I cant imagine a better profession than orthodontics. I am excited, every day, to go to the office to meet with patients. Not only do I get to be involved with the life-changing impacts of a great smile, but I get to interact with the best people on the planet.

The smiles I craft are healthy and beautiful; they stay with patients throughout their lives, and give them stronger self-esteem and confidence in everything they do. It is incredible to have that kind of positive impact!

I attended Creighton University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in psychology. Next came dental school at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Remaining at the university, I completed my orthodontic training and Master of Science.

Orthodontics is an always-advancing specialty. It is critical for me to stay current on the latest changes, because that enables me to provide the ideal treatment and utilize proven technologies and methodologies.

By performing many hours of research, I am able to identify the best options for individual patients. This ensures each person receives the highest-quality, research-based treatment for predictable, wonderful results: their very best smile!

I love playing with the kids and, prior to COVID, enjoyed coaching their teams and helping out with many local school and community programs. I also enjoy sports, movies,video games, and love to traveltoo.

I love coming to the office and working alongside my talented staff. I especially enjoy getting to know my patients and love it when I see them in the community and realize that I played a part in giving them their brilliant smile.

Dr. Cassaidy received her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa. She completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Minnesota, where she received her Master of Science and orthodontic certificate.

She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Iowa Society of Orthodontists, and American Dental Association. She has been involved with numerous local clubs and societies and loves to spend time serving her community.

Dr. Cassaidy enjoys watching college sports and reading or listening to audiobooks. She also likes staying active by bicycling, kayaking, fitness classes, cross-country skiing, and traveling to the mountains to hike or downhill ski.

Dr. Poss and I met at Creighton University, got married in the Vatican, and then he studied for dental exams while I cut lamination and prepped art projects for my kindergarten classes. Eventually we moved to Ames and have loved this community and Blue Sky Orthodontics ever since! Our kids, Jack and Thea, keep us quite busy with board games, Ms. Pac-Man tournaments, and piano duets. I always have at least three books Im reading, enjoy walks with friends and watching TV and pretty much anything involving chocolate!

Hello! Im Beth and I will have the pleasure of helping you get started on your orthodontic experience. I will walk you through the treatment plan, review financials, including insurance, and answer all your questions. When you are ready to start, Ill assist with scheduling, too. I really enjoy meeting new patients and their families and helping everyone feel at home at Blue Sky Orthodontics!

When I go home in the evening its to be with my husband of almost 40 years, Steve. We were high-school sweethearts and now have two adult children who are both married to wonderful people. We also have two amazing grandchildren and I adore them both! Being with my family is my favorite thing to do. We love going to the lake, boating, relaxing on the beach, tailgating, and just hanging out. I also love ice cream as well as doing crafts and playing board games.

Hello and welcome! My name is Breanna and well meet in our clinic. I offer chairside assistance: helping the doctors with procedures while making sure you are comfortable. I also handle sterilization and work in our lab. Its a good feeling to be part of a team that is professional while also low-key, as we help people develop great smiles!

Most of my time is spoken for, since Im studying kinesiology at Iowa State in addition to working at Blue Sky Orthodontics. When I do have free hours, though, I love playing volleyball and hanging out with friends.

Welcome to Blue Sky Orthodontics! My name is Shawnia and I spend my days in the clinic. In addition to working directly with the doctors and patients, I change elastics and wires, and assist with placing and removing appliances and brackets. It is fun to be hands-on with the treatment process, because it allows me to build lasting, positive relationships with people. Outside the office, I love spending time with my son, our dog, and my family. Being outdoors is always enjoyable, as is reading, watching movies, playing games, creating art of all kinds, and all things 80s and 90s genre. I like to have fun and share laughter with people.

My husband Scott and I have been married for many years. We have two adult children, Max and Sam, and a Teddy Bear dog named Charlie. We all enjoy spending time with our close friends and family, and like boating, golfing, and tailgating. Cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones in football is a family passion!

I began my career in dentistry in 1984, spending eight years as an assistant in general dentistry before shifting focus to orthodontics. Its been super rewarding to work with the Blue Sky Orthodontics team for the past six years. Were all dedicated to improving our patients smiles, and we all love seeing their self-esteem soar as treatment progresses.

I have been married to my husband Brian for more than 35 years. We have two grown children, Ally and Joe, as well as two furry kids still at home named Maizy and Myra. In our free time, we enjoy riding our motorcycle and traveling. We especially enjoyed our trip to Ireland and Scotland and hope to travel back there again!

I started working in orthodontics in 1998 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I worked at that office for nine years before my family moved to the Ames area in 2007, and have been working at Blue Sky ever since! I really enjoy getting to know and welcoming our patients and families when Im at the front desk. Its so rewarding to see our patients progress and results throughout treatment and how excited they are through it all!

Ive been married to my high school sweetheart for 30 years. We have three amazing kids and an awesome daughter-in-law. Dont let us forget our miniature golden doodle, Daizee Mae, who truly runs the house! I enjoy many outdoor activities such as gardening, boating, going on walks, anything sports related, and so much more!
