Dr. Joseph M. Blondin earned his Endodontic Certificate and Masters Degree in Dental Science from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine Endodontics program where he served as Chief Resident in his 3rd year. Dr. Blondin completed a four year program at UCONN school of Dental Medicine to earn his D.M.D. degree and served as graduation speaker for his class. He earned his bachelor of science at the University of Notre Dame (go Irish!).
In 2014 he received the very prestigious Top 10 nationwide award for his oral research presentation from the AAE/Dentsply National Meeting. Dr. Blondin is active in dental politics and served as a resident member of the American Association of Endodontics Committee on Regeneration and is a past President of the Dutchess County Dental Society.
Dr. Blondin volunteered his dental skills on a dental mission trip to Paraguay in 2011 and has participated in the Connecticut Mission of Mercy, donating his services to the Connecticut underserved population. In November of 2016 Dr. Blondin became a Diplomate of The American Association of Endodontics, achieving his goal to become a Board Certified Endodontist for the Hudson Valley. Dr. Blondin has been voted Top Endodontist in the Hudson Valley every year since 2018 and has scholarships setup at Marist College and the University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Blondin spends his free time with his wife Tina and two children Joe Jr. and Autumn going to New England Patriots football games (hes a season ticket holder!) or playing tennis and golf. Dr. Blondin looks forward to treating you!
Dr. Denise A. Assogna established her endodontic practice in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1992. She is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers) where she completed a two-year specialty training program in endodontics. Dr. Assogna attended the four year program at SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine where she earned her D.D.S. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Philosophy from Fordham University.
Dr. Assognas teaching experience includes: Clinical Instructor at the Endodontic Program at SUNY Stony Brook, undergraduate & post graduate Clinical Instructor at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine from 2002-2012. Dr. Assogna also served as Director of the endodontic curriculum and Clinical Instructor at Castle Point VA. She served for several years as Secretary of the Dutchess County Dental Society. Dr. Assogna completes manyhours of continuing education annually which illustrates her commitmentto keeping up to date with the latest technology and techniques to ensure the best possible care is delivered to her patients.
Dr. Assogna supports many local charitable foundations and donates several scholarships to undergraduate and post graduate students and has been voted Top Endodontist every year since 2008. Dr. Assogna is a member of the ADA, AAE (American Association of Endodontics), The NYSDA (New York State Dental Association), the 9th District Dental Society and the Dutchess County Dental Society. Dr. Luz E Mejia has been with the practice since 2003. Dr. Mejia worked as a general dentist in a private practice in White Plains, New York and in Manhattan before obtaining her specialty in Endodontics. She earned her certificate in endodontics from NYU College of Dentistry where she taught undergraduate dental students. Dr. Mejia completed her General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center and earned her D.D.S. from NYU College of Dentistry. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Manhattan College in Riverdale.
Dr. Mejia enjoys volunteering her time treating underprivileged patients in a dental outreach program in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Mejia has been voted Top Endodontist in the Hudson Valley every year since 2008. Dr. Mejia completes a number of continuing education courses every year with the American Association of Endodontics and other organizations in order to keep her knowledge and skills updated. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the New York County Dental Society and a member of the 9th District Dental Society, the NYSDA and the Dutchess County Dental Society.
She lives in beautiful Cold Spring with her husband and 3 young boys where she is active in volunteering in her community and at her childrens schools. She was a board member of the non-for profit Haldane School Foundation, the treasurer of the Philipstown Little League, a member and chair of the Giving Tree Committee of the PTA at the Haldane School district and volunteers for school fairs, the Putnam history museum, and the local lions club in addition to volunteering as a class mother.
