Being a Dentist gives me the opportunity to help someone every single day!Seeing a patient change how they speak and smile, once they do not have to hide from their teeth, is very rewarding. From minor procedures that change the appearance and self-confidence of a patient to full-mouth restorations that drastically improve health and function, each patient I see reinforces my passion for dentistry. Iabsolutely love changing the lives of my patients through dentistry - it makes me smile!
There are so many aspects of health and wellness that begin with the mouth, and any time I can see a small problem and fix it before it becomes a big problem, I consider it a personal victory. I hope that every tooth and smile I fix helps keep each patient healthier and happier.
I have wanted to be a dentist since the age of four. Helping people has always been part of who I am. I planned my education with dentistry in mind until I was in college. Then, I started working in a dental office to gain first-hand experience of what it was like to be a dentist and quickly realized that I was on the right career track and continued full speed ahead!
A graduate of the Alcona Community School System, I stayed in northern Michigan and attended Alpena Community College and the University of Michigan for my undergraduate education. I completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistryin 1995.
As a dentist committed to learning, I stay up-to-date on the latest technology through a variety of continuing education opportunities. I enjoy interacting with my peers and taking part in discussions regarding treatment methodologies, in addition to absorbing the wealth of information available in dental journals and online webinars. Every bit of knowledge I acquire allows me to improve the care that we offer to our patients.
I grew up on on a family farm on Spruce Road in Spruce, MI, a small town in northeastern Michigan, and the inspiration for the name Blue Spruce Dental. I now reside in Napoleon, MI with my wife, Jennifer. She is my rock and works hard for our family, as well as the business. We have two children, Ryan and AnnaMarie who are both attending Central Michigan University. Our family is complete with our Beagles Opal and Ruby, three cats named Stella, Nike, and Gabby, and lots of backyard wildlife that is always trying to eat our garden.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family. Our favorite way to relax is to go camping. We have many favorite destinations including Gulf Shores, Alabama andRocky Mountain National Park, toLake Michigan Beaches and Northern Michigan. We love to hike with our Beagles and enjoy bikingwhen we are camping. I know I have had a really nice getaway when I can get lost in a good book - especially around an all day campfire - that is the best! .
Even though my wife and I are not musically gifted, we have enjoyed the musical talents of our kids though their time at Napoleon Schools and now both our members of the CMU Marching Band. If there is a home football game, we will be in Mt. Pleasant, MI cheering on our Chips on the field! Fire Up Chips!
Over the years, I have been involved in many community groups from Boy/Girl Scouts of America, the Jackson Food Pantry, High School Band Boosters and various projects involving our church and school district. As a small business owner, it brings me joy to sponsor our local youth baseball, softball and basketball teams and other neighborhood fundraisers. I loved growing up in a small town and being a Dentist in a small town community gives me the opportunity to give back to others.
I am truly blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and I try every day to make a difference in my patients' lives. I extend a very warm welcome to Blue Spruce Dental and look forward to you meeting our Dental Team and having you become a member of our Dental Family.

We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.
I have been in the dental field since 2014. I have been in the customer services field since I was old enough to have a job and have always enjoyed working with people! I have furthered my business education by taking classes at Baker College. I honestly feel that dental work is fascinating! My favorite part of my job is helping our patients achieve their goals to have a healthy, beautiful smile!
My favorite thing in the whole world is my daughter, Ellery! She is my mini me; we love Mommy/Daughter dates often to dinners, movies, shopping, beach days, waterparks, museums, Tigers games, and anything fun we can find to get into! She takes ballet and jazz classes, keeping me a busy Dance Mom! I also love going to concerts and have seen many performers! My family and friends are important to me and I cherish my time spent with them the most.
My husband and I have two sons and a daughter which keeps our lives pretty busy! In my spare time I really enjoy reading, writing, shopping and volunteering at my church and attending church functions. With my busy work life and busy mom life, I enjoy when I can find time to relax and recharge!
I began my career in 1987, holding every position in the dental office, except being the dentist! I am forever reading and love attending continuing education to further my knowledge. I provide a wide range of preventive therapy and customize oral health care programs for each patients needs. I truly appreciate when a patient is able to recognize the exceptional dedication, commitment, and quality care our office has provided to them. I admire that everyone here shares their knowledge and positivity with our patients and each other. I love dentistry and cant imagine doing anything else!
I started working in the dental field in 2012 and I love it! My favorite part of being a Dental Hygienist is helping patients gain confidence in their smile!! I started at Blue Spruce Dental in 2021 and love working with Dr . Timm because he strives to have good friendly relationships with all of his patients. He treats and diagnoses as needed, but the conversation in between can make patients forget they are in the dental chair as they are having fun too.
I was born in Grand Rapids and was raised in Albion, Michigan. I attended Kellogg Community College and graduated Registered Dental Hygienist in May 2012 with Summa Cum Laude Honors. Hygiene is my passion! I enjoy helping and educating others with their dental care. I have two beautiful daughters Serenity and Meilani, and they keep me busy as they enjoy sports and spending quality time with me.
My dental background started in 1993 when I met Dr. Timm on a blind date! I had no idea I was entering the dental world! I always joke that I am the non-clinical expert of the office. I do not work directly with patients but rather work the magic behind the scene. You could say I am the number cruncher, managing the account payable, accounting, and budget of our practice. The fun part of my job is the marketing, social media, and the official decorator!
Dr. Timm and I are officially empty nesters! Both of our kids attend Central Michigan University and we spend many football weekends camping in Mt. Pleasant to see them march in the CMU Marching Band. To fill our empty nest we added two beagle puppies to our familyRuby and Opalwho bring us much joy (and lots of digging in the yard). I continue to serve on the Napoleon School Board and enjoy keeping involved in our community. I love camping, hiking, biking, chasing sunsets, photography, gardening and landscape, and spending time with our family as time allows.
We offer our patients the level of care we would offer to our own family the very best! Blue Spruce Dental is committed to giving of our time and talents to enhance the lives of our patients, and fill our community with happy, healthy smiles.
Our Michigan Center dental office is an exceptionally comfortable, calm place where you can feel safe and confident in the care you receive. Known as the Office with the Waterfall, patients enjoy the relaxing view of our large water feature, streams, and a large pond with koi and other fish. Our current facility was adapted from a house built in 1930, and we kept the original fireplace and decor in our main lobby. Its especially cozy in the cold, winter months!
Our team members are friendly and approachable: we love building long-term relationships with our patients, and are honored to be caring for multiple generations. There is nothing we like more than helping our friends and neighbors develop healthy mouths and beautiful smiles.
