Dr. Billy L. Powell has been practicing orthodontics since 1987. He graduated from Humble High School and then received his Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University. Dr. Powell attended the University of Texas Dental School where he graduated with honors with a general dental degree, and then to the University of Connecticut, where he earned his certificate in orthodontics. In addition, Dr. Powell has attended the prestigious Pankey Institute, which is an advanced continuing education organization for dental professionals. He serves as an assistant professor of orthodontics at the University of Texas Orthodontic Program in Houston.

Dr. Powell has provided orthodontic care since 1987. He received his doctorate degree from the University of Texas Dental School. In addition to his orthodontic training, he completed advanced studies at the prestigious Pankey Institute. Dr. Powell has also been teaching in the University of Texas orthodontic program since 2002.
To help create the smile you want, we use Empower Clear self-ligating brackets, Invisalign clear aligners, and other modern braces. Invisalign is a popular choice for adults who are concerned about the appearance of braces. We also utilize advanced equipment, such as digital X-rays and a digital impression system.

Dr.Powell was the perfect orthodontist. But the new people who took over are scumbags. They use medieval torture on their patients. They drilled half my tooth off because "it didn't look right" without consent from me or my parents.

Dr. Powell and his staff are amazing. They are the Chick fil A of ortho. He explains everything in entirety and made myself and my 11 year old very comfortable. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Dr. Powell is a caring kind Doctor we are very pleased with our daughter's smile after braces for 2 1/2 years. Truly a beautiful job! His staff is wonderful. My daughter looked forward to the visits as they were always encouraging and supportive. Thank you Dr. Powell and staff for giving my daughter a beautiful smile to match her joyful spirit!

They are not good with special needs children. So if your kid has any type of special need, run the other way.

Excellent place to get your braces.. Dr. Powell/Dr. Bre are very knowledgeable and make you feel at home. The staff is amazing, helpful and very friendly. This is as close to a dentist office that I actually enjoy going for an appointment...strange but true. I have had braces myself (not by choice:) along with one of my sons and I wouldn't change a thing. We will be back with our 9 year old daughter very soon.

I sought treatment with Dr. Billy Powell recently as an adult never having braces. He's providing orthodontic treatment with Invisalign and the whole process has been great. He explains everything in great detail and is very thorough. His staff are also very friendly and helpful.

My 12 and 14 year olds are clients of Dr. Powell. After shopping around for an orthodontist, we appreciated Dr. Powell's nonaggressive (meaning: non-painful!) approach to orthodontic treatment and he has a great staff who makes you feel right at home. Dr. Powell also does a great job personally at communicating what is happing throughout your child's treatment. My other kids also like playing arcade games and watching movies in the waiting room :) We've recommend Dr. Powell to friends and they have had the same excellent customer service & experience.

I called to try and get an appointment. The lady was extremely rude and said they do not take transfers! They can only see new patients. Heaven forbid people move across the state and need to find a new orthodontist! Ridiculous how rude people can be, we will take our business somewhere else.

Dr. Powell is awesome! He made the whole experience of getting braces for my daughter so simple. My daughter was afraid of getting braces at first but Dr. Powell and his staff took the fear right out of it. She looks forward to her visits. Dr. Powell always welcomes parents to come sit with their kids if they like while he and his staff take care of their braces. They also have a payment plan which as a single parent helped me to pay for my daughter's braces. I would highly recommend Dr. Powell and his staff. They are the best!

This is a great guy with a great staff. The mold was broken with this guy because he's one of a kind. Dr. Billy treats every patient like their family it's amazing how he remembers all of their activities. His assistant casey is great also and my wife just loves the ladies at the front desk especially Karen. Not only are they unbelievably nice but the facility is extremely clean and neat.
