Our patients are amazing and I love helping parents and children with their smiles. The kids always put a smile on our faces. They have the best stories, and also I love seeing their confidence rise when we complete orthodontics on them.
I love working with kids because I love seeing things from their eyes. Children look at the world in a different way than adults, they have a passion for life, learning and imaginations as big as the sky. And I love the interactions I get to have with them.
My favorite things about working for Bluefish are the relationships and chance to give kids and parents preventative knowledge about oral health. Did you know that tooth decay is the second most common disease after the common cold?
I love being able to work with children and teach them how to take care of their beautiful smiles. Did you know that tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the human body. Not even your leg bones are stronger!
My favorite thing about working for Bluefish is the amount that I have learned from my coworkers, they are great teachers and people. I also love the magic that we are able to create with the kids here at Bluefish.
I love the humans. Especially the little ones. Snuggling them makes my tail go fast. I do my best to give them loves when the doctors look at their teeth. I use my teeth to eat snacks. I love snacks. But mostly I love kids.

Our office, in agreement with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommends establishing a dental home around your childs fist birthday. Having a dental home allows your child to become familiar with the dental office at an early age. These visits help establish trust and offer a fun experience.
As a parent you can prepare your child for their first visit by speaking positively about the dental office and reading age-appropriate dental books. At this age, the world is still very new to your child and fear of the unknown is both common and understandable. Saying that the dentist will check to make sure your teeth are strong can help decrease the anxiety your child may experience.
Around age 3, most baby teeth will have erupted into the mouth. Establishing good habits early will allow the dental office to be a happy place for your child. It is important to maintain healthy baby teeth for their developing eating and speaking patterns.
Healthy teeth start with good brushing, and our team loves teaching children how to brush! Because kids usually have more independence than dexterity, we also love empowering you with the best ways to supervise and help out. Our goal is to make your childs dental routine second nature.
During this transition time, we may begin to discuss phase one orthodontics. Providing interceptive or preventative orthodontics can decrease treatment time once the patient is in full braces and help correct crowding problems early on.
Teens have more influence on their own lifestyle choices. With this independence you may see an increase in cavities related to diet changes or substance abuse issues. During adolescence we discuss diet and also monitor growth.

We absolutely LOVE Bluefish, and are thrilled to provide a review. Our young daughter has life threatening food allergies, so we have to take a lot of extra precautions in our daily life. Bluefish has been incredible!!! They have far exceeded our expectations and have provided a safe environment each time we have an appointment. They take extra care to wash hands, wipe down their areas & change gowns before seeing our daughter. They even encourage us to keep reminding them to check labels, wash hands, etc. Thank you for being so amazing!! You have helped put this very anxious mama at ease.

This morning we had to get a tooth extracted, and we all know this can be hard for anyone let alone a kiddo. The team was amazing and handled cooper very well. I appreciated them letting him take the time to calm down, and work out his anxiety. We always have a great experience and they are amazing with all of my kids. Thank you all sooo much for taking the time to make the kids comfortable and making it the least traumatizing experience possible.

I was lucky enough to get a referral to their office and I'm so happy I did. They were so kind and understanding with my obviously terrified toddler! Every visit was great and I left feeling like we got great care. The dentist there was very nice and communicative. 5 stars.

Dr Cate and ALL of the staff at Bluefish are amazing!! We feel like family there, they listen well, are flexible in working with us, and provide top notch care. The dentist can be a scary place especially when you are trusting someone with your kids. I've had nothing but the best service! Every single person greets you with a friendly face and puts you at ease. I absolutely recommend this place!

My son fell and had to be seen on an emergency basis. We were not current clients and I called while I was driving there. They were extremely accommodating, every single person there was so sweet to him and made him feel so comfortable for what wasn't just his first traumatic experience but his first dental experience all together. The dentist sung to him as she did his exam, they gave him multiple presents, and even asked me how I was after everything was said and done. I have very high standards and it is rare that I am blown away, but I truly was by these amazing individuals.

Friendly staff however service was slow. My son waited 25 minutes in the lobby to be seen. Two other patients that came in after him were seen first. After an hour, we had to leave without an exam due to work. Now I have to take more time off of work to schedule another appointment to finish the exam portion.
