Dr Aimee Snell is a native of Northern Nevada where she graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a bachelors degree in Biochemistry. She continued her education at the University of Michigan where she received her degree in Dentistry and residency in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Go Blue!
Dr Snell is a current member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association and the Northern Dental Association. She is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
As a busy mom of twins, Dr Snell understands how chaotic life can be. She is enthusiastic about not only teaching proper oral care, but introducing every child to a lifetime of positive dental experiences. She also prides herself on never running behind schedule. She considers herself fortunate to work in a profession that she loves, and even more blessed to work with children.
Dr Snell is married to her High school sweetheart Cody. They welcomed their twins Westyn and Harper in May of 2015. In her free time she enjoys traveling, running, cycling and anything outdoors with her family.
Dr. Ryann McLennan was born in Billings Montana but mostly grew up in Southern Louisiana where she attended The University of New Orleans and received her Undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Biology. Then she made the long westward journey to Oregon Health and Science University for dental school. There she earned her dental degree and met her now husband; a native Northern Nevadan and also general dentist in the Reno area.After school Dr. McLennan moved with her husband to the Northern Nevada area; they welcomed a baby girl in March 2019, and enjoy traveling, relaxing at Lake Tahoe, and taking walks around their neighborhood with their Beagle puppy.
Dr. McLennan is a member of the Nevada Dental Association, Northern Nevada Dental Society, and American Dental Association. She has spent her career in a pediatric dental office and is confident that she will provide the best comprehensive dental care to your youngest family members.
Dr. McLennan is excited to be joining the Big Blue Pediatric Dentistry team! She is compassionate and patient; loves working with children to help them overcome any fear or anxiety so that they feel at home in the dental office and can have happy healthy smiles for a lifetime!
I'm a native Floridan who's worked at Big Blue for 17 years. I love my family, my pets, and Disney World. My favorite activities include attending my son Noah's football games and swim meets. I've been in the dental field for over 15 years and love seeing smiles improve and children grow. My tip for kids? Floss, Floss, Floss
I have been working at Big Blue in the front office for a year and I love it. My favorite part is working with babies plus I enjoy working with my coworkers. I spend my free time with my husband Arnie, Daughter Lili and my fur baby Max
I grew up in Carson City and have been a pediatric dental assistant for 16 years. It is such a rewarding experience to be able to work with with kids on a daily basis. My husband and I have two beautiful children. I love spending time with my family, cooking, shopping, and traveling whenever possible.
I have been a dental assistant with Big Blue for three years and cannot wait to see what the future holds! I was born in the Bay Area and moved to Tahoe when I was six. Being raised in Tahoe I've grown to love spending time outdoors. When I am not working I enjoy bike rides, hiking and adventuring with my boyfriend and dogs. I welcomed my first child last year and I hope he enjoys the outdoors as much as I do.
I have been a pediatric dental assistant for 8 years and working with kids is my passion. When I am not at the office, I love spending time with my fiance Brandon. We enjoy bowling and riding our side by side with our three dogs.

I'm so glad we were referred to Dr. Snell. My newborn had severe lip and tongue ties but she was able to get us in quickly. She is super friendly and informative and good at what she does!

The staff were great. I took my 3.5yo & 18mo. Both had exams with Dr Snell. The older child additionally got their teeth cleaned/ flossed & had radiographs taken. The hygenist, Brittany, was very patient & did a good job checking in with the kids & getting their consent to get all the things done. It was a very easy visit.

We are from SF but due to the pandemic, we temporarily relocated from SF to Truckee. My six year old son needed a frenectomy to release his tongue to improve his speech and teeth alignment. I called a number of different pediatric dentist offices in Truckee and Reno. Most of the dentist offices that I called could not confirm how many frenectomies that the doctor had done, if the doctor used scissors, laser and if so what type of laser and what type of exercises that were recommended before having a frenectomy. They simply said to come in for your consultation and the doctor would explain and that the procedure would occur immediately afterwards if the doctor deemed it necessary. Big Blue Dentistry was the only place online that had information specific to a frenectomy, explained the process, discussed the value of myofunctional therapy and was willing to spend time over the phone to provide more detailed answers. Upon meeting Dr. Snell, we felt immediately comfortable. She took measurements similar to our myofunctional specialist in SF and provided an assessment of how necessary the surgery was or not in terms of the impact to his speech and his teeth/breathing. She didn't pressure us to have the procedure, but provided us with an objective evaluation. Since she had a son who needed a frenectomy, she decided to specialize in her helping other children and was well aware of what to look for and how to support it post operation. The procedure was very quick, but she spent a lot of time answering my questions and making my son and I feel comfortable both before and afterwards. She gave us her cell phone number following the procedure and said to reach out to her anytime. She check in on us the follow two morning to make sure that my son was okay and she continued to monitor us for a week post-procedure. I would highly recommend her. She is really knowledgeable and really cares about her patients. Even though we are an hour's drive away, we decided to go to her as our children's regular dentist. She is so knowledgeable, thoughtful and thorough in her approach that I felt like she was treating my children's care as if they were her own. Thank you Dr. Snell for being such a wonderful person and doctor. We are so happy to have you as our children's dentist!

My first experience with Big Blue Pediatric Dentistry was amazing and I really wanted to go back after my insurance changed, but after going back and forth for 2 weeks trying to get my kiddos pre-auth taken care of, it never happened. I was on the phone with my own insurance company for hours and was provided a list of pre-authorized dentists, which listed Dr. Snell as a covered provider. I was told by the insurance company what to tell their office so it could be preauthorized and when I provided the information, I was told by staff that it wasn't enough- that I needed to provide them with a phone number that my insurance company didn't have and was too generic from the website. Sad that I have to cancel with a doctor I respect, because the front office wasn't interested in trying to confirm the information my insurance company instructed me to tell them.

Simply the Best. My children have unique medical disabilities that Dr. Snell has been able to work with with no problems. Due to their inability to numb, they have been terrified to go to the dentist. We found Dr. Snell and heard about her abilities to use a lazer rather than the traditional method of numbing. It has been life changing for them! That and it was wonderful to have a Dr. who believes what we are saying, even though she did not know too much about their rare conditions .... she believed us and for that, that was all that mattered to my oldest daughter who has had nothing but problems and "labels" put on her by Dr.'s that just don't know. Thank you Dr. Snell and the entire office for making Dentistry accessible again!

Awesome Pediatric dentist! My son loved it there, it is very kid friendly! Nice and clean which I love! The staff are every friendly and have patients for the screaming child. My son is 1 and he screamed while the dentist was checking his mount and teeth. But that of course is normal! Overall I would recommend this for anyone looking a dentist for your children! Love! Love! Love!
