Dr. Brenda Howard is a graduate of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA. She completed a General Dentistry Residency at MeHarry Medical College in Nashville, TN. During her residency, Dr. Howard additionally pursued her personal interest in oral surgery by also training with the Vanderbilt University oral surgery residents. Once her formal training was completed, she served as a captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps at Walter Reed Army Medical Center for three years. She is a past officer in the Southern MD Dental Society and is a member of the National Dental Association and the Greater Washington Area Womens Dental Society. She was selected to Outstanding Young Women of America.
She started her private practice in Greenbelt, MD, in 1985 and continues to serve Greenbelt and its surrounding communities. A passionate believer in continuing education, Dr. Howard has completed several hundred hours of continuing education courses in all phases of dentistry. She also consistently sends her staff to continuing education courses so that they too are aware of the latest procedures. She loves taking care of her patients, alleviating their pain, and satisfying their cosmetic needs. She is happy to give back to the community at health fairs and by participating with the MD Healthy Smiles program for children and Donated Dental Services for adults. She has also traveled outside the U.S. to provide dental care in developing countries.
Dr. Howard is the oldest of six sisters and three brothers, so her personal life is filled with family events when she is not pursuing her desire to experience all manner of sports and hobbies. Dr. Howard bikes, plays tennis, skis, scuba dives, reads, travels, and enjoys her friends. She thanks her God for allowing her to earn her living doing what she loves and what she feels he placed her on this earth to do.

My appoints with Dr. Howard are always pleasant and friendly. I enjoy my visits with the entire office staff as well. There has never been a time where I have to wait to be seen.

Great experience with Dr. Howard & Staff from the beginning to the end. I was referred to Dr. Howard and the experience was everything that they said it would be in a positive manner. They definitely reduced my fears of the dentist and wished I would have started out there in the beginning. I will definitely refer my Family and Friends to Blissful Dental Care.

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Howard for the first time and my visit was wonderful. Her staff from Ms. Destiny to the X-ray tech to the dental assistant were kind, professional and a joy to have met. Dr. Howard performed my services with such skill and compassion. I think I have found my final dentist in this lifetime! Cheers to Dr. Howard and her wonderful staff!! It was a Blissful experience.

Dr. Howard and staff are thorough, professional. I had a terrible experience with a past dentists and developed a fear of the dentist office. Eventually, I had to find a dentist. I found Dr. Howard. She took time to deal with my fears and get my mouth together. I have been with her and her team for over 15 years now. Every 6 months is like going to see friends.

Dr. Howard and her staff are wonderful. Dr. Howard is caring and extremely accommodating. She worked me in for a filling that was found during my cleaning, knowing that I had a difficult time arranging childcare. I highly recommend her.

I would like to thank Dr. Howard for giving me an appointment yesterday. I had a dental emergency and she did not hesitate to tell me to come on in as soon as I could get there. I was a New Patient with a serve problem and she made me feel at ease. I recommended other Family member's to her and would like her to be my Dentist to take care all of my Dental concerns.

Dr. Howard you are an outstanding dentist, you gave my daughter a wonderful smile about 30 years ago. Lost contact due to dental insurance issues, reconnected with you in 2020 and I am soooo happy that I did. As then you were awesome and you are still AWESOME!!!!
