Dr. Bloom, a native of Maryland, graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology. She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Upon graduation, Dr. Bloom entered a post-doctoral residency program in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Florida and graduated with a Master of Science in oral biology and certificate in orthodontics. Dr. Blooms thesis evaluated the benefits of early orthodontic treatment, and she participated in an extraordinary research study of Class II malocclusion, which is still used as an important tenet in orthodontics.
Dr. Bloom currently resides in Clarksville, MD with her husband Paul. They have two sons, Jake (22) who is a college graduate with a BS in Biology hoping to go to medical school and Max (20) who is a sophomore at UMD studying criminology and global terrorism. When shes not working, Dr. Bloom enjoys running, yoga, playing tennis, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family outdoors hiking and exploring. Dr. Bloom's passion is in integrative nutrition where she is always researching, learning, and taking classes. She is also a certified hospice volunteer with Gilchrist Hospice.
Dr. Reddy, a native of Maryland, attended Howard University's accelerated medical/dental program. She then continued on to the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Reddy completed a general practice residency program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, where she gained experience in head and neck trauma, oral pathology and cancers of the head and neck, orthognathic surgery, and interdisciplinary orthodontic and pediatric treatment. She received her orthodontic specialty certificate and masters degree in oral biology from the University of Detroit Mercy.
Her orthodontic residency provided an excellent foundation in early interdisciplinary treatment, surgical cases, and the Roth concept of tooth movement combined with TMJ analysis. This then became the forefront of their practice and then evolved into using the concept of a friction-free bracketing system that is currently using in their practice today.

I joined Bloom & Reddy in 2017. I have been in the field of orthodontics for more than36 years with extensive background as an orthodontic assistant, receptionist, insurance coordinator, and treatment coordinator. I have a BS in biology from the University of Maryland with a minor in English. I am expanded function certified in general dentistry as well as orthodontics, and maintain my radiology certification as well.
I have been with Bloom and Reddy Orthodontics since 2006. I manage all of the day to day patient finances and insurance claims, and trouble shoot any and all financial concerns on behalf of our patients and their parents. I have 28 years of experience in the dental field, 18 of which have been in the specialty of orthodontics.
I truly enjoy my job because I know that I can help make a difference in how another person feels about themselves. I like working with families to make financial arrangements that suit each one's individual needs. It is so rewarding to watch a patient receive a beautiful smile...what better way to see them so happy. Both the doctors and all of us continue to use the latest and most innovative technology to deliver the best care possible. I live in New Market with my husband Mike and my youngest son Brandon and golden retriever Rosie. I have three children and five grandchildren. In my free time, I enjoy line dancing and volunteering at my church.
I've been working in orthodontics since 2018. I had my braces put on at Bloom & Reddy in 2007 and I am so excited to be working here now! I have my radiology certification and am completing my expanded functions orthodontic certification. I love everything about orthodontics: the patient interaction, the technical skill, the team, and working in the lab making orthodontic retainers!
I joined the Bloom & Reddy team in June of 2020. I have been in the dental field for five years. Orthodontics is the best part of dentistry! I am radiology certified and I am in the process of getting my expanded functions certification in orthodontics. My co-workers at Bloom & Reddy are the best!
I joined Bloom & Reddy as an orthodontic assistant in April 2021. I am board certified in both dental radiology and orthodontic expanded functions, and I received my bachelors degree in Family Studies from Towson University. I absolutely love helping to create beautiful smiles! Watching a patients smile and confidence transform over the course of their treatment is the best part of my job. When I am not in the office I love going on adventures with my daughter and spending time with our family and friends!
I joined Bloom & Reddy Orthodontics in 2021 as a receptionist. I am also certified as an orthodontic assistant. Ive been in the dental field for 5 years and I love working with our patients. I am from Damascus, MD and currently live in Frederick, MD with my 3 kids, my Bernedoodle, Hamster, 2 guinea pigs and fish. In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, cooking and watching the kids compete in cheer, lacrosse and baseball. I also enjoy watching my daughter horseback ride and compete in shows.
Dr. Bloom and Dr. Reddy have known each other since 1988, when they met in dental school. While they pursued programs in different parts of the country for their orthodontic degrees, they maintained their friendship and opened their orthodontic practice together in Frederick in 1997.
Dr. Bloom and Dr. Reddy pride themselves in staying current with advances in the field of orthodontics and technology. They have a unique approach to practicing orthodontics in that they both diagnose, plan treatments, and provide treatment for each patient by working together. Their hands-on approach with each patient and parent at every visit sets them apart.
Everyone on our team knows that orthodontics is a journey. Most patients start treatment feeling ashamed of their smile, because of their crooked teeth. Not only do they feel embarrassed to smile, but they tend to be withdrawn and avoid a lot of personal interaction.
Once treatment begins, though, the person begins to transform. As they see the visible changes in their teeth, gently being shifted into place, they begin to feel better about their appearance. Each person starts to make eye contact and starts to smile, openly and happily. By the end of their orthodontic journey, they are smiling and laughing with ease. Their self-esteem has blossomed and so too has their confidence. They know they have an incredible smile and love sharing it.
