Debbie has been in the medical field for the last eight years and just reached her first anniversary at our practice! She lives in Oxford with her husband, Tony. They have three grown daughters and a granddaughter. When Debbie is not working or watching her granddaughter, she enjoys her passion for music. She is an accomplished guitarist and singer!

Jennifer has been a dental assistant for 16 years, working with Dr. Banwell prior to Dr. Blackwell assuming the practice. She loves her job and her patients. Jennifer is a Navy baby born in Groton, CT but raised in Waterbury. She has lived in Oakville for 18 years with her husband Steve and two children, Julianna and Evan. She is also a proud Grandmother to her 19 month old grandson, Elijah. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and large Italian and Irish family!

Shelley is a 2003 graduate from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene in Bridgeport, CT. She enjoys family time with her husband, Eric, and their two sons, Kyle and Colin. Shelley is an avid runner and has completed three marathons, including the Boston marathon in 2017.

Corina brings over 35 years of experience as a dental hygienist to our practice. She is excited to partner with you to achieve your best smile! Corina lives in Southbury with her husband. They have three grown children and a new grandson. When she's not at work, she loves doing genealogy, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Blackwell is originally from Pennington, NJ and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Computer Science. During that time, he also received a commission into the U.S. Navy as an Ensign and would serve for the next 6 years. He served aboard the USS Port Royal out of Pearl Harbor, HI and the USS Vella Gulf out of Norfolk, VA. Dr. Blackwell left the service in 2006 as a Lieutenant in order to begin a second career in Dentistry.

Dr. Blackwell completed his post-graduate education at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where he received the Pierre Fauchard Award for Academic Excellence and was a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society. Upon graduation, he began an intensive one year residency program at Danbury Hospital where he received additional training in advanced procedures such as wisdom tooth removal, implant placement, molar root canal therapy, and more.

Dr. Blackwell and his wife, Erin, grew up in neighboring small towns in New Jersey and wanted to raise their children in the same sort of close-knit community they experienced. They fell in love with Southbury and Woodbury during the many trips taken to visit family in Vernon, CT and Boston, MA. They have lived in Southbury since 2015 and their oldest daughter is in Kindergarten at Gainfield Elementary School.
