As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Sams additional 2 years of training makes her uniquely qualified to treat little smiles, and our clinic environment makes it fun for kids of all ages. Dr. Sam opened Bitesize with a vision to provide quality, affordable care to the children of Alaska.
Wefocus on education and prevention to help teach children and their caregivers how to maintain healthy smiles. When a child does need treatment, we actively work with parents to help them understand their options, and are firm believers in not performing unnecessary work.
Here at Bitesize every patient is treated as if they were our own child. As a mother herself, Dr. Sam understands that raising a child is the most important job in the world and she is dedicated to providing the best care possible. Our team will always explain all treatment options and will help you make the best decision for your child's oral health.

Everyone at the practice is so kind and accommodating! It makes going to the dentist fun for my kid and pleasant for me. I highly recommend Bitesize!

Just a heads up. Take control of your schedules instead of trusting your clinic to do it. Bitesize billed us $274 for cleaning and two other things that United Concordia didnt pay cause we were seen less than 6 months which is not supposed to. Busy settling in and moving that didnt occur to me, and just trusted them to schedule us last July for a regular check up thinking our insurance will cover it with no problems ahead and knowing our finances. Never missed the part too that before or on scheduling at least I authorize a Release of Information digitally from the previous dental practice we've been (which helps in seeing when was the last time we are seen). Tho I reached out to them and Josh from their billing told me he will down the payment to $100 instead which is ok, no choice we still have to pay it either way. I have always trusted my dental offices, but this is the first time I have experienced this and considering I really like the dentist in bitesize also and how they handled giving anesthesia to my son, superb! I give 10 stars to that. I'm just a little disappointed that they missed this important info before giving us a schedule.

We love Bitesize, their clinic is very kids-friendly. My child love his dentist, Dr. Sam, especially her hygienist Drew who gives full attention and interact with her patient. She is always very patient and and makes connections. My child is very comfortable with them and looks forward for his appointment always!

Took my 1 year old here for her first exam and cleaning. The office and staff were very welcoming. They explained the whole process and made my child feel comfortable. Would absolutely recommend to anyone with small children!

This was my sons first experience at the dentist and it was great! The front staff was kind and friendly and talked to my son. The hygienist was super calm and did a great job keeping my son comfortable. She gave me a lot of good info on helping keeping his teeth clean/healthy that is doable with little kids. The office itself is very open and has so many things kid related to keep kids occupied. The dentist was also kind and friendly! Happy I found it!

Dr. Sam does great with my son who has Trisomy 21, which comes with its own set of dental challenges, including delays in tooth growth. She's very familiar with the circumstances related to his diagnosis and very good with the kids in general. She always has good suggestions on how to help with brushing and tips to keep his teeth healthy. She works fast, which is great because my son doesn't like his head touched and gets very fussy.

Took my very shy two year old to the dentist for the first time and she did great. Dr. Sam was super patient and was so kind to my girl. The whole experience was very positive. My daughter loved all the toys.

My kids love going here. Video games in the waiting room, Netflix on the ceiling during cleanings, friendly hygienists and Dr Sam! Never had a bad experience at Bitesize.

My 14 month old had an awesome experience there! They have toys and a huge toothbrush for the baby to play with and become comfy. There's a mat that they put the baby on and share him from my lap to the Dr's so you're holding him. He only had one tiny tear through it all and was happy smiling laughing when we left!! My little man has 6 teeth in and is already getting molars, she put my mind at ease saying everything was normal for him and no cavities good healthy gums! Thank you, Dr. Sam!!
