Dr. Steimel started his path toward becoming a dentist by graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. He later became certified to work as a Medical Technologist at Ascension St. John Hospital. Later, our dentist received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University Of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry before returning to Bloomfield Hills to set up his dental practice.
Our dentist believes in putting the needs of patients firstone of the tenants of the American Dental Association. His goal has always been to provide quality dental care to improve the overall health of his patients.
After completing undergraduate studies at DePauw University, Dr. LoPrete earned his D.D.S. degree from Indiana University and then completed a post-doctoral residency at nearby St. Joseph Mercy Hospital where he continues to train young dentists. Dr. LoPrete personally oversees every aspect of his practice to ensure compassionate, professional dental care in a relaxed environment. He currently belongs to the Academy of General Dentistry and the Spear Study Club.
Continuing education is an important aspect of Dr. LoPretes career. To remain on the leading edge of dentistry, Dr. LoPrete has a long history of membership in many dental organizations and he is a regular participant at professional conferences both as an attendee and as an instructor. He is a graduate of the Facult for Orthodontic Research and the Misch International Implant Institute. He has been certified to treat patients with Invisalign. He also participates with two dental study clubs.
Dr. LoPrete was an early proponent of the cosmetic dentistry revolution. While the foundation of quality dental care must be based on health and function first, the opportunity to enhance a patients smile with cosmetic procedures provides remarkable outcomes. He began providing porcelain veneers, bonding and teeth whitening in the late 1980s just as these procedures were being proven clinically sound. Today, Dr. LoPrete enjoys seeing many of his earliest cosmetic patients still smiling.

I typically resent going to the dentist and todays visit was no different. This was my first trip to Bloomfield Hills Dental Group and they sure changed my outlook on going to the dentist! I hadn't been to a dentist in two years and I could not have asked for a more enjoyable and professional experience than what I had today. Every staff member I spoke with was a pleasure and I will actually listen to their advice and come to the dentist every 6 months .

I had a little emergency after few teeth broke while I was on vacation. I am truly thankful to Dr. Samona fixed my teeth on the same day when I landed in Detroit. I feel so much better. The office is Outstanding! I highly recommend you to come to this office!

I've been coming here for over 5 years and have had zero complaints! Teeth cleaning is OP no pain, no hassle fees and wonderful receptionists! They just got new chairs that feel great! I felt like I was at a spa!

The service is always very good and always on time. Isadora who works with Dr James speaks Portuguese and she is always willing to help. after all of my cleanings, the doctor always checks how my teeth are and talks a little bit with me and the cleaning team is always excellent, they always give tips on how we can improve dental health.

I am not exaggerating when I say Dr. Samona has changed my life -- I have had so many outstanding dental procedures I put off for years due to fear of the dentist. However, within the last month I've been in the office 5 times, knocking each procedure off my list! Dr. Samona and the entire staff at the practice are more than accommodating. Had my teeth cleaned and returned for a filling after not seeing a dentist for years. My first visit was with Dr. Steimel for a cleaning, I was then transferred to using Dr. Loprete. Both were great to work with. Dr. Loprete was very friendly, great conversation. I didnt feel a thing during my filling done by Loprete. Overall a great experience, friendly receptionist staff and exceptionally clean facility.

If you want to be treated like a number this is your place! Culture and customer service here is completely lacking! They don't tell you Dr. Steimel has departed until you spend all the time getting there, wasting your day as the rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional people there inform you at the desk trying to keep clients they didn't earn nor do they deserve. I have been a patient of Dr Tim Steimel's for approximatly 10 years. I would rate Dr. Steimel & Jamie a 5/5 for their excellent care, compassion, and professionalism over the years. I am saddenned that Dr Steimel is no longer working at Bloomfield Hills Dental Group. The office was conveniently located to my home. I am, however, confused as to why I continue to get correspondances from "Dr Steimel" to make an appointment for a visit when he is no longer practicing there. A switch and bait?? Bloomfield Hills Dental Group, please be more transparent. If Dr Steimel is no longer there, stop using his name to draw pstients in. My 1/5 rating is due to the lack of business integrity in using Dr Steimels name and image when he is no longer there to draw his patients in to the practice.

Dr. Steimel and his whole staff are always courteous and on time with every appointment I have ever had with them. They are pleasant and always treat you like family. They have great concern for making you comfortable. Jamie is so welcoming and puts you at ease. I recommend them when I am asked for a referral.
