Dr. David Nisenboym graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior and a minor in Russian language. He then attained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from San Franciscos University of the Pacific Dental School in 2013.
After completing dental school, he completed a dental residency with the Pascua Yaqui tribe of Arizona. While serving the dental needs of the tribe, he gained valuable clinical experience in many procedures including implant placement, IV conscious sedation, root canals, crowns, fillings, and dentures. Following his residency, Dr. Nisenboym returned to his alma mater for two years as a pre-clinical instructor. Dr. Nisenboym also holds an IV Conscious Sedation permit that enables him to administer IV sedation at his practice. He is also a member of the following professional organizations:
If you have a pet, I definitely want to see a picture of them. I love animals and plants! My family has three generations under one roof and we love doing things together. We have 2 dogs a jack russell mix and a chihuahua. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and love it here. Theres so many beautiful places to hike and see. Cooking and food is my sweet spot. I enjoy all the different cuisines the Bay has to offer.
My previous customer experience and education in Communications has helped me blossom into the Patient Care Coordinator position. I love the interaction I get when talking with patients about their dental health. I am the first smile you will see when you walk in!
The most important thing to me is my 7-year-old daughter. Staying home with her and a good movie or book is my idea of a good time. If Im not home, Im probably at the bowling alley throwing down some strikes! My family and I have been bowling in a league for quite some time. Born and raised in Antioch, my sisters and I do a lot together.
I became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2019 after attending Carrington College. With the constant change of technology, I am learning something new everyday. It is very rewarding to know that I helped our patients achieve their smile goals!
I was born in Pearl City, Hawaii. Growing up, I had an underbite and ended up spending so much time in the dental chair that a career in the field made perfect sense to me. I started out as a Registered Dental Assistant for several years before becoming a Financial Coordinator and now Office Manager for the Blue Wave Dental team. My focus is to attend to our patients needs, both clinically and financially. Seeing their smile and boost of self-confidence is the best part of my day!
I married my high school prom date. We have two adult sons and a Coton de Tulear dog. We are all big foodies and enjoy trying new restaurants. With the boys grown and out of the house, meals all together is a moms dream come true!

Amazing staff and very nice doctor caring a lot for patients and let you feel comfortable and feel free to ask any questions you have. Such an amazing team. Clean clinic. I highly recommend to always having them.

Let just say from beginning to end this dental office is a class act. First the office help refer me for an emergency root canal when I was in pain. Then I was able yo schedule the crown within the following week. Staff & Dr are all very kind & professional & let's not for get the calming view from the chair!!!

Blue Wave Dental is the BEST!! I can't say enough about Dr. Nisenboym and his team. I know that I am in the best of hands when I am there. He does fantastic work, including the recent crown I had placed. Dr. Nisenboym makes appointments easy & comfortable. The ability to get a crown made & placed in the same day saves time. I am so happy to have finally found an amazing dentist that I trust. I highly recommend the professionalism, warmth, and expertise of Blue Wave Dental!

This rating is directed toward the policy of the clinic to charge $100 for less than 24-hour cancellations. While I understand that cancellations should ideally be over 24 hours, so they could fill that spot, in these COVID times, I think establishments need to be more flexible. It is supposedly stipulated in the contract when you first sign as a client of the clinic but who remembers those things? They should at least give you a friendly reminder, which I did not receive during the several calls I made to schedule and reschedule that late cancellations have a penalty. Also there is no water dispenser or disposable cups which you would typically find in a dental clinic. As you can imagine, after a dental service, you'd like to gargle and also drink but they will offer tap (which would've been fine) but there's no disposable cups! so how am I to drink it?

I've been a patient here since before Doctors Chang and Mullen turned the clinic over to Dr. Nisenboym; I'm very happy the quality service has continued. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the office is very clean. No complaints!

Their office is clean, tidy and efficiently run. The staff are friendly and always addressing me by name. I never felt rushed and appreciated seeing Dr. Neisenbolm after my cleaning, making a quick inspection of my mouth and teeth. He also asked the hygienist if he observed any issues while preforming the cleaning, which gave me confidence that the office operates as a team.

It is so relieving to have found an honest dentist. The office staff is so welcoming and Dr N slowly talks you through any procedure he is doing. So nice that they can make crowns in house. No going back and forth to appointments. Had it fitted start to finish within 2 hours. Highly recommend!

While not my actual dentist (the office is in CA and I live in NY), during a trip to CA I needed to see a dentist urgently. Dr. Nisenboym was suggested to me by many people, and after my visit, it's clear why! His office is modern and clean, the staff is super friendly, and Dr. Nisenboym himself is excellent! His attention to detail, bedside manner, and dedication to quality dentistry using the latest and advanced techniques in dentistry has made him my favorite dentist on the west coast. If anyone in the Bay Area ever asks me for a recommendation for a top notch dentist, Bluewave Dental will be my emphatic answer going forward.

I haven't been to the dentist since 2019 and with the pandemic, it would be awhile till doing so. I had moved and wasn't able to see my old dentist and dresded trying to find a new one. My sister always raved about how much she likes her dentist and she always had a wonderful experience with them - so when the pandemic lifted as much as it is now, I scheduled an appointment. I l, for one, always hate going to the dentist but with them, I felt at ease/comfortable. Everyone in that building is enjoyable to talk to and they make sure that you understand what they've discussed with you before moving forward. I am, for once, looking forward to going back and having my teeth taken care by them.
