Dr. Hejlawy has practiced general dentistry since 1998. He began his dental career in Syria and moved to the U.S in 2005 to further his education and expertise. He graduated with a Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Colorado Denver where he continued to practice general dentistry for two years. During this time, Dr. Hejlawy remained connected to the dental school and volunteered as a clinical instructor, supervising and helping future dentists improve their skills and dental knowledge.
After practicing in Colorado for two years, Dr. Hejlawy joined the advanced endodontic program at The University of the Pacific in San Francisco where he gained his Masters in dental science and Endodontic specialty degrees. He has now an accomplished Diplomat of the American Board of Endodonticsa status of which only 23% of all endodontists accomplishand also teaches part time at UOP dental school in San Francisco.
I have had the most rewarding experience of being cared for by Dr. Samer Hejlawy. Dr. Hejlawy was very, very conscientious to save my tooth, the one that actually needed the root therapy. My tooth had several serious issues, and Dr. Hejlawy went above and beyond to get me completely healed. Thank you for your efforts!
Dr. Samer is so friendly with good vibes and really knows what he is doing I appreciate his amazing work. I loved the the nice and kind behavior and how they explained everything to you. Its been one year now and the result is great. It always feels so lucky to find a great dentist and great human at the same time.

Moved to Fairfield from South California, born and raised in Ohio. Keneisha has been a dental assistant for more than six years, joined our team in 2020 during the Covid shut down and supported us to be there for our patients in need. She enjoys interacting with patients, easing their anxiety, keeping them comfortable & happy is a rewarding feeling. Keneisha loves to shop, read, go on hikes, and spend time with her little puppy Byno.
Michelle joined our team immediately after finishing Dental Assisting school in 2021. Her passion for dentistry and patients care is driving her to excel in everything she does. We count on Michelle in translating to our Spanish speaking patients. Michelle enjoys hanging out with her big network with friends and taking long road trips.
We love to play, but we will eat your treat while youre not looking. Quincy might have been a dog in a previous life, she loves to play fetch and she is very loving and caring. Theodora is on permanent diet but burritos dont count.

I really wish I could give more stars to this place. I very much appreciate the patience and care I was shown during my appointment. I went in for a root canal on a molar. They were able to get me scheduled in very quickly. When my date came, I was taken in and everything went very smoothly. The team was excellent and very efficient. Shout out to Michelle! Thank you again for all of your patience and support.

I was referred to Blue Oaks Endodontist yesterday by my dentist for a root canal on a molar. I am extremely fearful of dentists, hence the reason I needed a root canal. I met with the secretary after leaving my dentist who was extremely knowledgeable about the procedure and she was great at answering all my questions and easing my anxiety. She squeezed me in the following day (wow)! If it weren't for her and the conversation we had, I would have scheduled an appointment for a later day and gotten too scared to go back. I arrived today for my appointment and was greeted by the same sweet girl. I was immediately taken back to an X-ray and then a room already fully prepped for my procedure. The Dr. Went over my medical history thoroughly with me and also eased my anxiety. Both him and the assistant working with him had an incredible amount of patience with me and my anxiety and made me as comfortable as possible. The assistant helped my fears by explaining everything they were doing (as I requested) and even told me what I might hear or feel. I wish I could remember the names of the secretary and assistant because they both helped me and my experience and made it more than a root canal. I know my dentist is literally the best and he would only refer me to the same, so I had full faith in the office and the doctor and his ability and he came through. Thank you so much Dr. Samer and staff for helping make a terrifying experience a good one. You are appreciated :)

This was one of the best dentist I have ever been to, they take their time to make sure you are comfortable. They ease your pain, take away your fears and everything gets done in a timely manner. The Doctor builds up a good rapport with his patients and I loved the fact that he took interest in me taking care of my brother who has cancer. I really appreciated that! I would recommend this dentist to anyone.

