Dr. John Bisson grew up in Sturgis, South Dakota. He attended South Dakota State University and was a four-year member of the Jackrabbit Swimming & Diving team where he met his wife, Alexandra. After graduating from SDSU with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry, John attended Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska.
Following the birth of their first child in 2015, John and Alex moved back to South Dakota to be closer to their families. John worked as an associate dentist for two years in Mitchell prior to owning Bisson Dental in Brookings. John and Alex now have two children, Jackson and Avery. In their free time, John and his family love to cheer on the Jackrabbits, travel, and spend time outdoors. They are ecstatic to bring their young family back to the Brookings community where their story began many years ago.

Due to the caring and warm atmosphere from being greeted when we arrived to time in the chair, both of my children had great checkups and cleanings. Thank you, Dr. Bisson and staff for making going to the dentist something to look forward to and not fear!

Very pleasant receptionist. The hygienist, Tara, was very nice and seemed genuinely interested in my care. She gave me good advice on dental care and explained everything well. Dr. Bisson was very pleasant and I thought the experience was very positive.

Maria was great! Very friendly and informative regarding dental health all while getting me in and out in 45 minutes for my 6 month cleaning and check-up. Kudos to Bisson Dental!

Both my 10 year olds had to have 4 teeth pulled. Everyone at Bisson Dental was really nice and neither child was scared. They checked up on us afterward to make sure everything was going well. Great family dentist!

We love Bisson Dental! Everyone at the office, from the front desk staff to the hygienists to Dr. Bisson, is thorough, kind, and wonderful about explaining findings, plan of care and answering questions. We are so grateful for Dr. Bisson's attention to detail and preventative care, but appreciative of his conservative nature as well. By far, the best dental clinic we've been to!
