Just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out today by Dr. Dines and I will be completely honest, given all of the reviews that I have read and the low score this place had gotten, I was terrified to even get the procedure done. I already hate IVs and shots, especially in my mouth. I usually black out/pass out when I have to get them. Haven't had any novacaine shots in about 16 years. I have extremely high anxiety when it comes to anything medical and I had made the staff aware of this when I got there. I was suppose to get novacaine, laughing gas, and an IV originally, but thankfully I had spoken up about my fear of everything and I decided to get the numbing cream and novacaine only, after being made aware that they do not use numbing cream before the shots if they're doing an IV. Dr. Dines and the 2 nurses were extremely patient and comforting and there wasn't even a need for me to worry. I barely felt the novacaine shots and the only time I felt anything (pressure) was on one of the bottom teeth and it still was not that bad. Completely bearable. I was awake the whole time and asked for a break in between when my anxiety started to rear it's ugly head. They were all extremely kind and patient. I'm so thankful that the staff and Dr. Dines were as patient as they were, because it made it easier for me to breathe and relax my anxiety. Everything went pretty smoothly and I don't have any complaints.

He was supposed to put me out, but didn't. Had 16 teeth pulled, have 6 that are broke off at gum line . Almost like he didn't bother to pull them out just broke them n called it good. Would never recommend this dentist even for a dog.

Very rude dr I call ahead of time to let them due to construction I was gonna be a little late and then he wanted me to see an allergy specialist cause I cant have novacane and then he said even tho my insurance approved of ull sedation he wouldn't give it to me cause of me being a bit overweight

I believe that Dr. Dines cares about the well-being of his patients, and has a strong knowledge of oral surgery. I had three wisdom teeth out with him; one was impacted. He is not the most personable, but his staff are very friendly. There was confusion with the billing, but that was explained well by the receptionist. The first tooth came out fine but then he noticed a strange pattern in my heartbeat and postponed the operation because he was concerned. Once that was out of the way I got my second tooth out with no problems. Before my third tooth, I was sick, so we postponed due to concerns of infection. The third tooth was impacted and required some extra effort to remove, but it came out and I was happy with the results. He does have a dry personality, but he did make an effort to remember me and strike up conversation. My advice: if you are nervous around dentists just let him know beforehand or go elsewhere if you need to. If you choose Dr. Dines I believe he will get the job done, even if it's not the best experience.

I apparently am not the only one who had the experience I did. I was supposed to be knocked out to get my wisdom teeth pulled but when I got there he just "decided not to". Novocain didn't work on one side of mouth and when I told him that, he said it was "just pressure" that I was feeling. No. I could feel every bit of him digging my tooth out. I don't know what he did, but it took me a full TWO WEEKS to recover. I was never scared of dentists before but he really ruined that for me. Absolutely awful.

Unbelievably rude, dismissive and gross. My primary dentist referred me for a consult to have 4 wisdom teeth pulled under sedation. The consult was shocking because the oral surgeon behaved so unprofessionally. He kept insisting that it would be a hassle to pull my teeth and said he decided it was unnecessary. He actually said I could live with the pain and just go on with my life until they became infected! His nurse apologized for his behavior. His rude and hostile behavior was so shocking coming from a morbidly obese man who smelled unwashed. It seems logical that someone with his condition would try to compensate by being as professional as possible to make up for his unsettling body odor. I scheduled my oral surgery elsewhere. I cannot trust a person to safely perform surgery on me when that person displays so little regard for his own health and hygiene combined with open hostility toward potential clients. That's not someone who will prioritize a patient's well being.

I had two wisdom teeth removed under sedation and I am happy with the results and my experience. The office is dated, but clean and welcoming. The doctor did not have the best bedside manners, but was not rude. The office is very timely, the day of my extraction I was called in five minutes before my appointment time and the whole process was completed quickly. The nurses were friendly, explained everything that was going on, and answered any questions I had. I have had no complications from surgery and did not feel the doctor was too rough.

I have sever panic and anxiety disorder. The staff was so good to me waited for me between attacks. Now i Know there is a lot of neg post but my guess they are all from when dr Bergman was the Dr. This newer guy is freakin awsome. Comming from someone who hates dentist

Horrible, very rude and not happy people. Nobody should ever go here. For starters the doctors don't know what they're doing they pulled my son's wrong teeth out 2 years ago in the teeth are still in his face and they were too scared to pull them out period. Talk about unprofessional doctors very disrespectful been waiting for me to return a phone call from me and I still haven't heard from him and probably never going to. That's okay cuz the University of Rochester is where I'm going and they're very nice and good people and they know what they're doing

Dr. Dines pulled a bad tooth for me and everything went as expected. They provided topical numbing gel before the lidocaine injection. I advised Dr. Dines I would require additional lidocaine as I was not as numb as I should have been based on him telling me where I should feel numbness. His nurse was very friendly and helpful. Once he began the extraction he asked me several times if I was doing ok. The extraction was done in two minutes. His staff provided after care instructions. I left and went to pick up my prescription before I went home and it had already been called in and I just had to wait for pharmacy to fill it.
