Dental implants are a great choice for many people when they lose teeth or need a tooth replacement. Dental implants offer an option to help prevent excessive tooth decay and bone loss. While there are many positive things about dental implants, there are also several drawbacks of dental implants. Before getting dental implants, consider the pros and cons in order to make sure that it is the right choice for your particular situation.

Bismarck Advanced Dental and Implants - General dentist in Bismarck, ND

One of the drawbacks of dental implants is that a dental implant requires getting surgery in order to place the implant. The dental implant has to be fixed to your jawbone in order for it to serve its purpose. There is the potential for complications to appear during any sort of surgery, so it is important to consider that when thinking about dental implants.

Obviously, dental implants are implemented when there is an issue with a missing tooth, or in the hopes of preventing issues occuring in the future. However, there are times when people have lost teeth because of decay in the jawbone. If this is the case, there will have to be an evaluation of your jawbone to determine whether it will be suitable for getting a dental implant. The jawbone will need to be healthy in order to support the dental implant.

Many times, dental implants are also uncovered by dental insurance. If you are relying on dental insurance to get dental implants, it would be important to keep in mind that oftentimes dental implants are not covered. Make sure to check with your insurance before getting dental implants to find out whether or not they would be covered.

They are a waste of time & Do Not offer all of the treatments as advertised. In fact they seem to be only interested in transplants & or anyone who has $30,000 to $65,000 to toss away. I left in tears, in more despair than before & they managed to take more of my desire to see another day. Good luck to anyone who thinks they care.

UPDATE!!!!! After I started having pain in some teeth he still choose to ignore it. Was told that I would need 5 pulled. I asked for one to be pulled now cuz it was supper bad hurt to move jaw was told no to wait and have them pulled." Almost a months later". Then I had my front tooth witch was cracked and slowly geting .Was told on three different appointments that they would be next and it was always something... i how ever was late to one appointment tried calling 30 min before scedualed appointment no answers was then belittled after I got into my chair. Fine what ever I was late I'll take it.. then I had to call and cancle an appointment my dad went into surgery and they used that aginst me. My last appointment was 4 min late and he again wasn't going to fix the front one I was scedual for that changed sometime between Passat visit and current. Was told to my face I wasted 1/5 of this appointment. I was so upset that he wasn't going to do it and so I asked why not the front ones he said I never said I was going to do the front ones "calling me a lier basically " so I was balling in tears so I left. Very nice. So far good work. My teeth feel better and not all rough after my last dentist.

Dentist and hygienist were friendly, nice and caring. The receptionist needs to learn to respect someone who is intellectually slow and makes a mistake.

I very rarely, if ever, write a review, but in this case, im proud to say here I am, writing a review. From the second I walked into the Bismarck Advanced Dental and Implants, I was pulled into their kindnesses and care, the professionalism and dedication, in every area. Each step of the process brought a greater respect and a deeper devotion. To date, I think I just may be the worst case and candidate for anything dental, in the history thereof. But they saw it as an opportunity to help me find my smile. Something of which, I never thought could be found. Smirk, yes. , grin, sure, in pictures. Though our journey isn't complete, yet, I am looking forward to the end result. To Dr Derek and your staff, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I know I tested the strength of your continued education, but I am so very thankful you did it. ...and the silent prayer???!!!??? It shows in the work you've done for me, thus far. Stay tuned for additional reviews. Got back from Bismarck Advanced Dental and Implants. These folks have been a great support. There may be some minor sacrifices in regard to food choice, but if listening to direction, its a few short months. Im so excited for my next appointment that i can hardly contain myself. Bye, for now. You gotta know, that the folks at Bismarck Advanced Dental and Implants are as top notch as it gets. These folks have gone above and beyond any expectation I could have imagined. I'm so excited to tell you,,,,I have a smile,,,with teeth showing,,,I have a laughter, ,,that was fun to hear for myself. Not hearing it for the first time in a long long time, at first I wasn't sure it was even me. I'd forgotten how it sounded. Even how it felt. You guys, I can't say enough about these folks. They are all professionals, they support one another and challenge each other to do and be better at their craft. I cried like a child the first time I smiled at myself in the mirror. I just can't get over how this journey is turning out. I could go on all day, but I know you're busy, too. If you can take away anything from this review, let it be this, these folks are incredible. If a smile is what you want, you'll get a lot of theirs, but then they'll turn around and give you, yours. To keep, for a lifetime. How cool is that!!

I needed some emergency dental care and my regular dentist was on a 10 day vacation. Dr. Chris worked me into his schedule at the last moment so I would not be in pain over the weekend. Everyone in the office was so kind. I highly recommend Dr. Chris!