I would give less than a star if I could. This place was absolutely horrible. The dentist hurt my tooth in the chair then told me he would not help me for hours because I took Valium which was prescribed by the dentist who referred me to them. They could have told me before they started poking at my tooth that they would not be helping me. Could have told me the day before that no medications were permitted before the visit. Instead they blamed me and told me it was because I turned in my paperwork after hours so they didn't know.... Really? If you didn't know, why did you ask me if I took it? You called me in the morning before my appointment. Could have told me then. I was told to take it an hour before my visit. I am extremely fearful of the dentist and Blue Oak is the kind of traumatizing place that is the reason I am fearful. Places that hurt you then scold you. Then they tried to tell me they would do me a favor by having me sit in the chair for hours and wait until they felt like the Valium wore off. No thanks I would rather suffer than get jerked around. The whole thing felt like a prank. How are you going to do that to someone who is terrified as it is. Took me a lot to get my courage up to come at all. To anyone who is scared and wants a professional experience, go elsewhere.

Going for a root canal is never fun. Believe me, I dread it. But, Dr Samer and his staff made it sort of fun? His skill and chairside manner helped calm me, and heal me. Highly recommend this endodontist.

Just had a root canal done by Dr Samer Hejlawy, he is an impressive Endodontist. His knowledge and expertise is superior explaining every step and his kindness and attentiveness to my difficult situation was first class. He even answered my email when I was in excruciating pain within 5 minutes with a personal phone call. I Highly recommend! Great Doctor!!

My daughter fears going to the dentist she always runs out of the office once she sees the set up till the day she was in pain she needed a root canal she was very nervous and scared but Dr. Samer Hejlawy made sure she was ok. She says she will only go back to him if need be again. The staff was very friendly

If you are a patient who fears all of dentistry then this review is for you. After a nightmare scenario of needing a crown on a cracked, angry tooth, I started to have bad spontaneous pain. My excellent dentist Dr. Claudine Yu (a very caring professional) referred me urgently to see Dr. Samer at Blue Oak Endodontics. She reassured me he was someone who would only do necessary work and had the reputation of being very caring as well. Dr. Samer saw me the very next day and confirmed I needed a root canal. As I sat crying about it, he checked his schedule and was able to do the procedure immediately (he does a lot of work on an emergency basis apparently!) so I didn't have to dread it and take non-stop Tylenol for weeks awaiting intervention. I can't imagine saying good things about a root canal because seriously it's a ROOT CANAL, but working with Dr. Samer was a pleasure. He is very gentle and patient and validated my feelings, which goes a long way when you're embarrassed and terrified. The work was thoroughly explained also - why I needed it and what would be done using my own X-rays to explain. Also, the staff were professional and kind, insurance was reviewed and explained before work began. The environment was calming and peaceful. I genuinely hope I don't have to go back, but if I need another root canal I won't go to any other place.

I had 2 root canals done by Dr. Samer Hejlawy over at the Turlock Smiles Dentistry, and I must say I have never had a root canal go so smoothly! He went through everything beforehand on what he was going to be doing and he even took Xrays afterwards to show me what the result of the root canal looked like and what was what. Dr. Hejlawy was very nice and very attentive. He made sure that I wasn't having any pain. And afterwards he even walked me out to the front office which was very nice of him! Usually after dentists (although he is a ENDODONTIST) are finished with the dental work you never see them again! But Dr. Hejlawy was a true gentleman and made my 2 root canal experience a breeze! I definitely recommend him if you need a root canal or any other services that he provides. He's a true gem! If only they could all be like him. A++

I was referred to Dr. Samer Hejlawy at Blue Oaks from Dr.Mel at Solano dental group for a root canal, I have been having a severe toothache that would not let me sleep, and was sensitive to hot and cold, I called and made an appt with his office staff, which was a couple days later, when Dr. Hejlawy found out from his staff that I was in so much pain he called me that day and had me come down and do an exam after hours so he could prescribe me some pain medicine to help with the pain so I could get some sleep, and he also came in the next day on his day off and did my root canal. I'm am very pleased with the work he did and him and his staff, they are all very nice, they communicate very well with each other, and I would highly recommend anybody needing a root canal to go his way!!!!!!
