Dr. Abby Blowe, a true Tarheel, received both her undergraduate dual degrees in Psychology & Spanish, and her doctorate dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During college, she spent time studying abroad in Seville, Spain, and is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Blowe is a native of Gaston County and grew up in Bessemer City. She spends her time outside of the office at her home in Belmont, NC. She shares her love for dentistry with her husband, Jonathan. She is an active member in her church and dedicates her spare time to giving back to the community through a variety of volunteer projects. Outside of dentistry, she also enjoys reading, traveling and spending time on Lake Wylie.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, North Carolina Dental Society and has served as a volunteer at many of the NC Missions of Mercy clinics. She has a wide variety of experience working with small children, adults and elderly to provide the most comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.
Dr. Jonathan Blowe received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Blowe grew up in Clayton, North Carolina. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Abby, and their two children Jennings and Juliette. The Blowe family resides in Belmont and are so excited about opening their second office in the town they love. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Blowe enjoys spending time on Lake Wylie and traveling.
Dr. Blowe is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Association, Gaston County Dental Society, and volunteers at the North Carolina Missions of Mercy dental clinics. Dr. Blowe enjoys working with patients of all ages and looks forward to providing excellent dental care in Belmont.
The environment that the office has. I feel so comfortable and excited to come to work. Everyone is so friendly and helps create a laid back atmosphere, which is so important in a place that some patients are nervous to be at.
The people! I love the girls that I work with and really enjoy our patients. It makes a huge difference coming into work every day if you enjoy being around the people there. We have fun and laugh a lot. Its nice to enjoy my home away from home.
Married for over 20 years, Indira and her husband have a son and daughter. Her bucket list includes a trip to New Zealand, seeing all 50 states, and sleeping for two days! Her favorite superhero is Thor because she is a big Chris Helmsworth fan.
Caitlyn has worked with Blowe Family Dentistry for 1 and a half years now. She is excited to bring what she learned from our Mount Holly location to Belmont. Caitlyn received her education from Catawba Valley.
Elizabeth has worked at the Belmont location since December 2016 but has worked with Dr. Jonathan Blowe since 2011 at previous practices as his Dental Assistant II. Her favorite part of working at Blowe Family Dentistry are her patients, coworkers, and Drs. Jonathan and Abby Blowe because they are awesome dentists.

Had a root canal and crown done, crown lasted roughly 2 years then came out with no warning. Dr Blowe put it back in, but it came out once again two days later. Came back and he went ahead and made a brand new crown and put that it. Was slightly wiggly but I tried to ignore it thinking I was just freaking out bc of the past. Nope, came out once again. Feels like there is nothing for a crown to even adhere to, so no clue why he kept trying. As well. When I went to get the crown simply put back on they charged me a $133 office visit. Even though my insurance was the same as previous visits and I did not have my card on me. Not a huge deal she said once my insurance was processed a refund check would be issued. Nearly 2 months later I called to see the status and she lets me know I have a credit on my account....I was told I would get a check. Thankfully she said she can send a check for the credit, but I'm curious as to why it was a credit to begin with. Had I not remembered the credit would just sit there bc I have no plans of returning. Follow up. They waited over a month, and me calling again, to finally send me my check. Also I am now in the process of fixing all their shotty work. A root canal they performed has to be redone and there is a possibility they left something in there. Will be contacting the dental board.

Entire staff was wonderful; however, they have all new staff that doesn't know how to file insurance, answer questions or return calls promptly. My daughter had a cavity filled, and the pain and sensitivity was brushed off as nothing to worry about on three different occasions. She now requires a root canal.

I went in today for a root canal because my tooth was bad shape and causing me immense pain. Dr. Blowe was great and constantly asked of my comfort level during the procedure. He ensured I wasn't experiencing any pain while he performed the procedure. From the phone call to the visit, the professionalism and caring of the staff were second-to-none. I do not like dentists and have never liked dentists, but Dr. Blowe made me comfortable during my visit. I recommend him highly because I usually give dentists one shot and then I hide again for years, but I've already made my follow up appointment. Thank you, Amanda, Amber, and Dr. Blowe for making my visit as painless and stress-free as possible.

I visited Blowe Family dentistry, for a second opinion from another dentist that recommended to remove my tooth, and charge me nearly $8k (no dental insurance), as I had a mad cavity that needed to have work done. They worked me in within a short time, and gave me their opinion of the necessary work that needed to be done and why he would recommended having this work done compared to just pulling the tooth, all of which was going to cost 90% less than the other company. Dr. Blowe and his team did a great job! The staff from the start were super nice, and very helpful even with my giant dislike for having my teeth worked on. They are super down to earth, and even with COVID going on, they are well set up, and prepared for patients. Would definitely recommend Blowe Family Dentistry for any dental work!!
