Dr. Bart Samuelson DDS was raised in Keystone S.D. and graduated from Philip High School in 1989. Dr Samuelson graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry with the degree Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006. While attending UNMC,Dr. Bart Samuelsonreceived many honorary awards for his work with dental implants, practice management, dental research and high academic standing.

Dr. Bart Samuelson is committed to his patients, by keeping up to date on the latest techniques and newest technologies. He enjoys all aspects of patient care especiallycosmetic dentistry. His professional skills combined with his warmth, sense of humor and abundance of energy help to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Dr. Samuelson is involved in many organizations such as; The American Dental Association, Black Hills District Dental Society, Academy of Osseointigration, Give Kids a Smile Program, CHIPS Identification Program,South Dakota Dental Association, along with many other community organizations.

Dr. Samuelson is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys; fishing, hunting, boating, cycling and the beautiful Black Hills. He is extremely excited about returning to Rapid City to give his patients and the community excellent dental care.

1993-2002 Dr. Samuelson worked as a registered dental hygienist. This amazing opportunity allowed Dr. Samuelson to gain valuable knowledge on how a dental office works, and also solidified his love and passion for dentistry.

Dr. Samuelson has owned Black Hills Area Dental since purchasing the office in 2006. Dr. Samuelson grew up in Keystone South Dakota then moved to Philip South Dakota in the 7th grade where he graduated in 1989.

Dr. Samuelson loved growing up on the farm and ranch where he spent a lot of his time hunting, riding motorcycles and spending time with his friends and neighbors. Dr. Samuelson has always been grateful for the hard work ethic that coming from a farm and ranch instilled in him

After graduation Dr. Samuelson attended the University of South Dakota where he received his BS in dental hygiene. After receiving his dental hygiene degree Dr. Samuelson worked as a dental hygienist for seven years and decided that he wanted to attend dental school. He finished his dental school education and graduated with honors in 2006 from the University of Nebraska while attending dental school dr. Samuelson met his lovely wife nicole. In 2009 Nicole and Dr. Samuelson were married and they now reside in Spearfish with their four children (two boys and two girls).Ryker, Brekken, Joey and Jerzee.

In 2015 Dr. Samuelson found out he was having triplets. His team remembers how scared he was when he came back from the ultrasound and remembers the doctor saying I see one, two (pause) 3 heartbeatsDr. Samuelson said Are you sure? Dr. Samuelson said he was terrified almost like taking his boards in dental school. Now he cant imagine his life without any of them. Dr. Samuelson loves being a dad and a husband and spending time with his family. Dr. Samuelson is an avid Harley-Davidson Enthusiast, love to hunt and more than anything is a passionate Nebraska Huskers fan. Go Big Red!
