Justin is a native of Minnetonka and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2001. He captained the Golden Gopher hockey team in 1995 and played professionally for two years. Justin and his wife, Andrea, reside in Deephaven with their daughters, Kate and Megan. His interests include spending time with his family, fitness, playing golf and, of course, hockey.
Kyle graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2008 after receiving his bachelors degree from Saint Johns University. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and the outdoors. Originally from Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Kyle and his wife Pam are first time parents to their daughter, Brynn, born in 2014.
Janis graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1987 and completed a General Practice Residency in 1988. She has been with Blue Ridge Dental since then. She lives in Minnetonka with her husband and has six young adult children and one precious grandson. Janis was a member of the 1992 Olympic team,competing in the womens marathon. She continues to run for fitness and has interests which include Bible Study, skiing, yoga, and spending time with her children and grandson.
A native of the Hopkins/Minnetonka area, Brian graduated from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California in 2016, after receiving his bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota. He was a member of the University of Minnesota marching band throughout his undergraduate career. Outside of dentistry, Brians interests include family, playing music, fitness, and cooking.

In the past, when a patient lost a tooth due to infection or disease, bridges and dentures were typically recommended. Nowadays, we have learned that the survival rate of a bridge or denture is dramatically lower than that of a dental implant(s).
When patients hear of the success rate of these dental implants vs. a bridge or denture, they are much more willing to invest the time and money to get a more predictable result that lasts years and years.
The world of dentistry has embraced this shift in treatment and the technology out there to support this shift is fascinating. Cone beam technology (3D images) is replacing the traditional (2D) dental x-rays when it comes to implant dentistry and endodontics (root canal therapy).
We can actually map out your nerves so we know exactly (within millimeters) where to place a dental implant. This 3D imaging can also be used during root canal therapy to help the dentist see the tooth better, which helps with instrumentation, and finds any extra nerves a tooth may have.
The use of 3D printers is also used as an adjunct to help in the placement of those dental implants. 3D printers are used to make implant surgical guides, crowns, and even clear aligner braces (Invisalign).
Kylie grew up in Minnetonka and loves being back in her hometown practicing. After receiving her bachelors degree from St. Lawrence University, she completed her dental education atTufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Outside of the office, she enjoys all things outdoors, traveling to new places, and spending time with herfamily.

Blue Ridge Dental is by far the best dentist we've found. From fillings to crowns, implants and posts they do wonderful work and really care about their patients. I recommend them to everyone because of the treatment, personally and medically, they've given to myself and my husband. Absolutely wonderful place to go!

Dr. Shragg was fantastic! I neglected to take care of a bad tooth for years, to the point a piece broke off. Dr Shragg was able to save my tooth and clean it out down to the nerves without an ounce of pain. Simply Amazing!

My recent visit like all my previous visits was great. The staff is fantastic and very professional and super friendly but on top of all that the Dentists are great. Its really a good feeling when your dentist sees you and recognizes you on site and calls your name out and after all of that the fantastic job they do on my teeth is something to see to be believed. Its worth the long drive to get there!

Dr. Wilkes is the best. Everyone at Blue Ridge Maple Grove and Minnetonka is very helpful and friendly. I moved 20 miles away and will still drive to either location for the service they provide.

So I haven't seen a dentist in probably 10 years! I was SO nervous about going in... Once I walked in the door I was greeted with a happy, friendly face which def took the nerves off. Jolene was my assistant today and she was just a joy and very easy to talk to! My experience was fantastic and I was making a big deal for no reason. Dr. Shragg saw me today also and he was cool, calm, and collected. I enjoyed my visit today. If you are thinking about making a visit, don't even think twice and book the appointment! Now I have clean and sparkly teeth
