I have been practicing in the same Phillipsburg location since 1985. I graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry in 1983 and completed a General Practice Residency at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. I am a member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Academy of Laser Dentistry and the Lehigh Valley Dental Study Club, and I am a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. I have obtained both advanced proficiency with the erbium: YAG laser and standard proficiency in the diode laser from the Academy of Laser Dentistry. I am certified in Branemark implant prosthetics. I maintain active dental licenses in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
I enjoy both cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry (rebuilding the bite). In recent years, the practice of laser dentistry has been very exciting and has become a passion. In 2010 I purchased a CEREC CAD CAM machine which allows me to fabricate beautiful all porcelain crowns in one visit. I treat every patient in the same manner that I would like to be treated myself.
My wife, Roslyn, and I have been married since 1980. We have one son, Max; and a cairn terrier named James. In my spare time, I like to ski, golf, bike, travel, read, go to the movies, and talk sports and politics with anyone who will listen.

I have know Dr. Birnbaum for many years and he is a dentist who deeply cares about his patients. He has an awesome staff working with him and they are extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend this office.

One of the friendliest dental offices and business offices in the area,overall!! The other offices in the area could take a cue from them I have visited the office recently for the first time to get my teeth cleaned and checked out and the personnel could not be more nicer. The dental hygienist was very thorough and made me relaxed by light conversation and cracking a joke or two. High 5!

I left a voicemail at 230am with excruciating tooth pain from an impacted wisdom tooth. They returned my call 6 hours later as soon as they opened and I was In the chair by 930am. Tooth removed and out the door by 1030am. Great calm atmosphere as well! I will be returning for regular dental hygiene. You guys saved me today!!!!! Thank you again!!!

I always receive excellent treatment from Dr. Birnbaum and his staff. Everyone is pleasant and professional. He has gone above and beyond with our family. For example he left from a wedding reception on the weekend to deal with a painful condition of my oldest daughter.

I moved to Lopatcong almost 5 years ago and have bounced around to a new dentist multiple times. Each time is worse than the last until I found this magical place! The people are SO wonderful, from the front desk staff all the way to Dr. Birnbaum. I specially want to shout out Ginni. She did my cleaning and I felt like a real person, she listened to my concerns, spent time with me, charted and made me feel like I had known her forever. I have a terrible reaction to the ultrasonic cleaner near my wisdom teeth and no one has ever acknowledged it before Ginni. I already told my husband this will be our new place and I'm so grateful!

I had an emergency visit this past Monday morning because I needed a cap on a back molar. Dr. Birnbaum saw me right away and did a brilliant job on my tooth. Not only was I done in 2 hours (that Cerec machine is amazing) but my tooth looks great and my bite is perfect...He checks everything again and again, so when you walk out of that office, you are happy and can eat anything by the afternoon!!! The staff is wonderful too. They have been there forever...like a big wonderful family who are actually happy to see you.

Birnbaum Dentistry is the best. Everyone there is friendly and they make you feel comfortable. I just had to have a crown put in and it was such a good experience. Highly recommend them!
