Dr. Philip Bayne completed his undergraduate work at Illinois State University in Bloomington, Illinois. He received his DDS degree from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. He began practicing in Moline, IL in 1992. In 1993, he established his own office in Blue Grass, Iowa where he currently practices. When not at his practice, Dr. Bayne enjoys traveling with his wife and two children. Other hobbies include snowmobiling, fishing and hunting.
Dr. Andrew Mulka has been living in Blue Grass ever since graduating from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2011. He grew up south of Chicago and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2007 withhis Baccalaureatein Pre-Professional Studies. While attending Iowa, he met his wife, Rene (Teel). They have two daughters, Katie (3.5)and Allie (1). Dr. Mulka has received extensive training in implants, orthodontics, wisdom tooth removal, and conscious sedation. His other hobbies include golfing, running, boating, and gardening.

I cannot express how thankful I am to Laurie, Denise and Dr. Mulka. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist and they made me comfortable, talked me through every step of the tooth extraction, even gave me kleenex when I needed it. If you have anxiety about the dentist chair, put your fears aside and call Blue Grass Family Dentistry.....you won't be sorry and tell them Stephanie sent ya!

love the staff! The staff is so friendly and helpful no matter what you need they find the answer! My Dentist is so personable and carding as is his assistant. My hygienist does a very thorough job and is so sensitive to your comfort and needs. Would definitely recommend them to my friends and family!

I really enjoyed my first experience at Blue Grass Family Dentistry. My hygienist was very friendly, thorough and provided recommendations on things I can do to help keep my teeth looking great between scheduled cleanings. Dr. Bayne was also very nice and took some time to answer my questions. Also, they have a dog in the office, which makes the dreaded chore of going to the dentist so much more enjoyable!

Dr. Bayne is the greatest and so is his staff. They are all very professional and caring. I've been a patient for over 20 years and I wouldn't think of going elsewhere. If you need dental work, this is the place to go!!

From the time I walked in the door, it was a great experience. Staff professional and friendly, and the facility extremely clean and comfortable. They genuinely cared that I was there. It had been a really long time since I had gone to the dentist... and I had been putting it off because I didn't want to feel "judged". All I got was encouragement to "not go so long the next time" I highly recommend this wonderful small town, locally owned business.
