My mission is to educate patients in preventative dentistry while providing exceptional dental care tailored to each patient's specific needs. Because each patient's dental health, comfort, and safety are top priorities, I aim to delivery satisfying top-notch dental care in our family-friendly office.
To remove fear from dentistry! My goal with anxiety patients is to connect with them on a personal level and make their visit the best dentist visit they've ever had so they feel comfortable repairing their smile.
I have been a registered Dental Assistant for 7 years, and have been with Bickford Family Dental Care since 2018. I completed Registered Dental Assistant training through the Dental Assistant training center in Kenmore, WA. I have a sincere passion for dentistry and enjoy watching patients restore their oral health and smile.
I am a mom to two kids ages 8 and 4. I live in Tulalip with my husband, kids and dog. I love to be in the community spending time with my best friends and hanging out at our fire pit. My guilty pleasures are watching Good Girls and Grey's Anatomy and enjoying tacos and popcorn any day of the week. When I'm not busy with work or home life, I'm usually at one of my kids' sports games, practices or school events.
My career in dentistry spans more than 25 years and multiple positions within the dental office. I have degrees in dental assisting, dental hygiene and applied health studies. I started my career in New York State as a Dental Assistant and Front Desk Associate before becoming the 100 year old practice's first Dental Hygienist. I love clinical Hygiene and have continued working as a Hygienist through moves to Texas and now Washington State.
I've known my husband of 16 years since high school in rural western NY. We have a teenage daughter that keeps us busy. Our family life revolves around all things bicycle. We also enjoy hiking and travel.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son and preparing for my next little one on the way! I also enjoy barrel racing and running my lesson and training business in my off time. My son enjoys mutton busting and our family uses rodeos as our little getaway weekends to new places all across the state.
My mission as a dental assistant is to build stronger relationships within my community and aid in the spread of knowledge about dentistry and the benefits of proper care. There's nothing that makes me happier than being able to meet new people and help each patient become more confident in their smile!
I graduated from Sno-Isle Tech (Everett, WA) in 2020 as Student of the Year in 2019-2020 Dental Assisting course while I was in high school. Though COVID-19 did manage to throw some curve balls at me during the time, I was able to successfully graduate from high school the same year and start working for Bickford Family Dental Care (formerly Sunrise Dental of Snohomish) where I've been working for a little over a year now! Every day I feel lucky and blessed to have been accepted into such an inviting and helpful work environment where I can continue to learn and grow more each and every day. Right now I'm currently attending school in order to become a dental hygienist at Lake Washington Technical College.
Outside of work, I dance for fun and do a lot of exploring as well as photography. Currently my favorite thing to do is find cool viewpoints out in the city or go on a fun hike! I also enjoy staying home and binge watching a good drama or two (or three) and spending time with my lovely guinea pigs, Latte and Mocha.
I've had the privilege or learning n the job over the last year. I had no previous dental experience prior to joining the team. The team here have been amazing at showing me the ropes! I had worked as the head front-office coordinator at a chiropractic office for almost 2 years.
I love spending time with my loved ones, baking, watching shows and movies, and drinking coffee. My time during quarantine really got me into baking. I recently made from scratch maple bacon donuts - YUM! If I do say so myself!

I've been a patient at Bickford Family Dental Care (formerly Sunrise Dental) for several years. I've always found the care to be excellent, the rates reasonable, and the service friendly and highly professional. I appreciate their cost estimates on necessary and recommended procedures. I've never been surprised by hidden costs or final bills that exceed the estimate.

Literally the BEST dentist & staff I've ever been too! Front desk girls are amazing, always remember who I am and super accommodating with appointment scheduling. I am a little high anxiety when it comes to dental procedures and everyone in the back always make sure I feel comfortable and take the extra time for whatever I need. I also take my young son to see them and they are so patient with him! I can not recommend them enough!

Had to have an emergency appt prior to vacation. Not only did they get me in before my flight but the Dentist did a thorough job of examining me and made sure there would be be no issues on my trip. Explained what he was doing and made me feel comfortable.

I've been going to the dentist here for years. I have moved to the other side of the country (Fl) and I come in for exam and cleaning every time I am back in town. They are like family.

I love coming here! Before I found Dr. Messah and his team I would Only visit the dentist for emergencies. When I found Bickford dental, I found a team who treats me well, understood my fears, respecting my fears and really putting me first. Because of such high level of understanding, patients, and compassion I've been going to the dentist on a regular basis and actually look forward to the visit! I no longer reschedule for fear! If I have to reschedule it's a real reschedule! If you have fears of the dentist come here! You won't regret it I promise !

If you're looking for a dentist look no further. Do yourself and your family a huge favor that will last a lifetime and switch now to Bickford Family Dental. It's very rare for the planets to align themselves to put so many amazing people together on the same team, at every position. I've never seen teamwork in operation on this level, it's transcendent. By its very nature it leads inevitably to dare I say perfection, or at least as close as it gets. You will feel welcome and well cared for, and going to the dentist will make you feel like the star of a Million Dollar Makeover show.

Well, the way they treat you is wonderful and relieving. I've been a patient here for a while now and sometimes I call alot and can be needy not on purpose just have work that is in progress, they NEVER seem annoyed, irrated or anything, they are very understanding, very willing to help, communicate well and you will always feel welcome even if you've been here alot. The front desk staff is incredibly caring and easy to talk to. They are happy and treat all very well. Very kind. If your looking for a great dentist and care especially about how front desk treat you. Come here. Also they are very clean!!! Always clean and organized, which means a very welcoming and comfortable environment.

Wow such a great experience! Emily at the front desk was so cheerful and a wonderful help! Dr. Messa and the rest of the staff were amazing as well. I really felt like family! Would 100% recommend to anybody! Best dentist ever!
