As an orthodontist, I value the opportunity to meet and build relationships with my patient family. It is rewarding, to me, to witness the changes each patient experiences as they move from feeling self-conscious about their teeth to smiling with confidence. I appreciate being part of that process and knowing Im making a positive difference in each persons life.
I enjoy having two practice locations, in Birmingham and Milford, and that each serves a vibrant community. My team is equally as enthusiastic about both offices and share my focus on patient well-being. They are friendly and caring, always striving to make our patients feel safe, informed, and excited about their treatment experience.
Every year, Dr. Vaitas completes numerous hours of continuing orthodontic education. He takes courses on the latest advances in techniques, technologies, and materials, and attends lectures, seminars, and conferences. He also stays current on research findings by reading many orthodontic and oral healthcare-related journals.
Through continual learning, Dr. Vaitas is able to evaluate new developments and determine which are best suited for his patients. His goal is to provide the highest quality of clinical care and deliver the best treatment experience. Continuing education is key to his and your success.
Dr. Vaitas grew up in Birmingham and is happy to live here with his wife Val and three daughters. The familys favorite hours are spent at their vacation home onCape Cod. Dr. Vaitas loves the outdoors: running, boating, fishing, and remote wilderness camping.
Dr. Vaitas enjoys being engaged with local events, activities, and organizations. He sponsors many events through local schools, supports the Oral Cancer Foundation Annual Walk/Run, and serves as chair on the City of Birmingham Advisory Parking Committee.

I love seeing the transformation of our patients throughout treatment: not only their teeth and smile, but their pride and confidence at completion. Seeing an adult patient who has waited so long for a smile they love is truly amazing!
I started out as the sterilization tech in our office. Later, I was trained as Dr. Vaitass clinical assistant. NowI love my role as anoffice manager. I coordinate treatment starts, manage the patient flow, and handle insurance submission, marketing, and PR. Im busy, but never too busy to chat with a patient!
Raised in Birmingham, I moved to the Caribbean after high school and met my husband Teddie there. We have two boys, Tristan and Adam, plus a dog, a turtle, and several fish. I enjoy supporting my boys school functions and activities, taking on home-improvement projects, gardening, and spending time at our family home on Higgins Lake.
Im newly married to my wonderful husbandPete. We live in Clarkston with our fur baby, Gatlin, a German Shorthaired Pointer. My three daughters have blessed me with seven beautiful grandkids. I enjoy our home on the lake and all it has to offer and spend as much time as possible with my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, crafting, and party planning.
I really like regularly seeing and talking with our patients. Its fun to get to know them during treatment and see how each person changes in that time. Everyone is thrilled with the beautiful smile they achieve!
I work at both of our offices: assisting Dr. Vaitas with different orthodontic procedures. Working chairside, I take X-rays and impressions and help the doctor with placing braces, wire changes and, best of all, removing braces!
Much of my free time is spent with mythree kids. I enjoy watching my sonplay football, seeing my daughter cheer, and keeping up with my toddler. I also like time with family and friends, enjoy cake and cupcake decorating projects, and participating in walking/running fundraising events, including Warrior Dash and Oral Cancer Walk/Run.
I enjoy seeing how a patients perception of themselves changes as their smile improves. When a person goes from feeling uncomfortable because of their teeth to having great self-esteem and confidence, Im happy for them!
I assist Dr. Vaitas with placing and removing braces,impressions, wire changes, and taking orthodontic and Invisalign records. I also review instructions with patients on all fixed and removable appliances, update parents on their childs progress, take X-rays, and order operatory supplies for both offices.
My husband Barry and I have been married for more than 25 years. We have a Yorkie named Hogan. Weenjoytime at our cottage throughout the year as well as traveling, attending Tigers and Lions games, and spending time at the D.A.C. I also enjoy being the chef at home,helping Barry with his catering business, and volunteering with charities in Oakland and Macomb Counties.
My dog, Mocca, is my favorite thing in the whole world. I dont have time for many hobbies right now, because Im working two jobs and attending college. When I do have free time, I spend it with loved ones and close friends.
Our smiles are a core part of our lives. How we feel about our appearance affects our self-esteem and the confidence with which we greet the world. A smile is the first thing we notice when meeting someone new and how we connect with others.
Ours is a single-doctor practice thats served the community since 1996. Dr. Vaitas will personally oversee every step of your treatment and is always available even after hours to answer questions and provide assistance.
We are not a high-volume orthodontic factory; instead, we take time to learn what you want from treatment and to understand your concerns. Well spend a lot of time talking with and getting to know you, to builda trusting bond based on open communication and personal respect.
For Dr. Vaitas and our staff, orthodontics is more than improving oral health and changing smiles; its an opportunity to develop friendships with those in our care, relationships that go beyond provider and patient.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vaitas and his staff. This practice is highly personal and professional. My consultation with Dr. Vaitas was very thorough; I totally understood my treatment plan, the results I should expect and my payment plan. Dr. Vaitas has a very calm bedside manner and his staff are wonderful-everyone is very patient, friendly and understanding. Best of all, my results were more than I expected. I no longer wake up with jaw pain, I can chew with no discomfort and I am no longer self-conscious of my smile. I highly recommend Dr. Vaitas; you will not be disappointed.

As an adult at the age of 33 I got braces for some corrective and bite assistance. I highly recommend this team of professionals! He was recommended by my dentist. We booked a consult, office was easy to find.. they, I believe take up both floors,decent sized office, clean, and professional. Staff seemed friendly. After booking a few other consultations with other orthodontist in the area we decided his preliminal recommendations did not suit our view of what we wanted for our child. We will be going else where, however his price points are better then most. I am considering coming in for a consult for myself as I am in need of replacement retainers. Thank you!

I started my ortho adventure back in February and was extremely nervous! Dr. Vaitas is so great though that becoming comfortable was easy! He has an incredible bed side manner, along with an extremely friendly and helpful team! I even have an overly sensitive mouth and they did everything in their power to make it less uncomfortable. The hours of the office are even convenient! Highly recommend setting up your first appointment, you won't regret it!

We love Dr. Vaitas & staff. Always clean, professional & friendly. Never have to wait beyond appointment time. Flexible scheduling. Very reasonable cost & zero interest payment plans. Dr. V has a dual degree in mechanical engineering & DDS. My son's horrible jaw alignment was corrected without surgery or removal of molars, and teeth are still perfect 2 years after braces came off. Next up is my daughter!

I have three kids in braces so we're at this office or on the phone with them on a very regular basis. Everyone here is truly a pleasure to work with - so kind, helpful and accommodating every time. As for my kids, there's been virtually no discomfort with their braces. We're very happy we chose this orthodontist and his staff and highly recommend them!!
