Dr. Shnaydman's path to the founding of Blackstone Endodontics began with her interest in helping patients who experience toothache. After getting her B.S. in biophysics from Brandeis University, she attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and obtained her D.M.D. Returning to the Boston area, she practiced general dentistry for seven years. But, in that time she began more and more to be drawn to the specialty of endodontics. The ability to preserve patients natural teeth, the delicacy of the work, and more than anything the deep satisfaction of helping provide relief to patients in pain, led her to go back to school to get her certificate in Endodontics. She did this in 2008, returning to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine to complete an endodontic residency. She also received a Masters in Dental Science degree.
Dr. Shnaydman has practiced endodontics all throughout New England, from Londonderry, New Hampshire to North Providence, Rhode Island. Establishing Blackstone Endodontics is the fulfillment of a dream to provide patient-centered care to those in need of endodontic therapies. She feels that her years as a general dentist allow her to work in close collaboration with patients own dentists to provide the best possible care and outcomes in a calm, patient-friendly environment. She prides herself on easy, unhurried communication with both patients and dentists, and strives to answer any and all questions to help inform patients and achieve the best outcomes.
Dr. Shnaydman is an assistant clinical professor in endodontics at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she has been teaching endodontic residents for the last five years. She has also lectured at Yankee Dental Conference on the topic of non-odontogenic pain. Professional organizations she belongs to include:
Dr. Shnaydman and her husband have two young children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family at the beach, curling up with a good mystery, and traveling to wonderful locales such as a recent trip to Iceland.

Dr. Shnaydman took me in on extremely short notice to perform a root canal procedure on a very painful tooth. Dr. Shnaydman, Megan and the entire staff were excellent, toothache is gone! Every aspect of this practice is top notch, I highly recommend...easily 5 stars!

I felt very comfortable with my decision to have my root canal done at Blackstone Endodontics, they were very well-referred by other medical professionals. Dr. Mariya Shnaydman was incredibly precise and ensured that I had zero discomforts throughout the entire process. Clearly, this was business as usual for her... She's a BEAST when it comes to teeth!!

Blackstone Endodontics is amazing! This was my third root canal, but my first here, and compared to the other place I've been, it was so much better. The staff is very friendly, and the doctor not only took time to explain what my options were, she talked to me every step of the way, telling me exactly what she was going to do. I've been to other places, but now I won't go anywhere else!

My Dentist sent me here to have a Root Canal, that's all. She told me I have a cavity, which my Dentist and myself knew about, but before my Dentist could address the cavity, the Root canal need to be done. I specifically asked her NOT to touch the cavity as it was goig to be addressed by my Dentist 4 days later. Well after she was done, I realized that she went against my wishes, and took away half my tooth and used a temporary filling. Now I have to hope that my Dentist can fix it. She told me Not to use the tooth at All because it was only a temporary filling, just so you know, this is a Front tooth and myself and my Dentist came up with a plan, and I'm not sure if this will be able to be fixed correctly. I'm very upset, she didn't even smooth out the temporary filling. One of the employees told me they were short handed, so I feel as though she rushed through everything and just dismissed my feelings. I was trying to wait to get a crown on this tooth until my insurance rolls into the next year, so it would be covered. So the purpose of her not touching my cavity was to try to save me time and money. Now if I have to get the Crown before my coverage rolls over, I'm screwed. She literally did want She Wanted, with no consideration for me and how this affects my situation. I will never go back to her.

Great experience. I had 2 root canals within a week and was treated timely and professionally. Painless and minimal discomfort afterwards. A doctor and staff we're friendly and compassionate.

It's never fun getting a root canal but the doctor and the staff here were fantastic. Hope to never need another one, but if I do..... It will be at Blackstone Endodontics.

When I first called with major tooth pain they took me in immediately. Really showed how much they cared and wanted to help me. I even received a phone call when i got home that night from the doctor checking up on me. Excellent customer service throughout the entire process. From my first phone call and throughout. Very nice to call a business and be greeted this way. (Unfortunately, this doesnt happen often these days). I highly recommend Blackstone Endodontics. The entire staff was very nice, professional and caring. So to Dr Mariya Shnaydman and the entire staff, great job and thank you!!!

I was referred to Dr. Shnaydman by my dentist for a root canal. My first impression prior to my appointment was very positive. Jennifer; one of the front desk ladies, was friendly and patient, helping me to find a date and time that would fit into my busy schedule. The day of my appointment, I walked into a clean, tidy office. Vicky, Dr. Shnaydman's assistant, was fantastic! She was knowledgeable and easy to talk to, making me feel comfortable prior to my procedure. Dr. Shnaydman herself was wonderful. She was kind, thorough and efficient, explaining what she was doing each step of the way and checking to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. I would absolutely recommend this team of professionals!

Highly recommend!! I was referred by my father in law because I was experiencing a severe toothache and he suspected I needed a root canal. They were extremely accommodating and were able to see me immediately and were very compassionate about my pain and were eager to get me some relief. They were able to perform the root canal that day. This was my first root canal so I was extremely nervous to say the least. When I told them about my nervousness they assured me that it would not be a painful process and worked to make me as comfortable as possible.... and they succeeded!! They started by thoroughly explaining the process, offering me to choose music to listen to during the procedure and keeping me informed during the procedure. I cannot say enough positive things about everyone in this office, they are all A+++. Thank you very much to the entire professional staff at BE, I cannot imagine anyone having a negative experience here!!

I just had my first visit for my root canal at Blackstone endodontics office in Cumberland Rhode Island. I would recommend this office to anyone that has any type of anxiety for dental work. My procedure went smoothly with the help of a terrific oral surgeon and her wonderful staff. I am very much pleased with my procedure and the quality and compassionate care that I received today. Absolutely best experience I have had with endodontics even though I was in such pain because I needed a root canal! What a considerate, thorough and helpful team. So caring about my well being! While I hope to never have another root canal, I would not be as upset to know I could work with this team again!

This was my first root canal, I was a bit anxious however the staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make me comfortable. The worse part was the anticipation, once the procedure began I was able to relax. Myself, including my husband and son have had a very experience having root canals.

I had a traumatic experience when I was approximately 8 years old at a dental school in Boston. Therefore, every time I visit a Dentist my anxiety is is off the charts! Now add a root canal to the mix and it feels like I volunteered to face a firing squad. Well from the time I walked through the door of Blackstone Endontics "all the staff" are professional, polite and most importantly caring. You are asked what your favorite kind of music is when you sit in the dentist chair. Everything is explained and you are given the opportunity to ask questions. They made sure I did not experience any pain and checked on me throughout the entire procedure!!! I already have a Dentist that I love (Dr. Matrullo) but he referred me to Blackstone Endontics to a Root Canal specialist due to the roots being very long and hard to get to. I am very thankful that he made the referral.
