I love being able to improve peoples lives by giving them a nicer smile, greater confidence, and a healthier mouth. Each person I meet is as unique as the smile we create for them, and I find great satisfaction in building meaningful relationships that last, even after treatment is completed. My team and I enjoy our work and appreciate the opportunity to meet and help people. We treat all our patients like we would treat a member of our own family.
Working with patients to improve their smile and bite is extremely rewarding, especially when we see them become more confident and happy. I enjoy the whole process involved with braces, but love when we finally get to remove the braces and reveal the beautiful results of all the work we and our patients have done.

I participate in numerous hours of continuing education every year to stay at the cutting edge of orthodontics, and to ensure that were using the most efficient, evidence-based treatment modalities and technology. I want to be sure our patients get great results which will be stable and completed in the least amount of time possible.
I am a proud third-generation native of Portland, OR, and come from a family of dental health professionals. My father, Michael Biermann, is a pediatric dentist in north Portland, and my uncle, Bruce Biermann, is a general dentist in Sandy, OR.
When Im not in the office, I can most often be found playing racquetball, running, hiking, or golfing. I enjoy reading, cooking, good wine, and eating at any of the many great restaurants Portland has to offer.
Andy was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He comes from a family of Dentists, starting with his father and then his brother following the same route. Andy decided he was more interested in business than becoming a Dentist.
When Andy isnt working in the office, he enjoys spending time on the golf course with his wife and walked their 2 dogs. Andy is a diehard animal lover and will always stop to pet a dog when he has the opportunity. Andy also is a devoted sports fan and favors any team from Pittsburgh.
Rachelle was born and raised in The Biggest Little City (Reno, NV) and moved to Oregon in 2011. Prior to working at Biermann Orthodontics, Rachelle managed a spa and learned that the key to a great patient experience was an upbeat attitude and a genuine smile.
Victoria was born and raised in Ireland. She moved to the United States in 2011 where she married her amazing husband, AJ. Victoria recently rescued her first dog, Chester. When she is not running around and playing with Chester, you can find her cooking with her husband, reading, sewing, drawing and hiking.
You may also find her obsessing over her favorite sports team the Denver Broncos. Her favorite TV shows is Westworld and she loves watching anything corgi related. She looks forward to meeting you all and is very happy to offer you a cup of tea and striking up a good conversation. Victoria says, its just the Irish way!
Tara can often be found on her days off making her signature themed party drinks for late night dinner parties and holiday feasts (so shes definitely the gal you want to invite to your next soiree). She enjoys baking red velvet cakes and cookies for the holidays and taking food trips. When the weather permits, Tara likes to take leisurely walks on some of the many beautiful trails Oregon has to offer.
Jen comes to us from bright and sunny SoCal. She is known throughout the office for her contagious laugh and cheerful demeanor. In the 10 years that Jen has been in the orthodontic field, her favorite part has always been the lasting relationships shes built with each patient.
Jen is a photography pro and spends her days off with her husband exploring Oregon and taking pictures. She can also be found being dragged around by her rambunctious German Shepherd puppy, Canon (Yes, named after the camera brand)!
Born in Scotland, Melanie moved to the United States 3 years ago. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, golfing and being out on the water. If you find Mel at a bowling alley, just know she is a force to be reckoned with. Mel has a high score of 192! Mel is also a self-proclaimed True Crime addict (we would set up an intervention, but we are all guilty of a Tiger King binge now and again.)

Biermann Orthodontics is super attentive to clients and their needs. I have two children who have been seen at the Tanasbourne office over the last couple of years and will probably be seen for a few more years. Here are a few things that I love about this business: *Clean and modern dental equipment *Wonderful administrative and orthodontal staff *Easy location to get in and out of *If you want an appointment sooner than is available, they will actively follow up if someone cancels *Prompt follow up if you call with a question or concern *They offer multiple treatment options (e.g., traditional braces and Invisalign) We opted for traditional braces because I was concerned about the fidelity with which my 11 yr old daughter would wear Invisalign trays and how often we would have to deal with her tossing them out with her lunch tray at school. They laid the "do's and don'ts with braces" on pretty thick--which will be *exactly* what my son needs when it comes his time, but it terrified my daughter. She wasn't sure she would be able to eat any of her favorite foods again. A couple days in to having braces and she wondered why she was even worried! :-)

First I'm a new patient and had some apprehension before my visit. I was greeted with a professional warmth upon arrival. The staff was informative, efficient compassionate. Dr. Biermann has a very natural demeanor which elicits ease in an anxious patient. Thank you Rochelle (correct spelling hopefully) for all you assistance with everything; from walking in the door, choosing product type, payment options/ arrangements to finalizing the next appointment for fit of new aligners. See you in a month!!! I recommend this office for all othodontic needs.

Just completed my first consultation for Invisalign. The staff was so lovely from Victoria to Rachelle. I've always had dental anxiety and Rachelle's voice and demeanor as well as being able to answer my questions about treatment was so calming (I've never felt so zen in an app!) Dr. Biermann was wonderful as well and made sure to explain the goals and treatment plan, such a great visit overall. Thank you so much

I went in for Invisalign and then the pandemic hit. They take safety seriously here. I was able to email a picture when I had a question about my fit at one point and it was a good enough photo that I could consult over the phone. Communication is A+

I've been with them for little over a year now and I've been treated with nothing but respect. They really work well with my schedule especially when I'm a college student that works a part time job. I recommend coming here and getting your teeth worked on !!!

We found Biermann Orthodontics when we first moved back to Oregon. They were great at getting our girls Ortho care transferred and set up. They are an extremely professional and friendly office and take such good care of our girls. They are so good at giving us options when possible to consider what will best help our girls Ortho needs.

Dr. Biermann and staff are wonderful, the best! I started braces in 2013 as an adult with Dr. Biermann. The 18 month process was smooth with terrific results. Dr. Biermann and staff were always accommodating to my sensitive gag reflex. Since completing braces in 2015, I wear a bonded retainer wire behind front teeth to prevent teeth from moving. Over the years, the wire has come loose (sometimes lost) and Dr. Biermann will see me same day or day after to rebond the wire. Furthermore, when my dentist recommended I wear a nightguard, my dentist did not have the new scan technology and wanted to use old-school impressions which are difficult with a gag reflex. Dr. Biermann graciously performed the teeth scan and sent results to my dentist so I could get a nightguard. Dr. Biermann and team are always professional and caring with the highest customer service that I have enjoyed for almost 10 years now.
