were so nice. Got a well needed cleaning and now ready for the rest. My nerves are gone. Made you feel so comfortable. And was very gentle. I'm just totally pleased. And would tell anyone this is the place to go for the whole family. I'm 62 and my grandkids are 4 & 10 and they both go.

THIS IS THE ONLY DENTIST THAT I WILL EVER USE. DR. DANIEL GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE SURE HIS PATIENTS ARE TREATED EXCELLENT AND THEIR NEEDS ARE MEET. THE STAFF THERE IS JUST AS GOOD AND THEY ARE THE MOST FRIENDLY PEOPLE YOU WILL EVER MEET. IF YOU WANT A DENTAL EXPERIENCE THAT YOU ARE GONNA BE EXTREMLEY HAPPY WITH THEN I WOULD RECCOMEND GIVING THESE GUYS A CALL. THIS PLACE ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS, AND THAT IS VERY RARE IN 2022

I just recently started going to this dentist office. I am so glad I made this decision. The office staff are very helpful and nice. Dr. Clark and Dawn have went above and beyond to make me feel less anxious at each visit. I highly recommend this group for your dental needs.

I'm so happy I picked this dentistry to go to. The staff really care and make sure you are comfortable, especially if you have extreme anxiety like me. Dr.Clark and his assistant was awesome, I do not fear of going back. I 10000% recommend this business

This place is not the same without Dr.Care, Went in to get filling redone and tooth felt chiped.This was right before the pandemic hit so I waited a while to be seen.I felt horrible going in and horrible going out and six months later I'm still feel horrible . Doctor did not listen and I was telling him I was having pain I highly do not recommend going to Dr Pain. The customer should always be treated with high regard and respect in this case it was not provided.

I went in staff was very nice .Cannot remember the dentist I saw he was a young man with dark hair, They numbed my gums to remove a back molar then minutes later gave me two injections which hurt terribly .Then I could still feel pain when he tried to remove it so he gave me another injection. I could still feel pain so he said I would have to return and do it all again! I felt tortured! I am so afraid of dentist I am surprised I went through that twice but the second time he managed to get it out. I wish they had offered me a sensitive but no one did .I hear some say there is a pill to relax u that some dentist with give u but I have never received one.I am so scared of shots in my gums I feel like I will pass out! Right now I am looking for a dentist to remove two molars and I am scared to death But think I may have to return there because of insurance.

All 3 of my kids have gone here and got exceptional care. Today I was going in for several extractions which my own nerves got the better of me and I was unable to go through with the procedure. They were all understanding and very helpful. I was very pleased with all services rendered to both myself and my children.

I have been a patient of Dr Kerr for 40 years. After his death a dentist name Dr Daniel Birkenhauer has been seeing patience in his office. I have seen Dr Daniel three times now. He has always taken ample time sitting and talking with me about procedures and making me feel comfortable. He is absolutely top notch. Today, 3/16 he extracted 2 infected teeth. I am 71 years old and always went to oral surgeon for extraction. I decided to just have Dr Dan take them out. I want to say I was so very nervous when I sat down in the chair. Dr Dan had provided a tablet for me to take when I arrived at his office. I took it. I actually never knew when he removed the two infected teeth!!! There was no pressure, absolutely no pain and little bleeding. I have not had any pain or discomfort throughout the day whatsoever ever I am so very fortunate to have found Dr Dan as a dentist. And further, you just cannot beat the support staff at the office. They go to great lengths to calm you and make you comfortable and they are extremely good as dental assistants. The receptionist are so professional. If you need a dentist, this is the office to go to. I give It 5+ stars !!!!!! Bill Jenkins.

Very friendly. My child needed alot of work and was wonderful with him and working with insurance. Before coming to Dr Kerr he was afraid of the dentist and didn't and didnt want the work done but here at this office they made him comfortable enough and after 2 and a half years we have got him work done. Highly recommend this office. Thanks for the friendly staff.

Very friendly. My child needed alot of work and was wonderful with him and working with insurance. Before coming to Dr Kerr he was afraid of the dentist and didn't and didnt want the work done but here at this office they made him comfortable enough and after 2 and a half years we have got him work done. Highly recommend this office. Thanks for the friendly staff.
