As a leading Portland Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Katie Ball loves what she does. Believe it or not, a childhood fear of the dentist fueled her lifelong passion for easng people in her own dental chair. That's how caring she is.
In her eyes, a beautiful smile is a healthy smile. She has a sterling reputation for ensuring utmost comfort for all patients, which stems from her experience in providing dental care exclusively to children. Down to earth and kind, Dr. Katie always takes her time with patients (especially anxious ones) to ensure they're relaxed and informed about their dental health treatments. She educates her patients about all their options so that her patients are involved in coming up with the best plan for them.
After growing up in the Portland area, Dr. Katie went to dental school at Boston University. Dr. Katie's advocacy for accessible dental health has led to several humanitarian mission trips, where she's provided services in Mexico, Brazil, Dominican Republic, and Honduras. She also developed the Socialite Teeth Whitening System, a product near and dear to her heart that makes at-home teeth whitening a breeze for her patients.
In addition to her many hours at Bling Dental, Dr. Katie is an avid member of the Sunset Study Club, Portland Implant Study Club, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Northwest Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry and Spear Faculty Club. An academic (and overachiever!) to the core, Dr. Katie keeps her brain active by racking up hours in continuing education. In her off time, you can find her rooting for the Trailblazers, Seahawks, and Red Sox while planning her next big trip to the beach.
Dr. Becca likes doing everything outdoorsy. Paddle boarding, camping, backpacking and she thoroughly takes advantage of all the Pacific Northwest has to offer. She also enjoys traveling, and Dr. Katie would describe her as a health nut.
Dr. Becca was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri where she obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. She then pursued her dental school education at Arizona School of Dentistry and earned her degree in 2015.
Shortly after receiving her dental degree, Dr. Becca moved to Oregon to escape the desert and pursue her love of outdoor activities. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, trail running, camping, yoga, and snowboarding.
As a dentist, Dr. Becca enjoys educating her patients on oral health and aims to give every patient the best dental experience possible. In addition, she is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists, participates in local study clubs, and is currently taking courses on implantology.
Dr. Lara grew up near New York City and moved to Portland 5 years ago with her husband. She loves exploring the outdoors and all of the incredible food that the area offers. As a fourth-generation dentist she is passionate about the ever changing field of dentistry through technological advancements.
Dr. Lara received her bachelors degree in Biological Anthropology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She later attended Columbia University in New York City where she received her dental degree. She then completed a General Practice Residency program at the Portland VA Hospital and provided complex dental care for veterans.
In her spare time she enjoys trying new restaurants and cuisines, gardening, hiking, spending time outdoors, and attending dance classes. She loves spending time with her husband, Jonathan, who is training at OHSU to become an oral surgeon. She also has a son, Ethan, and a dog named Finn.
Dr. Lara is highly committed to providing her patients with a positive experience in the dental office. She strives to deliver gentle and high-quality dental care with attention to the little details. She looks forward to forming relationships with her patients, hearing about their lives outside of dentistry, and working together to achieve a healthy smile.
