Dr. Bishop received his dental degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C, in 1991. After graduation, he took over his fathers dental practice that had been established in 1962 by his father, who was the Chief Board Examiner for the District of Columbia.

He has received advanced training to provide the care and services to his patients. He then received advanced training at Howard University Residence Program in Implant Dentistry. Dr. Bishop has been placing and restoring implants for more than 20 years.

Dr. Bishop maintains a private dental office focusing on comprehensive cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. He practices comprehensive dentistry in a relationship-based setting. This focus is not only on dental care but also on the emotional needs of the patients.

Worst dentist I have ever been to in my life. I wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy. Everyone in my family has had bad experiences with them. Me personally I started as Dr Bishops ( the husband) patient but his schedule was busy so I went to his wife. I thought they were a team so it'll be fine but boy was I wrong. I sat in the chair as she bad mouth him and his work as if her and I were friends or I wasn't there. I had to get a cap placed on a tooth and the dental assistant shoved it on BACKWARDS which hurt and caused the crown to break. That then caused them to have to order a new one and me wait for that to get in. After that experience I told Mrs. Bishop I didn't want that assistant in my mouth ever again. She then put the crown in herself the correct way. I later tried to book an appointment with her and she was booked but her husband had an opening so I booked with him. Shortly after I got a call from her telling me that I'm HER patient and that they don't work on the same patients (as if I wasn't his patient first). She cleared time in her schedule to accommodate me but again the husband/wife dynamic was horrible. My family and I haven't been in their office in over 2yrs but are still paying for the horrible dental work done by them. My sister has recently had to have her whole canine tooth removed because of the horrible work done by Mr. Bishop. As I said in the beginning I wouldn't refer ANYONE to this practice at all. Only thing that I did like about the practice was one dental tech but I'm pretty sure he is gone as he was trying to leave while I was a patient.

My mother has been coming to bishops since 1998. She last saw the bishops in 2017. The practice suddenly no longer has her file. Dr. Bishop gave her a serious infection which resulted in a trip to the ER. BY LAW the practice must keep my mothers records for 7years. My mom has had thousands of dollars of work done because of the harm and not once have they offered to pay for the resulting work or fixed her mouth. We will continue to contact the practice until her files are released. We believe the files are not being released because they show that Dr. bishop knew and was too careless to act in another manner.

Dr. Bishop has been my primary dentist for a number of years. I was very impressed with him at our first meeting more than 10 years ago. I highly recommend him and his outstanding dental team.

Dr. David and Dorienne Bishop are a great dental team. They are exceptional . While she has treated me, Dr Bishop had been my main doctor over the years, root canal, fillings, extraction and just recently surgery to build up bone around my implant. He stays on top of the latest dental procedures and equipment. He explains it all and post X-rays on board to go over any procedure . He even has any genre of music you may want to hear while in his chair. Accessible by SS Metro and public garage parking-in back of the building. Park upper level, walk out through Sheraton and make a left and office next door.

Very professional! Dr. David Bishop is understanding to the patient's feelings and anxiety. He's friendly and always educates the patient as to the procedure as he performs it. I have been a patient for 20 years and strongly recommend this dental practice to others.

I was referred to Dr. David Bishop when my tooth cracked right before the holidays. His staff is friendly, and accommodated my emergency appointment. As an older woman, I've always been nervous about dental work, but Dr. Bishop explained everything in detail and approached all of the work efficiently, and kept me comfortable and pain-free. Awful experience with this office. I booked a first appointment 10 days in advance and then get a call hours before the appointment to tell that they overbooked my spot and could I come in in a week. If I had done that to them they would charge me. The receptionist was not pleasant about the situation either. My advice is to go elsewhere that is more reliable.

If I could give this place negative reviews I would for employing a racist named Dianna F. She uses racial slurs against black people and black children (please see image below). Seeing as how the owner of this establishment is a black man and many of the staff are people of color I would expect this issue to be dealt with as it is getting a lot of social media attention. I will also be calling the owner of this establishment and speaking to him about this matter as I will ask my 10k followers on social media to do so as well. This type of racist employee being able to represent this business is unacceptable!
