Dr. Bryant P. Birch Dr. Bryant P. Birch is a native of Green River Wyoming. He cultivated his passion for dentistry at an early age as he watched his father Dr. D. Wayne Birch, who practiced in Green River from 1974-2011. He graduated from Green River High School in 1995 as a scholar athlete; and he was involved in wrestling, football and track.
Immediately after graduation he gave two years of voluntary service for his church in Guayaquil Ecuador and became fluent in Spanish while living abroad. When he returned in 1997, he began college at BYU-Idaho, got married, and then transferred to Brigham Young University. He graduated in 2002 with a degree in Zoology with an emphasis in human biology. After being accepted to several dental schools, Bryant chose to pursue his dental education at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed the four-year doctorate degree in May of 2006. He was trained in all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry and dental surgery procedures, and earned the Ridder Operative Dentistry award from his professors at Creighton.
Dr. Birch fulfilled his dream of returning to Green River to work his father, Dr. Wayne, in his thriving practice as an associate. In 2011, Dr. Bryant Birch became the owner of Birch Family Dentistry when his father decided to retire. It was bittersweet for Dr. Birch to see his father retire, but it was also a great opportunity to expand the scope of the practice by adding advanced digital technology and procedures to his general dental practice.
Dr. Birch has received extensive training in implant placements and final restorations. In 2013, he added CEREC dentistry, which is the same-day placement of crowns and caps. The office also has a cone beam CT panoramic scanner that enables Dr. Birch to diagnose and treat patients with much greater precision and care. Dr. Birch is a member of the American Dental Association, and the Wyoming Dental Association. Dr. Birch strives to serve in his community as much as possible by sponsoring local sports teams and giving away a smile make over in association with a local radio station every year.
Dr. James Skousen was raised throughout Utah and Idaho Falls, Idaho. He attended both BYU in Idaho and In Utah for his undergraduate studies and then attended the highly acclaimed University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor Michigan for his dental degree. Dr. Skousen enjoys nearly everything adventurous. He loves rockhounding, hiking, camping and taking his jeep out to get lost in the most remote areas possible.
Dr. Skousen loves knowledge and learning and when he is not with his patients he is usually busy with his biotech endeavors. What Dr. Skousen loves the very most is being a family man and father to his four young children. Dr. Skousen has a love for both learning and teaching complex scientific data. His goal is to be the best clinician possible as well as to seek out unique and novel sciences and technologies to improve the overall good of humanity.
When it comes to dentistry, Dr. Skousen believes it is a clinical art. Not only should it be high quality and long lasting but it should also look and feel beautiful and be performed with the least amount of pain possible. Dr. Skousen genuinely cares for your health and wellbeing and will carefully listen to your needs and provide you with the highest level of care.
One of the biggest events for our office is the Dream Smile Make Over, which takes place each year at Christmas time. We work in tandem with our local radio station, www.theradionetwork.net to provide this service to our community. The Radio Network takes all the applications from deserving people in our surrounding area, and then selects a yearly winner based on need, and the persons involvement in community, to give them a new smile! Many entries come flooding in each year, and the task of choosing a winner is very difficult for the radio station. Once a winner is selected, our office, The Radio Network team, and our local online media giant www.SweetwaterNow.com, come together to surprise the recipient at their home or home of a friend. It is a wonderful way to provide service to someone who would not otherwise be able to afford dental care, and the lasting relationships our team builds with the winners are priceless. As a local business, we strive to support area organizations and events as much as we can. We donate to local sports teams from basketball, to baseball, and swimming to support our young athletes. We also strive to be involved in community events from local racing to the fine arts. One artistic event we support is Art on the Green, held every August. Dr. Birch is often one of the artists competing in this fun event!

Two years ago I gave a 5 rating. I have left that review and I'm sad I have to change it. They change your appointment without informing you and 6 months later you now have different appointment times and days. This has happened multiple times in the past (at least 5 times). I could understand it happening once or twice, but not every 6 months. You can show them the appointment card and it doesn't matter. I have done that in the past. They still have amazing dentists and staff, but if they can't get it together why go there and not have your appointment for the day and time you originally scheduled it? I schedule appointments for a reason and I expect them to be on the same day and time I scheduled them, especially without receiving a courtesy call when they choose to change it without consulting me. For this reason, I have changed dentists. It just happened way too many times. I had been a life long customer of either Bryant's or his father my whole life. 2 years ago review-I love giving Birch Family Dental my business and enjoy their fun, kind, and caring staff. Again they have the most friendly and knowledgeable staff! They have always done an outstanding job!

Birch is the best. I get a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist and I've been with Birch for like 7 or 8 years now because I feel much more at ease. Dental hygienists have all been thorough and fantastic.

Highly recommend. We were here from out of town and they were able to squeeze my daughter in for a really bad tooth ache. They went above and beyond to do what needed to be done for my daughter. Very friendly and caring staff and dentist.

I'm always taken care of and given the best dental service. Dr. Birch is incredible and talks you through everything and is great at checking in and making sure you're comfortable and alright even when he's with other patients. Jenny, the dental assistant is my absolute favorite. She's such a kind and gentle person. She makes conversation and is so helpful. I love this establishment and everyone who works there. The front desk ladies are the cutest and so welcoming also. I can't thank everyone enough for their patience and dedication in working to help me achieve the prettiest smile. Dr Birch and Staff are the best. Dr. Birch is all about the correct details of Dentistry. Not just because I know him personally but because he did an outstanding job on the final results of my Cerec crowns. Teeth and my smile are very important to me. I grew up with my Grandfather and Uncle as my Dentist and worked in the Orthodontic world. I am very particular with who works on my teeth. Charity, one of his assistants is also very skilled. Maria at the front desk is always kind, helpful and knowledgeable. His office is state-if-the-art, beautiful and very welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Birch and staff for your dental needs.

Thank you to Dr. Birch's office for helping us in an emergency situation and immediately getting me in for an evaluation. I was in a lot of pain with my wisdom teeth extractions and Dr. Skousen evaluated my needs and spent a lot of time helping to find solutions.
