Its all about your comfort at Gilbert Dental. Thats why we make sure that every visit with us is a comfortable, pain-free dental experience. Because each patient is unique, our dental care will reflect your individual needs.
For patients who fear going to the dentist, the caring attention of Dr. Gilbert is a breath of fresh air. He and his staff work hard to create a warm, welcoming environment, where people actually look forward to their dental care.
I made a conscious decision when I opened my office to be a smaller patient focused dental practice, says Dr. Gilbert. In this environment we have the time to truly get to know our patients and making those connections helps our patients to feel more comfortable.
Besides comfort dentistry, Dr. Gilbert offers patients the most current procedures and dental technologies for general and cosmetic treatments. He focuses on knowing his patients well and using that knowledge to help them be more comfortable during visits, choosing the right procedures for their needs. He also works with patients to help them learn how to prevent dental problems before they start.
Dr. Gilbert received his Bachelor of Science in molecular biology from the University of Colorado and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Emory University School of Dentistry. He has served as an instructor at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He strives to better his practice through ongoing education and training, both for himself and for his staff. Most recently, he took continuing dental education courses at the Pankey Institute and through the Frank Spear and Kois Center continuum series.
When hes not fighting off tooth decay or gum disease, youre likely to find Dr. Gilbert enjoying the great outdoors with his two sons. Hes passionate about fly fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, and bird watching!
Initially Cecilia went to school to become a Pharmacy Tech but switched careers to the dental field as a dental assistant when she decided helping patients overcome their dental problems was more fulfilling than filling prescriptions.
Trisha got into dental care because she enjoyed working with people and wanted to make a difference in their health. A career in dentistry was a natural fit, because overall good health is directly related to good oral health! She went to school to get her certificate as a dental assistant, and then, 9 years later, she received her applied science degree in dental hygiene graduating with honors! Her patients mean more to her than just their shiny smiles. One of the things she likes the most about her job is getting to know her patients, not just the insides of their mouths.
Taking care of others comes naturally to Trisha, and she definitely has a strong nurturing gene. Her dog Tipper is a special needs rescue dog from Texas who has epilepsy. When shes not taking care of her patients, youll find Trisha enjoying family time with her husband and her 2 sons, who are now in college. She loves to cook, garden, do a little fishing, go skiing, and watch her youngest son play football whenever possible.Something you might not know about Trisha? She lived in Norway for a bit, and shes no slouch on the wakeboard!
Perhaps our most beloved staff member is Chance, our therapy dog. He is a therapy dog in training and has some big paws to fill. Dr Gilbert had two legendary golden retrievers prior to Chance, (Chase and Chaz), who were instrumental in helping fearful patients and children feel comfortable during their dental visits!
