Dr. Kim graduated from Hermon Ostrow School of Dentistry at University of Southern California after learning his passion to help the community that needed help when he was volunteering at Mission of Mercy. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Dongguk University, and Bachelor of Science in Biology at Iowa State University. He has served in the U.S. Army in 2001 through 2003 as a Sergeant in a Military Police Battalion.
Dr. Punyawat is graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland Ohio, where he earned a Doctor of Medical in Dentistry (DMD) degree. After graduating, he completed a residency, Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Dayton Veteran Affairs Medical Center. His residency brought with it much experience in treating a high volume of difficult cases and helped him undertand medically compromised patients. Dr. Punyawat loves all aspects of dentistry, including restoration, crowns & bridges, implants, endodontics, and removable prosthesis either partial or complete denture. Hes also a certified provider of Invisalign clear aligners.
Dr. Punyawat always treats his patients like his family members, and those patients love him for his competence as well as compassion. During his free time, he enjoys cooking, baking, listening to music, watching movies, and lifting weight. His wife is a pastry chef and always bakes good cakes for family and friends.
Dr. Chun was born and raised in Maryland. After graduating with a degree in neurobiology and physiology (and a minor in human development) from the University of Maryland, College Park, she went on to pursue her masters from Tufts University. Dr. Chun obtained her Masters in Biomedical Sciences and continued into dental school, graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While there, she was actively involved in various student organizations and served on the executive board for the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), which resulted in her attending many leadership conferences. She is passionate about learning both inside and outside of the classroom. After dental school, Dr. Chun completed a General Practice Residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center. Her residency training focused on treating medically complex patient populations, pediatrics and geriatrics. She is new to the Blue Ridge Mountains but is loving it more with each passing day.
Dr. Chun has experience in general dentistry, including crowns, bridges, root canal treatments, extractions, implant restorations, dentures, and pediatric treatment. She enjoys treating children and patients from many different backgrounds. She strives to get to know her patients and create a positive experience for them at their dental visits.

Delighted to meet the new Valley View dentist, Dr. Nader Burbee. Excellent bedside manner; very patient. The best hygienist in North America is Julia Nash --hands down. She is thorough, patient, brilliant... My family and I are blessed to have such an amazing group of professionals who care. #grateful Excellent, as always, even in emergencies. Unfortunately, after more than 10 years with this dental group, we have changed both our rating and our dentist due to the front office customer care and payment demands from the front office (during the Spring and Summer of 2022). Historically, Regina and the front office at the Valley View office were professional, caring, pleasant and genuinely concerned for the patients. I understand it is a challenge finding professionals during the pandemic. However, Jacob or Joshua or Jason ("J") and the other female, temporary office employee with braces and glasses ("L") gave us prices without itemized statements. Further, they were both abrupt and unpleasant. For one appointment L called and gave me one price, then called back and said, "I don't want you to have a heart attack but you have to pay, $1,100". When my husband called her, she told him, "I hope you don't have a heart attack". Praise God, our hearts are in excellent shape--and we have no problem paying what we owe. This type of unprofessional banter and unconscious (or conscious) bias makes it uncomfortable and causes us not to want to do business with this firm. Although we NEVER got an itemized statement, we paid that amount. My husband, Victor Banks, requested an itemized bill four times; we still have not received one. On the next visit, J said I had to pay $200 for the crown; I paid the $200. Dr. Burpee determined I did not need a crown; and we were never reimbursed. Instead, the office sent another bill for $85. Julia Nash is such an excellent hygienist, I was planning to see her even after all of the challenges with J and L; however, I could not get a response about payment. Consequently, I had to leave the best hygienist I have had in 57 years. I am sure Dr. Harvey is a good man and a good dentist; and although the Valley View office has since closed, it is my hope that he does not lose anymore business because of an unprofessional front office. This was my first visit to the Valley View office and I just can't say enough about everyone there, so very VERY nice and friendly! Extremely helpful, they discuss everything with you so you understand and they make you feel welcome. I am so glad to have found them.

I just moved to the Roanoke area and had it find a new dentist office. Julia is amazing! Not only do my teeth feel squeaky clean, but they are now less sensitive since she put a desensitizing treatment on them. I highly recommend her! She is so engaging and friendly. A great experience all around!

The quality of care, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff at Blue Ridge Dental Group is amazing and not like anything that I have experienced in my dental journey thus far. I have had a fear of dentists since childhood and am in a much better place in the past five years because of this practice. A shout out to Julia who is my go to for preventative maintenance twice a year.....she is tremendous. I also want to give a shout out to Nicole and Dr. Burpee for making the recent experience of getting a crown so much easier than I ever imagined. Thank you Blue Ridge Dental Group for helping to improve my overall dental experience.

The staff here is amazing! Very friendly and knowledgeable, they were able to explain everything in detail so there were no surprises. If you suffer from "dental anxiety" then you should feel comfortable coming here. They truly put you at ease and make all procedures a breeze from a cleaning to a filling and everything in between. I highly recommend!

I have been going to BRDG Valley View since the beginning of 2021. I have been so impressed with everyone's professional and friendly conduct. My calls are answered and/or returned promptly. The receptionists, hygienists, and Dr. Jung are always thorough and attentive to my needs. I will be coming here as long as I am in the Roanoke area!

Great customer service, they are nice and treat people well. I usually do not like the dentist offices and they usually feel very impersonal and cold from the treatment of the staff. It was a great surprise to have the team treat me with warmth and politeness.

Great Staff! Amazing service and friendly people who really do care about people. The service isn't why I rated 4 stars - - - - I rated 4 and not 5 because not only did I wait for about a month just to get a consultation, but when I went in they only were concerned about 1 tooth instead of my entire mouth... I am sure I have cavities ( not ashamed to say) but the dentist offered no other service or options regarding the care of my teeth... And to top if off I have to wait an entire month just for that to be resolved... Not happy about two months for an issue to be looked at...The staff were wonderful the dentist did not seem to be a people person ..
