A picture explains what words never can, especially when it comes to your teeth. An intraoral camera can take pictures with such detail, it can show cracks and stress marks in a tooth that cant be seen with the naked eye.

We continue to be impressed by the kindness and hospitality provided by the staff at Bloom Dental. Even though we are relatively new to Dr. Finneys practice, we have already experienced many of the different types of dental services he offers. Great place to go! My first experience with Dr. Finney I had chipped my front tooth and he got me in quick and did a really good job, my tooth looked better than it did before the chip. Since then he has extracted a tooth that was giving me problems and the process went smoother than I could have imagined. The whole staff is friendly and will go out of there way to ensure you have a pleasant experience. They will work to accommodate you in any way possible.
This office is amazing!! I have been a patient here for 40 years. Everyone in the office is very friendly, and my hygienist always does an excellent job cleaning my teeth. I also like how Dr Finney explains his findings while showing me a picture of the area as well. I highly recommend this office!
Dr. Brandt Finney was born in Bloomington and grew up in Bedford. Dr. Finney graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School, receiving the honor as Class President. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at Indiana University Bloomington. He went on to obtain a Masters of Science degree in Biology from Purdue University and then earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.
Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Finney has been committed to excellence in dentistry. He is truly passionate about dentistry and the quality of his work. He regularly travels throughout the U.S. to learn and advance his skillset in order to provide his patients with the highest quality of care available today. He annually obtains at least five times the required amount of continuing education hours. I'd like to thank Doctor Finney and his staff for the quick and excellent dental care they gave to my son. I called him and he immediately called me back after 5 min during the holiday. He created space on his busy schedule on the next day to take care of my son. We appreciated very much the quality of his service.

I have always had bad dental anxiety and was very nervous to go to the dentist due to past dental procedures gone wrong. First time going to Bloom Dental I received very good care from the dental hygienists who were very kind. Dr Finney is very exceptional and he assured me my tooth extraction would be painless and he delivered just that, I was very comfortable through the whole process and felt that they took very good care of me. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has severe dental anxiety like me. They are absolutely the best! The staff at the front desk are very welcoming too. Totally loved my experience.

I've been to 4+ dentists in the NWI area and going to school at IU diminishes my time to be at home for dental appointments. I was hesitant to find a new dentist in Bloomington but my first choice was Bloom Dental among the others offered. Dr Finney is an exceptional person who is direct and very communicative during his practice. The hygienists who are on staff are exceptional and extremely efficient with their work. From my experience it has been pleasant to know that oral care is indeed different for everyone and I have received numerous methods to improve my oral care health. I've deeply appreciated the ability that the office is able to provide invoices with and without insurance claims and has helped me project costs for current and future dental work. (Most practices don't even offer you to see your bill until it's mailed to you with only the cost and not the breakdown ) Overall I have enjoyed my experience and will be coming back for my time in Bloomington .

First I will say be very suspicious of all the Bloomington dental groups reviews. It seems amazing to me that everyone has a 4.9 and above while the majority of their reviewers only have a few reviews. Unfortunately I had a horrible experience at Bloom Dental. They canceled my cleaning twice and I had to really push to be seen for a damaged tooth. At my appointment the x-rays were very uncomfortable. I told the hygienist I needed to take a break and she needed to go slower. She continued to rush hitting my gag reflex. I again asked her to slow down which she ignored. I eventually started to cry from her hitting my gag reflex and told her to stop. She was young but her inexperience is no excuse for ignoring a patient saying no and stop. My experience with Dr. Brandt was unfortunately even worse. He was rude at best. He barely checked my teeth before telling me I needed 3 caps and 4 fillings. He told me that if I was going to be a patient I would have to be fully sedated and he would not treat me unless I fully went under. This is incredibly unethical. It is forcing a patient to choose between care they need and what their bodies need to feel safe. I told him I was not comfortable going under and Dr. Brandt repeated that if I wanted treatment I would need to go under for the comfort of the other patients who might be uncomfortable if I were to cry again. Overall this office does not understand patient consent or trauma. I find it very odd given that the office claims to be for patients who have trauma. In my experience they are not at all trauma informed and are coercive. They seem to want to just put all their patients under so that they do not cause them any "problems." I will also note that I just had an AMAZING experience at Liberty Dental for a cleaning and exam. The exam was painless. The staff all asked for consent before every step. Also I will note that the Dentist at Liberty clearly stated twice (because I asked him to confirm) that I absolutely do not need any caps and he felt it would be more harmful than good to put caps on the teeth Dr. Bradnt said were in need of immediate caps. Also no cavities unlike what Dr. Bradnt said. The dentist at Liberty also is going to fix a incorrect filling that is discolored and causing issues; something I noted to Brandt but he ignored. Overall, this is NOT the dentist for anyone with dental or medical trauma. I sincerely hope the dentist and staff reflect and get proper training for trauma-informed care.

This is the best dental office I have ever been too. The staff, everyone from the front office to the hygienist, are so helpful and Dr. Finney is excellent. I have had implants that he has taken care of, fillings, partials and more....all the work has been done professionally and with care. I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend.

Dr. Finney has picked up where Dr. Davis and Dr. Lawler before them left off. Through it all Natasha has been a consistently great hygienist and Linda has managed the office with great humor. You'll be well cared for!
