First off, let me say that I am a medical doctor from Florida who resides here part of the year. I am therefore quite familiar with medical practices and tactics some will use in order to "legitimately" increase billing. Before I scheduled an appointment for my wife and myself I checked with my insurance carrier who informed me that Blairsville Dentistry was on my plan and there would be no charge to me for usual and customary charges routine X-Rays, cleaning and exam. I then confirmed this by telephone with Blairsville Dentistry prior to scheduling our appointments for routine cleaning. When we left we were told that insurance would be billed. I later received a bill from Blairsville dentistry for $509.00. This is the amount not covered by by plan that tells me that usual and customary charges of $418.00 were paid to Blairsville dentistry. We were herded to the panoramic X-Ray machine (read "money maker") and never given the option for this unnecessary examination for which we were billed $278.00. Google the article from the University at Buffalo titled "Routine Dental Panoramic X-Rays Not Necessary, Study Shows." Also, go to NIH, National Library of Medicine article by V E Rushton et al. Oral Surgery Oral Med Oral Path Oral Endod. 2002 Apr. that reached the conclusion that " Routine Panoramic radiography of adult dental patients is not supported by the results of this study." There are many legitimate medical articles published regarding this money maker. The point is patients should be informed that this is not a routinely recommended imaging study and will be an out-of-pocket expense, if desired. To make matters even more suspicious, my wife was told she needs three dental repairs and I require two. I was seen by my dentist in Florida less than six months prior and I had NO CARIES. I will get a second opinion in Florida. I am just stating facts, not judging. We will get a second opinion. However, it seems that the office should give full discloser as to costs, as they surely have a very good idea of what is covered...at least my dentist in Florida does. In fact, my Florida dentist sits down and he, himself discloses EXACTLY to the penny what my out of pocket charges will be, PRIOR to any work being done. In my opinion, the way that Blairsville Dentistry handles disclosure of charges was misleading to us. So, if you have deep pockets go to Blairsville Dentistry and open your wallet. I will not return.

Everyone here is so nice. Especially the hygienist Kate who cleaned my teeth. Not easy to do when you have a small mouth and braces. I highly recommend this place!

New patient at Blairsville Dentistry. Had an appointment for a cleaning July 5th. My past experiences with Aspen Dental in Palm Coast Florida and Great Expressions Dental in Gainesville Georgia were not great to say the least. So I was a bit apprehensive heading into this appointment. I am pleased to say that this experience was far and above better than my previous dental visits. The professionalism showed by Kristy far exceeded anything I have experienced in the past 5 years. I would highly recommend Blairsville Dentistry to anyone in search of a new dentist. A huge thank you to Kristy and Blairsville Dentistry.

We love Blairsville Dentistry! Dr Noland and Ms. Debbie Tucker make dentist visits not so bad. I have guardianship of my 26 yr old autistic son who gets his teeth cleaned every 3 months. We have been patients for almost 6 years. Their entire staff is compassionate, understanding and always friendly and welcoming.

Dr. Noland and her team of hygienists, including Debbie & Kate are truly top notch professionals. We've been patients for over 4 years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. In-Network provider or not, we're happy to support this local small practice instead of heavily advertised or big corporate dental businesses. Thank you, Ilse

Blairsville Dentistry provides outstanding professional care. The purpose of today's visit was a routine dental cleaning. Kristy performs a thorough yet gentle cleaning that includes checking my neck and tongue for any spots or lumps. She has a personable manner and I appreciate her useful tips for my daily dental routine. Dr. Noland follows up with a meticulous examination, providing assurance of quality care.

Just got a letter in the mail that basically states they are going to screw all of their patients that have perfectly good insurance. Letter says they are no longer going to be an in-network provider which means they don't like what the insurance companies are giving them and by going out of network they can screw you with higher prices. Why would you want to do that to your patients. Wow, can't believe this area with insurance and trying to get any care at all from medical, dental and eye care.

I called trying to get an appointment for a cleaning and check up for my daughter and the receptionist told me they didn't have any openings until November! This is January! They can't be that busy. Was also rude about my insurance company which is through the hospital and top insurance. Don't recommend.

Frustrated and disappointed by my first (and last) experience with Blairsville Dentistry. On Oct. 26 I had an appointment to get a crown reattached. It had popped off a couple of days before. I have two homes, one near Atlanta and one in the mountains and had been planning to move my dentist needs to here. After my experience I will definitely not be doing so. For the positive, I appreciate that the office was able to get me in last minute. While I was not an existing patient I had already set up a visit to have my teeth cleaned, get Xrays, etc. (that appointment was for a couple of months later)..again they were very flexible and got me in right away. Further, the office is doing a great job with regard to Covid. That is most appreciated. Finally I appreciated the woman who was the assistant. She and the other staff were great. On the negative side, the price was extremely high. I was charged $284 for basically a few minutes of work. Seriously? I understand that professional services, especially medical/dental, are costly...but this seems over the top price gauging. Plus they insisted on doing an Xray. I get why they might want to do that but all I needed was the crown to be reattached. Don't pad the bill. Not sure if this is reflective of all dentists in the area but I was floored when I got the bill. I felt like I was ripped off!!! My biggest concern was the next day the crown fell out. Seriously? Why in the world did I just pay nearly $300 for you to NOT do the job??? Since I was traveling (it came out on the drive to my other home) and going to be gone the next couple of weeks I had no choice but to go to my longstanding dentist in Gwinnett County to get it fixed. They were also able to get me in right away. And the charge was only $100. What a difference! Plus...the crown has stayed in (its been 5 months now). Bottom line - I have decided to look for another dentist in the mountains! I cannot recommend anyone using this dentist practice

My 2nd routine cleaning & check-up. Katie, the dental hygienist, does a very thorough cleaning, including checking for TMJ, under tongue, inside checks. Dr Nolan does a very thorough job of checking my teeth. They both are very professional & personable. I highly recommend them both!

Going to the dentist is never a place where you would say "I really enjoyed my time there" but the staff at Blairsville's Family Dentistry makes a dreaded visit so pleasant. From the time you enter the door until you leave your feel like you have been with family. It is truly an excellent place to go to for all your dental needs. Thank you Blairsville Family Dentistry for your excellent service. Carol Webb Warne, NC
