Dr. Don Blakeslee, his beautiful wife and two talented daughters, have called Fridley their home since 1981. When not in the office, you can find him tending to his burgeoning garden, trekking the world with his DSLR camera, molding pottery clay, sharpening his sailing abilities, camping in Minnesota wilderness and maintaining his fitness with yoga.

Dedicated to service. Not only can you find him in the Blaine office, youll find him volunteering throughout the Twin Cities. Every month, Dr. Blakeslee donates his dental skills to Sharing and Caring Hands in Minneapolis. Another way he has given back is through the Give Kids a Smile program since 2003. A free program held every year to help families and children unable to afford basic dental care.

I have been a dental hygienist since 1989, graduated from University of Minnesota Duluth. I have enjoyed working with the staff at Blakeslee Dental since 1998. While making each patients experience unique to their needs, I find it rewarding to help them achieve a higher level of health.
I graduated from the University of North Dakota (go Sioux) in 1992 with a degree in political science, spanish and psychology. My intention at that time was to go onto dental school. After deciding instead to pursue a career in dental hygiene, I enrolled at Normandale Community College. I have been a registered dental hygienist since 1996 and have been with Blakeslee Dental for the past 9 years. I wish I would have found them earlier!!

Having been Dr. Blakeslee's patient for over 30 years, the transition to a new dentist and hygienist could cause a little anxiety. However, my visit today for a cleaning and exam was very pleasant. I was greeted courteously at the front desk. The hygienist, Victoria, was gentle and thorough. Dr. Milano was personable and professional. Being the follow up to Dr. Blakeslee can't be easy, but the staff at University Ave Dental made a very good first impression. Thank you!

Another great visit with Sheryl who's been my hygienist for a very long time. Very gentle, genuinely cares, goes above & beyond. I met a new dentist today, & he was great!!! Took the time to address my concern & made me feel comfortable... I do really miss Dr Blakeslee tho, he's the best!!!

I was looking forward to my visit, but when I walked in, I felt like people didn't know me anymore at the office. It wasn't the same atmosphere anymore. Receptionist did not give me a warm greeting and my former hygienist had left. My new hygienist was very nice though.
