Endodontists are dentists who specialize in maintaining teeth through endodontic therapy -- procedures, involving the soft inner tissue of the teeth, called the pulp. The word 'endodontic' comes from 'endo' meaning inside and 'odont' meaning tooth. Like many medical terms, it 's Greek. All dentists are trained in diagnosis and endodontic therapy, however, some teeth can be especially difficult to diagnose and treat. Thats why you may have been referred to an endodontic specialist.In addition to dental school, endodontists receive two or more years of advanced education in this kind of treatment. They study root canal techniques and procedures in greater depth, for diagnosis and treatment of more difficult cases. For this reason, many dentists choose to refer their patients to endodontists.
Dr. Blanscet, a native of North Little Rock, began his post high school education at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. After graduating with a B.S. in Biology, he remained in Memphis to attend the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.
He then chose to serve his country by working as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy. After serving for four years, he was selected to complete a residency in Endodontics at the United States Naval Post Graduate Dental School, in Bethesda, MD. For three years after completing his residency, he served as Head of the Endodontics Department at the Norfolk Naval Station Dental Clinic in Virginia.

Very thorough and compassionate care received today. Dr Blanscet uses Gentle Wave technology for root canal procedure. Additionally, his staff answered all my questions beforehand and I left feeling relieved!

I got 2 root canals in one day! Had zero problems at all! The nicest staff you will ever meet! 100% recommend this office!

I saw him yesterday for a root canal. He did a great job and his staff was curteous. The only caution I will tell you is to make sure they are in-network with your insurance. They are not in-network with MetLife, however, fortunately my Metlife plan paid the same for out of network and in-network providers. Other than that I had no pain during the procedure and everything went well. I will use them in the future if needed.

This was the easiest dental experience of my life. I've had cleanings that hurt worse than this root canal. I always have swelling and pain following any dental work, but I didn't have to take any pain medication after. These people are skilled and compassionate.

So nice!!!!! I had an emergency root canal retreated with an abscess tooth. They got me in immediately. Helped me so much managing the pain. They really do care, Dr. Blancet called me himself to see how I was doing afterwards. All the nurses were super sweet as well!!

Had a root canal done by Dr. Blanscet today. His staff was very helpful and nice during the check-in process and during my appointment. I was nervous leading up to my appointment, but Dr. Blanscet put my mind at ease very quickly as he throughly explained thru x-rays how he was going to perform the procedure. Dr. Blanscet is knowledgeable, experienced, efficient and overall, a nice guy. Highly recommended and a very pleasurable experience!
