Dr. Kirses focus in on preventative and minimally invasive dentistry. With him, providing straightforward communication and quality dental care is a priority. His goal is to ensure every patient achieves and maintains overall mouth health.
Dr. Kirse enjoys being competitive. He loves hiking, football, basketball, baseball, golf, bowling, cornhole, and board games. He is a big time Portland Trailblazers fan. He has 2 golden retrievers named Remi and Murray. He also has a cat named Corbin.
'I graduated from ISU with a Bachelor 's of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2019. Growing up I always knew I wanted to be part of the medical field. It wasn 't until college that I discovered that dentistry was the path for me. My favorite part about working in dentistry is helping people feel more confident in their smile. I also enjoy getting to know my patients. With the great team we have here at Birchwood Dental, we 'll make you feel right at home!'

Been getting dental care continously since a child, and now at 64 I have to be sure to include care for my gums. Like everything else, the cost of dental care keeps rising and locally with the influx of people there seems to be a shortage of available dentists, too. When I found Birchwood (through reviews and their online site), they had a waiting list. On the list I went and only had to wait a few months. Located in a small strip mall, it's easy to miss, but very close to my home. Been there twice for x-rays and cleanings. Evan was my hygenists both times and he does an excellent job. I love the tv screen on the ceiling as they play netflix's Moving Art. The images are immersive and relaxing. So much so, I started playing it at home. It had been ages since a dentist had checked my teeth at my previous dentist office as he would not be in the office on a regular basis and you had to make a separate appointment from cleaning just to have him check your teeth for a few minutes. Dr. Holdaway checked my teeth at the end of each cleaning. Everyone I encountered is friendly and professional from start to finish. Lucky to find this group.

I came here for a 2nd opinion after another dentist quoted 10k of work and they were all super nice. They explained my insurance coverage to me and hopefully over the next few weeks they can fix my mouth and the pain. They answered all my questions and put up with me being a wimp.

Absolutely amazing experience. Everyone was so kind, from the front office to the doctor himself. I normally have very high anxiety at the dentist but I didn't experience that while at my appointment. Thank you all for your kindness.

I had to change my dentist due to insurance changes and I found Birchwood Dental! I have been to Birchwood 3 times and each of my visits have been great. Dr. Holdaway and Dr. Kirse are very friendly and knowledgeable. They take the time to listen to and answer my concerns and question. They both have great bedside, well chairside, manners. The dental hygienists are very friendly and make you feel comfortable and at ease. They seem to be very knowledgeable and answer my questions.. I would recommend Birchwood Dental to anyone who is searching for a great Dentist.

Thank you Dr. Holdaway, and Hannah, for taking care of an uncomfortable couple of baby teeth for my nervous young daughter. The process was so quick and easy, and they were very kind and compassionate to her. We were able to get in the same morning we asked for help, and so that was even more amazing. Susan, at the front desk was able to make all of this happen for us, and is so kind and professional in her position, as the face of Birchwood Dental. Thank you all for giving us a great experience. I have a very happy 8 year old, who was so excited about her fixed tooth. We'll be back, and we're not even nervous... :)

They treat me well here. I definitely recommend... Even with one Chiropractor, they are still so kind and efficient. The last 2 times I have gotten adjusted, it has been with Butterworth Good vibes that feel easy to come back to.
