Bloomington Pediatric Dentistry was founded in 2001 by Dr. Kyle Taylor specializing in the comprehensive dental care of infants, children, adolescents and patients with special healthcare needs. When Dr. Taylor created Bloomington Pediatric Dentistry, he had a vision that would change how children in Southern Indiana received dental care. Bloomington Pediatric Dentistry was to be a state of the art, progressive practice using the most advanced treatment methods in a child centered environment. This approach was to include cutting edge digital radiography equipment so as to minimize each childs exposure during radiographs. With his vision and expertise, Bloomington Pediatric Dentistry has successfully made that vision into a reality and added a few perks along the way.
Dr. Whitley received her doctorate of dental medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and completed her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Kentucky. She has been practicing pediatric dentistry since 2005 in both Kentucky and Missouri before moving to Indiana to join the team at Bloomington Pediatric Dentistry. She has been board certified since 2006. Dr. Whitley has served part-time as a clinical professor in pediatric dentistry a the Southern Illinois University of Dental Medicine and as theAssistant Director of Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program of Saint Louis University.She loves educating children on developing healthy oral habits that will serve them for a lifetime. She also values building trusted relationships with her patients so children will have a positive dental experience. Dr. Whitley and her husband Eric have four children and she enjoys playing golf, going to their kids many extracurricular activities, and spending time with family.

The office is beautifully decorated and provides a great environment for kids to feel comfortable. Dr. Shone was fantastic with my kiddo and kept me well-informed as well. I left feeling better prepared to help my child with dental hygiene.

I send all my kids here they are fantastic!! They make sure my kids are comfortable and that is always a plus especially when we're talking about going to the dentist.

I love taking my kids here. All staff are friendly and knowledgeable. My kids feel safe and comfortable when coming here. The staff always makes them feel invited like they belong. I feel completely confident bringing my kids here. They get their teeth cleaned well and if additional services is needed or the doctor foresees a potential issue in the future with their teeth, they always inform me ahead of time. The staff listens to what I have to say and responds in a professional manner of what their recommendations are which is greatly appreciated. Thank you for always having great service and making my children feel safe! I've been bringing my kids here for years.

1st of all, the decor is great for kids. There are things hidden throughout the wall-to-wall mural. Disney Jr plays on a TV. The staff is very friendly, and always asks if I understand everything or have any questions. The dentist takes time to talk with me and answer questions. I don't feel rushed or brushed off. It's a great experience.

Each time we visit, which is twice a year, all the staff are pleasant and treats my child with care. She is extremely comfortable with going back alone and always uplifts/encourages her. Our last trip we requested her 3 very loose teeth to be pulled. Although I explained to my daughter several times we would most likely pull her teeth that day, she was very nervous about the idea. But when it was time to go back, she hopped right up and went back with the staff without any issues. Could be a combination of bravery and good parenting skills, but definitely kudos to the staff! She wouldn't be as brave if we had experienced anything less than excellent. Thank you!
