It has been just over one year since I went to BioDentist. This review is overdue. Dr. Augspurger and his staff were really incredible to work with from the very first phone call consult, the thorough exam, and my PTS around dental work. I needed upwards of 15 mercury fillings removed so it was a full day of work. I really felt more taken care of by him and his staff than any other care provider I've EVER worked with. They really went above and beyond! With their support, the experience actually brought me immense healing. They also scheduled me as soon as they could fit me in before my son had a major orthopedic surgery. Throughout the time of my son's first days recovering from his major surgery, somehow I cracked one of my new zirconia fillings from Dr. Augspurger and I needed repair/replacement on that a few weeks later. He was so generous about it and only charged me for the material to fix things, not his time. Beyond that, his staff continued to follow up with me in the weeks and months following. I'm grateful I could take care of the fillings as they brought me 20+ years of chronic migraines and hormone imbalance which I have been relieved of since the second month after completing the work. I'm continuing to experience improvements in my health since. I hope I can continue to go to BioDentist for the rest of the work I need, which includes oral surgery, but I'm unable to afford it at this time in my life. I love this entire establishment and everything they stand for. Support sustainable when you can!

Know before you go. Dr. John has an amazing education and understanding of the body in relation to mouth health. In a society where conventional dentists are LITERALLY making us SICK, the Bio-Dentist holds the key to fixing all of these ailments in your mouth. Really cool. However, understand that he is one of the most expensive dentists in the country and unfortunately I could not afford the $40,000 treatment plan that he came up with. I went in for a removal of an extra tooth and to see if I had infected/cavitations where I had my wisdom teeth removed as a kid (and it turned out yes I did have them). It should be noted that there are a LOT of dentists in Colorado that claim to be holistic but only a handful are TRULY holistic and practice bio-dentistry. It is important when you seek a holistic dentist that they perform the following protocols in relation to an extraction or surgery: 1) Do not use/offer nitrous oxide / instead use frequencies to calm the nervous system 2) Diagnose using a cone beam cat-scan and not just X-ray 3) Use ozone & oxygen as well as ozonated water in the mouth 4) Use bone graft so as not to leave a hole in the jaw 5) Use laser and remove the ligament underneath a tooth 6) Draw your blood, spin it out and use PRF in the cavitation 7) Use homeopathic remedies at the office 8) Sending any infected tissue to a lab for analysis of pathogens post-op 9) Will not typically prescribe anti-biotics If your "holistic" dentist does not do all of these things then you are not doing enough to ensure that the bone grows back and you are preventing cavitations and infections on root canals, extractions etc. FYI if you have ever had a root canal or tooth removed by a "Conventional" dentist I can almost guarantee that you have a cavitation that is smoldering with infection. When dentists just leave a hole in the bone, what do you think happens over time in a wet, warm, dark hole in your jaw? The most disgusting pathogens build up and you would never know it because it won't cause pain or swelling like a traditional infection in the soft tissue since it's in your bone. As a naturopath myself it was important to me to find the correct practitioner and I ended up going to Dr. Burke in Boulder who performed my extraction and cavitation surgery for $6,000 and used all of the techniques listed above. I was also recommend from Bio-Dentist to do a round of colonics, vitamin C & Ozone IV's before and after surgery. Dr. John has a wellness center attached to the dental practice so although I did not use him for surgery I was excited to use his wellness center for my IV's and colonics (he is the only person offering Ozone colonics in Colorado by the way). Sadly after calling the wellness center, leaving a message and emailing them, no one ever got back to me so I also had to go else where. Luckily, the IV place I selected (Colorado IV Infusion Therapy in Centennial) also offers rectal ozone, so I would do my colonic at Colorado Colonics & Detox Center, then I headed to CO IV Infusion for my IV's and rectal ozone.

Seem money hungry and not really interested unless you want to spend thousands of dollars with them. Pretty unfortunate.

