Founded in 1985 in the Colleen area of Nelson County, Virginia, Blue Ridge Medical Center offers primary care, pediatrics, dentistry, x-ray, lab, physical therapy, and behavioral health. BRMC is a 501(c)3 non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center and Level III Patient-Centered Medical Home. The center is accredited by the Joint Commission.
Blue Ridge Medical Center first opened the doors of a small modular building in July 1985 with one doctor and three exam rooms. In an effort to meet the growing needs of area residents, Blue Ridge Medical Center has expanded through five building additions and ongoing service expansions to provide new services and a larger facility. Over ninety staff members provide 10,000 patients annually with top-of-the-line primary and preventive care, as well as behavioral health, dentistry, and physical therapy. Excellent care that exceeds expectations is our daily objective and is paramount to successfully addressing our mission to provide patient-centered quality health care to all people in Nelson County and neighboring communities; and to improve their general health and well-being through prevention, education, and treatment.
In December 2011, we moved into our new state-of-the-art medical facility made possible by a large Federal grant and other community investments. Our new building has lobby space and exam rooms designed especially for children. We have, for the first time, a retail space in our pharmacy that provides over-the-counter medications and supplies for our patients. Telemedicine will also be available to allow access to specialty care onsite.
The move to our new facility also allowed us to make a long-time dream a realitythe addition of dental care to the Blue Ridge Medical Center campus. The original building that was our home over the past 25 years and is next door to our current facility has been rebuilt to accommodate a six-operatory dental facility. Dentistry is the newest addition to our scope of service. Full-time dentists and full-time hygienist work with support staff to provide quality oral health care to everyone, regardless of ability to pay, accepting a wide variety of dental insurances and providing a sliding fee scale for those in need.

Yvonne was pleasant and extremely helpful. Dr. Mills Robertson and Brianna were fast and efficient, while being patient as well. They made a cumbersome experience bearable. I would like to thank Dr. Mills-Robertson and the staff I dealt with. I would recommend them to anybody. They went well out of their way to be helpful and accommodating.

In good care here at Blue Ridge Dental for your dental needs. Professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate in their care of you, as well as, working well together as a team. In much appreciation in their care of my dental needs. Front office is proficient and timely in working with scheduling, appointments , with billing and payments too.

~~**BUYER BEWARE**~~ Front office gave us a price for dentistry (deep cleaning $235), told us the cleaning and x-rays would be paid for by insurance and not to fill out for the sliding scale fee. $775 later (updated to more than $900)... Not happy with my bill, but they are working with me on payments. Dr Mills Robertson is good, that's why I gave 2 stars.
