After graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1997, Doctor Andrew Burtreturned to Bowling Green where he has been in private practice . Dr Burt attended Western Kentucky University as a student athlete (Football) in the early 1990s and continues to be involved with WKU athletics as a member of the medical staff/team physicians. He loves all aspects of dentistry but truly enjoys the surgical/restorative aspect of implant and cosmetic dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Burt enjoys playing golf, boating, WKU and youth athletics, and spending time with family and friends.
Doctor Shuemaker attended the University of Louisville for his undergraduate studies, receiving the McConnell Scholarship for political leadership, and graduated with a degree in Biology in 2003, with a minor in political science He graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2008. He then practiced in Birmingham, AL for 5 years focusing on childrens dentistry. He moved to Bowling Green in 2013 with his wife Jennifer, who is a practicing Nephrologist. Together they have two children. Dr. Shuemaker has been practicing with Bluegrass Oral Health Center since late 2013 at primarily the Smiths Grove and Morgantown offices. While he enjoys all areas of general dentistry, he particularly enjoys Pediatric Dentistry and Oral Surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Shuemaker enjoys golf, softball, fishing, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
Doctor Thomas Birkenhauer has been practicing at Bluegrass Oral Health since 2010. During his time at the University of Kentucky he was voted class president by his classmates for all 4 years. After graduating he married Dr. Thomas and they joined the practice together. Dr. Birkenhauer enjoys many different aspects of dentistry, but loves full mouth rehabilitation because it requires the use of so many different skills and truly changes peoples lives. In his free time he enjoys fishing, hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his kids.
Doctor Meghan Thomas attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in Biology in 2006. She attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and graduated in 2010 and moved to Bowling Green with her husband Dr. Birkenhauer to join Bluegrass Oral Health Center. Together they have 2 children. Dr. Thomas feels lucky to be in a practice that allows her to be both a dentist and a mother. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Kentucky Dental Association. She is also trained in BOTOX therapy by the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics and has enjoyed adding another life changing service to her practice. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Just went in there for a root canal and it was a success! the dentist dr young was right on point every time and his assistant allie was equally as great at what she does. Give them both a raise! Can't wait to go back. Ps I'll be back

These guys are professionals they know what they are doing and they try to make procedures as painless as possible. We are working on a top implant and they did good work. Before we did work we discussed price and Dr B was gracious and we settle on a price he discounted for me. You can't beat this kind of service. Ladies up front are great, they help wherever they can.

I have a few teeth that have been hurting me. Made an appointment when I got there everyone was nice and friendly. They made me so comfortable. The dentist went straight to wiri and took out two of my teeth. We also made a plan to finish fixing my smile.

Bad customer service. I called because I missed an appointment to reschedule and they told me that I needed to call on a day they could work me in, instead of offering me a new appointment. I will probably look for a different dentist now. This review is for the Morgantown location.

Excellent job! Had all bottom teeth extracted and Dr. Birkenhauer was extremely gentle. Very friendly and courteous staff; would recommend to anyone.
