At Bitty Bites Pediatric Dentistry, we strive to deliver outstanding service to every patient, every time you visit. Our staff will provide you and your family with the compassionate, dependable dental care you deserve. From our relaxed, state-of-the-art office to our sincere, attentive staff, our goal is to help your child achieve the brightest, healthiest smile.
She attended the College of William & Mary for her BS in Biology, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry for her DDS, and completed two additional years of study at the University of Illinois at Chicago for her specialty degree in pediatric dentistry as well as her masters degree in Oral Sciences. Throughout her career and during her studies, she has focused on preventative dentistry and loves sharing this passion and knowledge with parents and patients. She works hard to make sure each patient is comfortable and has received the Best Bedside Manner in Pediatric Dentistry award as 2nd place in 2018 and honorable mention in 2019 with the Our Health Virginia Magazine.
She lives in Richmond with her fianc and her three rescue dogs: Jackson (Boston terrier), Bear (Boston terrier), and Mia (greyhound). In her spare time, you can find her running 5Ks or doing spin classes, doing home improvement projects and stained glass projects, volunteering with animal rescue agencies, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. North is a board-certified pediatric dentist and diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Richmond Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
What is your favorite part of working at Bitty Bites?Working with pleasant staff makes coming in to work every day enjoyable. When the work gets tough, I can turn to my favorite coworker, Bear, for some puppy love!
Adopted from the James River Greyhounds rescue in 2017, Mia was a race dog in Pensacola, Florida, for the first 3 years of her life. She is 5 now and is enjoying the retired life! She is the calmest dog we know and loves to be lazy all day long! She has passed multiple obedience and tricks classes, although she couldn't master the riding the skateboard trick. She loves low-energy activities like letting kids read books to her. We are now working on her Canine Good Citizen certification and will then work on her Therapy Dog Certification with the AKC-recognized Alliance of Therapy Dogs. You will see her in the office closer to summer!

This is the best pediatric Dental office I have ever been to in my life. My daughter has been to quite a few dentists which have really traumatized her And this time we came to bitty bites. We had an AMAZING experience and they went above and beyond to make sure my daughter had the best care. This was the first place she didn't have to be put to sleep just for a check or cleaning. She loved that they had therapy dogs their and that they had tvs for the children to watch. They explained everything in detail with her so she was more prepared and comfortable. I love the fact they don't make the kids bite down on those really uncomfortable plastic pieces for xrays which helped. And they allowed her to get on the 21 day challenge for flossing to get a pop it if she completed it. They were AMAZING. They also listened to my concerns and I love that they have pediatrics diamonds that they can put on their teeth its super cure and AFFORDABLE! I ABSOLUTELY SUGGEST COMING HERE BEFORE GOING ANYWHERE ELSE!

My son dislikes the dentist and we never had a good experience until today. He had a good experience and our hygienist was patient with him and showed him her tools to help him understandwhat she was doing. Even when he was getting fuzzy she stayed calmed and change approach. The front desk person was also nice. Overall good experience!

Update: I have now been coming here for about 3 years with all my kids and it is always such a wonderful experience. Dr. North and her staff are just simply amazing. My 2 year old chipped a big portion of her front tooth off just 2 weeks before Christmas. After getting terrible news from her regular dentist I just knew there had to be more options. I searched and search and called multiple places, and finally found bitty bites and took her in for a second opinion. Not only was every staff member a complete joy, they did great with my daughter and fixed her tooth right there without putting her under or using gas or even numbing! They were amazing and made my Christmas! Highly recommend!! I am switching all my kids over to Bitty bites!

Special shout out and thank you to Dr. North, Nicole(dental assistant) and Bear(therapy dog) we were out in less than 35 minutes. My daughter had to be on laughing gas. They were very informative about the process and what they would be doing. Even though she was being treated they still took the time to let my daughter (6) know what they would be doing what tool they would use and the sound before performing treatment. The experience was comfortable.

My son is 2.5 and had his first dental appointment here. He fussed and cried a little (which would have happened anywhere), but I felt like Bitty Bites had lots of things to help distract him and make the experience better. I always feel a little guilty when my kid has a meltdown in public, but the staff didn't judge me at all and were very sympathetic to my son

Each member of the staff made my 2 year old feel comfortable! Very patient with her even when she wasn't cooperating any longer, they took their time and worked with her versus making her just do it (as we've experienced before) She absolutely loved seeing the therapy dog as an added bonus!
