Dr. Bissells practice has earned praise from patients and peers alike for over 30 years. His artistic skill and expertise in cosmetic dentistry is second to none. Dr. Bissell received his degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Texas at Houston and continues to attend numerous continuing education programs devoted to the specialty of restorative dentistry.
He also continues to distinguish himself with his extensive dental knowledge, the range of capabilities and expertise in cosmetic dentistry, much of which he acquired while attending the prestigious Foundation for Advanced Dental education in Burlingame, California.
Dr. Bissell is a current member and has served as past president of both the Denver Dental Forum and the Denver Cherry Creek Rotary through which he participates in annual missions to provide no-cost dentistry to the underprivileged.
Dr. Bissell is a current member of The Rocky Mountain Osseointegration Implant Study Club, American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Metropolitan Denver Dental Society and The Pierre Fauchard Academy Honor Society.
In the years since he first began his private practice in 1977, Dr. Bissell has established himself as one of the most preeminent dentists in Denver having helped hundreds of patients improve their smiles and oral health. Dr. Bissell uses his unique sensibility for aesthetic and design combined with technical skill and precision to create radiant, healthy and beautiful smiles for all of his patients.
The below images are of a patient that was very unhappy with the size and length of her lateral incisors (teeth on both sides of her two front teeth). Porcelain Laminate Veneers were used to create her new smile.
This gentleman was concerned with the aesthetics of his front tooth, this tooth had been treated with root canal therapy and crowned. It was ill-shaped and very yellow in comparison to the surrounding teeth. We first used Zoom in office whitening before placing a new porcelain crown.

Dr Bissell has been my dentist since moving to Denver in 2017 and he and his team have always been terrific. Whether it's routine cleaning or addressing an issue, they are very friendly and professional. The entire crew and Bissell Dental Group are fantastic. When I walk in, I feel like I am a part of their community. Dr. Bissell and Patti take their time ti make sure your teeth are taken care of. The cleanings are thorough and the unfortunate time I had a cavity, I was cared for and put to ease. Highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Bissell has been my dentist for a number of years now and I can't say enough great things about him and his practice. I got really tired of a large practice that really just seemed to want to drill and fill and I was lucky to find a small, individual practice, which I much prefer. The whole staff is friendly and everyone does a wonderful job. Highly recommend!

Dr. Bissell and his staff is One of the best dentist in Colorado. I visited Bissell for excruciating pain from a tooth. Bissell examined me and explained all my options . I express which option I wanted to go with and Bissell recommended Dr. Patterson. Dr. Bissell staff were so professional and caring. When I expressed what I was experiencing with one of my teeth, they got me in for an appointment without 2 hours. Amazing professionalism shown for clearing out his calendar to see me. Dr. Bissell and his staff "Rock". Dr. Bissell recommended Dr. Patterson because he knew I needed an Oral surgeon and highly recommended Patterson. When I called Dr. Patterson's office and mentioned Dr. Bissell's name as the Dr who suggested I go to Dr. Patterson. Patterson's staff made things happen. Both of these Dentist are "Rock Stars". Great office. Even greater staff. The time finally came to remove my wisdom teeth, Dr Bissell referred me out to a dental surgeon who also did great work however accidentally broke an existing crown in the process. Dr Bissell took care of it as soon as I was healed up enough, zero pain involved.

I've been going to Dr. Bissell for >20 years. Always excellent care, caring staff. I had a broken tooth and he worked me in at the end of the day even though it mean he stayed til 6pm

Dr. Bissell and his team are amazing. Everyone in office is extremely organized and helpful. They got me into the office and in the dental chair right away. Dr. Bissell was super thorough in assessing my teeth, listening to me and advocating what was best for my teeth. Also seeing the team's interprofessional teamwork was nice. You can tell everyone in the office really cares about their patients...and they like their jobs If you need a good dental office, this is it!