I've been going to BioDentist for about 5 years now, mostly for regular cleanings and then Dr. John Augspurger removed cavitations from my four wisdom teeth sites. After my cavitation extractions, I had MAJOR shifts in my overall health. The entire BioDentist team were beyond supportive to me throughout my surgery process. This is MUCH MORE than just a Dental practice. The care and kindness exuded by the practitioners, doctors and staff helped me feel at home and comfortable amidst the fears that dental surgery can bring up. I am so grateful to Dr. John's expertise, personal care and wisdom!!

The new patient exam at BioDentist was FASCINATING! I was surprised by how much I didn't know about my own mouth and teeth and the dental work I have had done over the years. I had my mercury fillings removed and replaced and I had my bite fixed -- I had no idea it would make such a difference in the energy pathways in my body. I now have a night guard that I love and would never sleep without -- I sleep deeply and feel better than ever. The people at BioDentist are wonderful and really care about my overall health and quality of life.

BioDentist helped me recover from improper dental treatments in my past. I've not only healed, but become stronger than ever due to the knowledge I've gained working with them. Very few dentists know how to practice biological medicine at all, much less at this level. I'm very grateful to have found Dr. John and his team.

About 10 years ago, I had a root canal that was done on a back molar and then was crowned. I had constant pain ever since that day. 4 different dentists had examined the tooth for me and non of them could ever find a reason for my pain. After seeing Dr. Augspurger, he did a 3D x-ray on me and noticed that I had a massive infection at the tip of my tooth from where the root canal was done. I could clearly see it too on the x-ray. He extracted my tooth and when he did, I heard a "pop". Dr. Augspurger then presented my extracted tooth to me. At the very tip was a black, gelatinous bulb that stunk. It was the full infection that was causing me all of the pain in my mouth. The very next day, I had more energy and felt more clear-headed than I had in years. Everything Dr. Augspurger is doing is for the patient's full body health and I appreciate that.

Dr. John is a visionary leader in Biological Dentistry here in the US. Folks in Denver and around the country need to know that they have access to dentistry practices and treatments that will change not only their dental health but their overall health in profound ways.

Our family has used the services of the BioDentist over the past year + from cavitation surgery to metal filling removal to teeth cleaning. Love the emphasis on educating patients before performing procedures. They have truly been a rare bright spot over the past couple of years. Their effect on our family's health has been priceless! You can probably find the work done cheaper, but I doubt anyone does it better.

My experience here was somewhat disheartening. I've seen "bio" dentists all over the world for quite a few years now and generally speaking they're rather conservative. They do as little as possible in order to avoid excess trauma to the patients nervous system. What I found was the exact opposite here. The suggestion was to replace all of my filings and I have quite a few. That felt jarring and excessive to me. Perhaps they do all need to be replaced, eventually. As a separate issue; The woman who initially spoke to me on the phone said to call back and she'd schedule me in. I called back. She didn't return my call and I'd left a message. It was as if they were doing me a favor to get me in when I called the day before my appointment to confirm. When I paid the very very high bill after the appointment//first "consultation" the woman at the front desk could not verify what I'd already paid over the phone as the deposit and even after I'd showed her the invoice sent to my email, she didn't seem to believe me. It was rather bizarre. I'm feeling terrible about the exorbitant amount I paid to have not learned anything new and to have been offered an extreme solution that did not feel in line with what I know to be true of dentists claiming to be holistic.

I have had several dental anxiety for a majority of my life which resulted in me avoiding the dentist all together, which then resulted in me having many untreated cavities. I finally got the courage to go back to the dentist and was told I needed 8 cavities filled and a root canal. I was panic stricken and looking for alternative options. I stumbled upon the biodentist after extensive research and I am forever grateful for their team and services. I will never have anyone else touch my mouth ever again. I refer all of my friends here and recently had a situation where I referred someone in a tremendous amount of pain. Dr. John worked on him with short notice, showed immense compassion for helping him get better, and within an hour had a solution to the problem with a manageable treatment plan for success. As far price for services- it is slightly more expensive but I am here to tell you that you get what you pay for and your dental health is not something to mess around with! You will be happiest in the long haul when it's done right the FIRST TIME!! Love this practice and the people who run it!
