Continuing education is always a top priority for all of us at Blair Ridge Dental.I recently completed a two-year mentorship at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry with Dr. Gordon Christensen, as well as a ten-month implant MaxiCourse at Loma Linda University sponsored by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Since 1999, I have been anadjunct faculty member at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in the Department of Family Dentistry.I enjoy spending time in the classroom furthering my dental education as well as keeping pace with the technological challenges of the dental profession.It is all intended to fulfill my obligation to keep my patients abreast of what todays dentistry can provide for them and their families.

I grew up in Boca Raton, Florida and made my way to Kansas City where I met my wife Shelley.We have two children, Logan and Brittany, and have enjoyed participating in all their events and activities. Westill do in their college years.I enjoy volunteering at the community dental clinic as well as the Iowa Mission of Mercy.

Being a member of Kiwanis International is an avenue to help children right here in Eastern Iowa.Additionally, I can be found cheering for the Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball team and Roughriders hockey team as the team dentist.

I obtained my fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2006, mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2015,and currentlyam the only female Accredited Cosmetic Dentist with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in the state of Iowa.

I grew up in Anamosaand have lived in Eastern Iowa my whole life. My husband JJ is a prosthodontic dental specialist here at the practice. We havethree daughtersBrooke, Lauren, and Ashlynwho provide us with lots of entertainment and joy. In my spare time, I enjoy watching Iowa Hawkeye football, biking, and being with family and friends.

As a dentist, I look forward to creating lifelong relationships with my patients while providing a comfortable environment for them to receive dental care. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, but I have a special interest in cosmetic andsedation dentistry. The best feeling is to getpatients out of pain, improve their function, and give them the smile they have always wanted. I love working with patients of all ages, from young children to mature adults. It is the relationships I make with each patient that I enjoy the most.

I consider myself a lifelong student of dentistry, and pride myself on taking continuing education courses to stay on top of the latest techniques, technology, and procedures in an effort to offer the most to our patients. I am a certified Invisalign provider licensed in IVconscious sedation. Everything I learn is applied to my practice and is intended to improve my patients quality of care.

I grew up in the Twin Cities and now reside in North Liberty with my husband Justin, our children Callie and Tyson, and our springer spaniels Benelli and Winchester.In my free time I stay active throughrunning, group fitness, and soccer. I enjoy spending time with friends, watching sports, and traveling. As former student athletes at the University of Iowa, my husband and I have a passion for Hawkeye athletics.
