Dr. Lawrence grew up in a small town in southern West Virginia. His family moved to Charleston, WV where he attended a prestigious High School; received his BA in religious studies from West Virginia University, then completed two years of Seminary education in Richmond, VA. Through this period, Dr. Lawrence worked every summer at church camps where he discovered his passion for working with youth.
After Seminary, Dr. Lawrence realized that a career in the dental field, and ultimately orthodontics, was his lifes calling. He completed his DDS at WVU in 2013 and was fortunate enough to be immediately accepted into the graduate orthodontic program also at WVU. He completed his masters degree in 2016 as a board-eligible orthodontic specialist.
Since graduating, Dr. Lawrence has practiced orthodontics in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. He is passionate about creating the perfect, customized smile for all of his patients and says he loves helping people feel confident so they can greet the world smiling. He is very excited to be taking this next step in life to bring smiles to all of the faces here. When Dr. Lawrence isnt building beautiful smiles he enjoys cycling, backpacking, rock climbing, and building computers.

We've had a great experience with Birch River and Dr. Lawrence and his team. My daughter just got her braces off and she looks fantastic. Dr. Lawrence is committed to delivering a beautiful smile and making sure his patients are well served and informed throughout the process. If we had another child going into to braces, we'd certainly be back.

Dr. Lawrence, his assistants and his office staff were phenomenal. Both my daughter and I had our braces done by Dr. Lawrence and we couldn't be more pleased with how our teeth look now. We drive several hours in a day for our appointments and I wouldn't want our orthodontic work done by anyone else! I highly recommend Birch River Orthodontics to anyone considering pediatric or adult orthodontic work....THEY ARE THE BEST!

Dr. Lawrence and the staff have been absolutely amazing to my son and I. Anything that we have needed, they have been there to take care of and help us with. My son's braces just came off today, and the results are way beyond what we were expecting! Dr. Lawrence and his entire staff have taken such amazing care of his teeth, and the entire process from start to finish has been one of the best experiences ever. We could not recommend anyone better than Dr. Lawrence and his entire staff if you or anyone you know needs braces. His smile is absolutely amazing and beautiful! The office was very friendly and warm to my young daughter. She was nervous but spoke to her directly and eased her worries. Staff was kind and knowledgeable. The wait was extremely short. We are looking forward to the relationship with Birch River for her orthodontic care.

Dr. Lawrence and his staff are just fantastic! They take wonderful care of my son, making sure to explain everything ahead of time and answer any questions my son has along the way. We were always able to get an appointment that worked with our busy schedules. And when we had an after hours emergency we were seen quickly!

Dr. Lawrence is very clear and good with kids. Our daughter was only 8 when she got her expander and step 1 braces on and is 9 now that she got them off. He and his staff made her feel comfortable through the process. She never complained about going and if she said something hurt they listened and would give her wax or cut a wire and take her concern seriously. From a scheduling perspective the office is very accommodating and we had no issues getting appointments early or late in days or over lunch so she did not miss a lot of school. We were pleased with our experience and are glad we selected Birch River. When she gets her 2nd set of braces at 11 or 12 she will have the space she needs.

Dr. Lawrence and his staff are fantastic. Not only is the orthodontic care top notch and innovative, but they provide a a great environment that makes even the most nervous of patients (like my 11-year-old daughter) look forward to going in to see them. 10/10 would recommend.

I highly recommend Birch River Orthodontics! We have had a great experience there and my daughter's teeth look fantastic! I only wish I had known about them before my son needed braces because we spent twice as much on his, and his teeth don't look nearly as good as hers do! Plus, the staff at Birch River are amazing and appointments were easy to get and quick!

Everyone in this office is so friendly and welcoming! Dr. Lawrence explains everything, so as a parent I know exactly what to expect which is extremely helpful. They are very flexible with our schedule and we are always seen on time. My daughter is so comfortable in this office and whenever someone asks, always says how nice everyone is. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for an orthodontist.
