This is done by harvesting a portion of real bone from your body or from a donor and placing it in the area of bone loss. Dr. Porcelli attributes all of his accomplishments and success to his number one passion his family life. He is married to his beautiful Romanian wife Alina, who is also in the health profession. Together they have two loving and amazing children, Matei Christian and Milla Sophia. He practices in both New York City and Hilton Head Island | Savannah area.
Dr. Friedman brings nearly 30 years experience to Biological Center for Dentistry. He graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry in 1982, and in 1984 received a qualification in Advanced Prosthodontics from the University of Southern California.
In 1994, Dr. Friedman was invited to join the faculty of the Misch International Implant Institute. In 2005, Dr. John Suzuki, a faculty member of the Misch Institute and Associate Dean of Temple University, asked Dr. Friedman to join the faculty of Temple. Dr. Friedman has, and continues to maintain positions at both institutions.
Dr. Friedman has worked and mentored in many private dental practices across the United States, and has placed and/or restored more than 10,000 implants. He is currently licensed in five (5) states: California, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Texas.
For his patients in the Lowcountry Dr. Friedman is able to offer our patients many dental services here in our Biological Center for Dentistry. Notable procedures include extractions, dental implant placement from single tooth to full mouth and bone grafting. However, he still consults with patientsby phone or Skype regarding nutrition, lifestyle, oral and overall health, and the importance of a healthy gut.
Dr.Als passion for periodontics in generaland for the LANAP protocol combined with his emphasis on evolutionary nutrition in particularis palpable. He gives seminars regarding the cutting-edge concepts of nutrition and laser treatment to the general public and is happy to spread the word among his fellow professionals. He has been a member of many dental and periodontal organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Al received his dental degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1972, and his Specialty Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Maryland, School of Graduate Dentistry in 1974. The following two years he was Chief of Periodontics at Charleston Air Force Base, and later had periodontal practices in Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina. Along with his active practice, from January 1990 through December 2001he wrote and published The Personal Report newsletter, which was mailed quarterly to every periodontist in the United States.
Dr. Al Danenberg received advanced training in evolutionary nutrition from theKripalu Center for Yoga and Health as well asTheCenter for Mind-Body Medicine. In June 2014, he received hisCertified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) designation as well as his certification as aCertifiedPrimal Health Coach. In 2015, Dr. Al Danenberg was appointed to the faculty of theCollege of Integrative Medicine and created the colleges integrative periodontal teaching module. Then, in April 2017, he earned the designation of ADAPT Trained Health Professional fromKresser Institute, the only functional medicine and evolutionary health training company.
