When Dr. Adams purchased an existing practice and took over the legacy of Dr. Jeff Jarvis, he understood the current expectations of the community. He knew he had to continue to deliver quality dental care that exceeded the standard while reflecting the lifestyle of his patients. This meant establishing a dental office that provides patient-focused dentistry that revolves around the overall wellness of the patient.

Dr. Brian Adams worked as a management consultant until age 30, but he just didnt have the passion for it. There was always something about dentistry that piqued his interest, and the idea of improving the quality of life for a patient was a mission Dr. Adams was ready to stand behind. He has always enjoyed helping others, and dentistry offered him the chance to make a difference in the lives of his patients and to watch their smiles grow.

Dr. Adams earned his dental degree from the University of Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Since graduation, he has taken well over 1,000 hours of continuing education, far beyond what is required.

In 2012, he was accepted as a clinical mentor at the prestigious Kois Center of Dental Excellence. This rigorous five-year curriculum in Seattle, Washington includes complex restorative casework and a series of written and oral examinations. This puts Dr. Adams into an elite group of dentists that have shown proficiency in all aspects of restorative dentistry.

In addition, Dr. Adams is a board member of the Contra Costa Dental Peer Review Committee, where he was nominated by his dental peers to help maintain the standard of care for practicing dentists throughout California. This committee is comprised of local dentists that have demonstrated clinical excellence in their field and choose to give back to their professional community.

Dr. Adams invests in continuing education and specialized training because he believes his dental knowledge will pay dividends in his patients care. He believes that by investing additional time outside of the practice into expanding his dental knowledge, his patients will see obvious dividends in their care.

When he purchased Blackhawk Dental Care from Dr. Jeff Jarvis, he knew hed need the support of a great team of professionals, which lead him to bringing on Dr. Michelle Feliciano-Turner. Dr. Adams has great confidence in his team and is committed to delivering the finest dental care to all his patients.

Dr. Filippo Cangini has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years. Born and raised in Italy, Dr. Cangini received his DDS from the University of Siena, Italy. After practicing for a few years as a general dentist, Dr Cangini decided to follow his passion and to master his skills in advanced implant and periodontal plastic surgery.

He first attended a 2-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of Rochester, NY. He then completed a 3-year specialty training program in Periodontics and Dental implants at the University of Rochester, NY and he obtained a Master in Oral Sciences at the University of Buffalo, NY. Dr Cangini is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. Cangini moved with his wife and three children to the Bay area in 2011 and he has been in private practice ever since making it his priority to deliver gentle and compassionate periodontal and dental implant care of the highest quality to all his patients.

Dr. Turner graduated with honors from dental hygiene school in 1997. She then attended a newly developed Pre-Dental program at UCSF. She graduated from the University of the Pacific Dental School in 2002 and earned recognition for her high marks by being a member of the Tau Kappa Omega Honor Society. While attending UOP, Dr. Turner was President of the community outreach program and received an award for community service from the American Association of Public Health. She also received several awards upon graduation, including excellence in pediatric dentistry and outstanding achievement in clinical Periodontics (treatment of gum disease). After graduation, she returned to UOP as a clinical instructor for removable prosthodontics (dentures).

Dr. Turner lives in Danville with her husband and three daughters. She also works as a co-teacher at St. Isidores Faith Formation. In her free time, she can be found biking, or working on home improvement projects.
